Gal Gadot Dressed Up As Wonder Woman To Visit A Children's Hospital & I Feel All Warm & Fuzzy Inside

Every day I thank goddess not only that we have Wonder Woman in a world of male-dominated superheroes, but that her casting was so amazing and Gal Gadot kicks just as much ass off-screen.

Gal visited Inova Children’s Hospital in Annandale, Va. in costume as Wonder Woman. She likely visited on a break from filming Wonder Woman 1984, the upcoming sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman, in nearby Washington D.C. (That’s right, a DC Comics movie is filming in D.C.)

Patients and staff alike were geeking out about seeing a real-life superhero in person. Inova’s Dr. Lucas Collazo tweeted, “You are a true wonder woman.” Dr. Inova is right, this is definitely something that the Amazonian queen would do in real life!

Wonder Woman 1984, which is set to be released in July 2019, is directed once again by Patty Jenkins, making it another awesome female superhero movie with a female director. The new movie also features Chris Pine reprising his role as Wonder Woman’s friend and love interest Steve Trevor and Kristen Wiig as villain Cheetah. I’m pretty excited for the sequel, but surely not excited as these kids were hanging out with Wonder Woman!

Wonder Woman isn’t the first superhero to surprise kids in the hospital. A few years ago, Chris Evans (Captain America) and Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy’s Starlord) bet that whoever’s home team lost the 2015 Super Bowl would go visit a children’s hospital in their superhero costume. In the end, both of them paid a visit to Seattle Children’s Hospital, with Evans in costume as Cap.

I love seeing these little acts of good that Hollywood can put out into the world. Way to go, Gal, for using your super persona for a good cause!
