In the past several weeks, Ariana Grande has been the talk of the entertainment world following her speedy engagement to Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson. To be engaged at 24 years old (even after several years of dating) is uncommon in today’s society—however, Ariana’s extremely short time dating Pete has essentially divided fans into those who ship the relationship and those who find it somewhat concerning.

Ariana recently responded to a couple of tweets that inquired about her new song "Pete," the validity of her feelings and the stability of the relationship. One tweet stated, “‘Pete’ girl we know you love him, but are you dumb?” to which the pop singer responded, “nah.”

The simplicity of her reply suggests she’s confident in what she has with the SNL star, and she doesn’t need to get all defensive. In another tweet, the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer elaborated on why she hasn’t been more up in arms about all of the criticism: “I been the fuck thru it, and life’s too short to be cryptic and shit about something as beautiful as this love I’m in.”

Whether that means getting new tattoos with someone she loves or getting engaged only after a few weeks of dating, Ariana is living her best life after previously being in a toxic relationship and experiencing the traumatic bombing at her concert in Manchester, England. We just want her to make the best decisions for her right now.
