If you're anything like me, you were a One Direction obsessed teenie bopper at some point in your life. So, to brighten your day and make midterm week as bearable as possible, here is some good news for you, 1D alumni: Liam Payne hinted to German media source Promiflash that the boy band has been considering linking up sometime in the distant future. You heard that? A One Direction reunion, kids.

After the band slowly parted their ways during a hiatus to work on their solo careers, Directioners were left heartbroken seeing their favorite boy band fall apart. But to be honest, this hiatus has proved to be a very good thing for these five, as they've had success in their own careers. Can't even blame the boys for going their own ways—after all, you gotta do what's best for you! (Except Zayn, of course, because he actually left the band and gave us an actual heartbreak at the tender age of 14).

Since all the drama of the breakup has sizzled down and the boys have had time to grow on their own, cutie Liam Payne said, "This part is now so important for us to be able to make that show, and it's the only way really that One Direction could get any bigger."

While this reunion is expected to gather most of the boys together, it's unclear of whether or not Zayn will come back to the crew. In the past, he's expressed his own issues with being part of the band, such as hectic road trips and having a hard time dealing with the fame that came with being in the world's most popular boy band. While this is definitely understandable, it would still be a dream come true if every member came together for a reunion.

Everything's still up in the air for now, as a reunion hasn't been officially announced, but us former 1D stans are crossing our fingers in hopes that this actually happens.
