In the wake of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High Schooling shooting near Parkland, Fla., the Parkland survivors have organized several anti-gun violence protests and rallies. From March for Our Lives to sit-ins at the state capitol. As Parkland survivors continue to organize anti-gun violence rallies, not every agrees with the survivors’ political efforts—and some people are allegedly threatening certain survivors.

As NBC News reports, a talk show affiliated with Sinclair Broadcast Group allegedly tweeted a threatening message to one of the Parkland survivors and young activists, David Hogg. On March 26, Jamie Allman, who hosts a morning radio show entitled “The Allman Report” on KDNL-TV which is owned by Sinclair, tweeted, “When we kick their ass they all like to claim we’re drunk. I’ve been hanging out getting ready to ram a hot poker up David Hogg’s ass tomorrow. Busy working. Preparing.”

Because Allman’s alleged threat includes sexual assault, against a high school student and a minor nonetheless, Sinclair quickly removed Allman from his show, according to the Huffington Post. Although Allman’s broadcast was immediately canceled and taken off the air, the Independent claims that Allman officially sent in his resignation after as a result of these accusations.

While Allman has since made his Twitter account private and he is no longer affiliated with KDNL or its parent company Sinclair, several advertisers have redacted their advertisements from the radio show.

As The Wrap notes, three advertisers disbanded from Allman’s show his tweeted circulated. Some of the advertisers that have since revoked their advertisements from the show has even used their social media to tweet their dismay. “This is a most unfortunate situation and what has taken place is contrary to PALM Health’s core values. We have contacted the radio station not only to voice our concern, but we have also stopped advertising on Jamie Allman’s show,” on advertiser tweeted.

Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time David Hogg or any of the other Parkland survivors have been subjected to apparent attacks. Last month, USA Today says that Laura Ingraham took a brief hiatus from her position at Fox News after she allegedly attacked Hogg’s college admission status. Since the Ingraham incident, advertisers boycotted Ingraham’s talk show, and ABC 7 reports that UC Irvine has accepted Hogg’s college application (but Hogg will likely take a gap year before he enrolls in college).
