POTUS' Personal Doctor Admits He Didn't Write That Letter Praising Trump's Health After All

CNN first reported that Harold Bornstein, President Donald Trump’s personal doctor, admitted that Trump actually dictated the 2015 letter detailing the condition of his health himself.

"He dictated that whole letter. I didn't write that letter. I just made it up as I went along,” Bornstein told CNN.

The letter originally raised suspicion because it sounded to similar to Trump’s own speaking style.

NPR noted some of the most questionable phrases in the original letter, "If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.” The letter also said that “only positive results” came from Trump’s campaign trail medical exam.

The letter barely touched on specific medical conditions.

USA Today reported that the only significant pieces of information in the original letter were Trump’s “astonishingly excellent” blood pressure at 110/65 and the fact that Trump had lost 15 pounds in the previous year.

CNN’s editor-at-large, Chris Cillizza, emphasized the importance of this note and why it shouldn’t be dismissed as a joke. During the election, Trump undermined Hillary Clinton’s health as a way prove that she wasn’t fit to lead, and this letter proves that he will do anything to win. Trump faked the letter to try and one-up Clinton—and it took us years to confirm that.
