Kylie Jenner may be the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister, but now, she's also the richest.
According to Forbes, Kylie is now worth an estimated $900 million — and in a year, she'll become the youngest billionaire in history, at 21 years old. The success garnered from her makeup company, Kylie Cosmetics, allowed her to surpass Kim as the most profitable member of the family. In 2017 alone, Kylie Cosmetics sold an estimated $330 million worth of makeup, and the figure since the company's initial launch nears $630 million. And she owns 100% of it.
The rest of Kylie's net-worth comes from her Puma deal, product endorsements, her spot on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and the Kendall + Kylie clothing line.
The way Kylie sees it, platforms like Instagram have played a huge success. "Social media is an amazing platform," she told Forbes. "I have such easy access to my fans and my customers."
In the beginning, though, Kylie wasn't sure what to do. Kim had her mobile game, Kendall had modeling, and even Rob had socks.
"I struggled for a minute with finding something to do on my own," Kylie said.
But after Kylie's lips — and fillers, which she eventually admitted having — became a topic of conversation, she was ready to capitalize on the moment. Kylie told Forbes she put up $250,000 of her own money to produce the first 15,000 lip kits.
The rest was history.
As for the future, Kylie said she sees herself working on Kylie Cosmetics "forever."
"Maybe one day [I'll] pass this on to Stormi, if she's into it," Kylie said.
