Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry's on-and-off ex-girlfriend of seven years, was at his wedding to Meghan Markle last weekend — but it turns out, a call from the now Duke of Sussex almost stopped Chelsy from going.
According to Vanity Fair, the two shared a "tearful phone call" just days before the ceremony. "It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on," a source told the magazine. "Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding."
She obviously ended up attending the royal wedding; however, both Chelsy and Harry's other ex who attended the ceremony, Cressida Bonas, were not invited to the private evening reception. But Chelsy seemed to be fine with not making the cut, as the same source told VF she "promised Harry she wouldn't try and gatecrash the party."
Plus, she probably got way more attention than she bargained for just by showing up to Saturday's wedding. Chelsy's various expressions were caught on camera and resulted in a slew of tweets and memes.

Don't wanna panic you all but I think Chelsy Davy might object. #RoyalWeddingpic.twitter.com/TTeqHMIoCH

This is exactly the reason why you don't invite an EX to your wedding.

Regardless of how Chelsy felt, she was nothing but friendly when greeting Markle at the lunchtime reception. According to the Mirror, Chelsy was "all smiles" while hugging the bride.
Harry and Chelsy officially split in 2010, but the two seemed to remain friends as she was even invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding.
