Iced coffee season is officially upon us and Starbucks is giving the people what they want. The coffee giant has officially announced the addition of two new frappuccino offerings to its menu — and get excited, because a brand new ingredient called Sweet Cold Brew Whipped Cream is involved in both.
The Triple Mocha and the Ultra Caramel frapps are the newest additions to Starbucks's menu — and even though both sound particularly appealing this time of year, you'll be able to order them all year long. As Food & Wine reports, both have a base of Sweet Cold Brew Whipped cream — a brand new whipped cream infused with cold brew, white chocolate and dark caramel sauce. (And just FYI, you can also order it as a topping on any other Starbucks drink for the sweet price of just 50 cents.)
The Triple Mocha option tops off the Sweet Cold Brew Whipped Cream with a drizzle of dark mocha sauce, all of the classic mocha frappuccino ingredients and *another* layer of Sweet Cold Brew Whipped Cream. Meanwhile, the Ultra Caramel frapp offers a drizzle of dark caramel sauce, topped with the classic caramel frappuccino recipe and more Sweet Cold Brew Whipped Cream to finish it off.
If you're ready to celebrate the fact that summer is so close you can taste it (literally), both new frapps are available starting today — and Starbucks is sweetening the deal even more with yet another Starbucks Happy Hour for Rewards members this Thursday, May 3 from 3 p.m. to close where you can try a grande or venti size for half off.
