Well, this is certainly a blast from the past!

In an era where revivals are succeeding left and right (we're looking at you, Will and Grace and Roseanne), it only makes sense that one of our classic sleepover series gets rebooted.

The Baby-Sitters Club is a series of books by Ann M. Martin that were written between 1986 and 2000. The series was so successful that it has over 200 books and multiple spin-offs. The plot centered around a group of teenage girls from all different backgrounds who form a business to help parents in the neighborhood find babysitters for whenever they needed.

The original show based off the books aired on HBO in 1990 and featured 13 episodes. A movie was later released in 1995 that starred Rachel Leigh Cook of She's All That fame and Larisa Oleynik from 10 Things I Hate About You.

News of The Baby-Sitters Club TV adaptation was released this week and it was confirmed that the show will be produced by Walden Media and Michael De Luca Productions. The show is set to be structured in the form of 30-minute episodes, which will focus on the issues that the teen girls face, like their thriving babysitter business, and it will also touch on more serious topics like parental separation, racism, and feeling insecure.

All of the original book characters are set to be included in the show, and Broad City's Lucia Aniello is rumored to be in talks to direct and be an executive producer. Rachel Shukert, who has worked with Netflix hit GLOW, is also in talks to be showrunner.

I can't wait to be reunited with my fictional girl squad! Keep the revivals coming.
