House Republicans to Force Vote on DACA
In an attempt to beat a June 25 deadline to reach a deal on DACA and border funding, BuzzFeed News reports that House Republicans held a meeting Wednesday evening to reach a compromise on a long-term solution for DACA and immigration legislation — but reportedly left the meeting without a GOP-backed bill. As the deadline approaches, many moderate GOP House members have said they plan to put forward a discharge petition to force a vote on Democrats’ proposed permanent DACA solution — which could take place as early as next week.

Melania Trump Just Made Her First Public Appearance After Being Treated for a Kidney Condition
After spending five days in the hospital following treatment for a “benign kidney condition” according to her aides, FLOTUS Melania Trump made her first public appearance since the surgery on Wednesday the New York Times reports. The first lady joined President Trump at a meeting about the upcoming hurricane season at the Federal Emergency Management Agency, where he told reporters, “She went through a little rough patch, but she’s doing great.”
The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania. During her recovery from surgery they reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the W.H. (and me) for N.Y. or Virginia, to abuse. All Fake, she is doing really well!

The same day, Trump accused the news media of spreading what he described as “conspiracy theories” about his wife’s absence (despite, as the Times notes, having a history of spreading several himself).
A Study Found That Having Sex With Robots Is Bad for Us, Because Obviously
Welp, we definitely saw this coming: a scientific study published in BMJ Sexual & Reproductive Health has found that human-robot sexual relationships are likely not healthy, and that doctors do not recommend these types of relationship. Which all seems pretty obvious until you consider the fact that, as Cosmo notes, male enthusiasm for sex robots has been surprisingly (or not so surprisingly) high. While doctors note that there is very little data (for obvious reasons) on human-sexual relationships, the possibilities don’t look great.
“It is speculative whether the development of a sexbot marketplace will lead to lesser risk of violence and infections, or drive further exploitation of human sex workers," the report reads. "Sexual violence survivors and activists already campaign against ‘rape culture’ the idea that (overwhelmingly) male violence is regarded as entitled and prosecution is so difficult that perpetrators of sexual abuse act with impunity.”
