As painful as it is to say, Anna Faris has reportedly re-entered the dating world, which means her relationship with Chris Pratt is really, truly over. Following her split in August, PEOPLE reports Anna has been dating Michael Barrett, a cinematographer who's working on Faris's upcoming film Overboard. OMG!
The pair have been spotted on several outings, including dinners and a trip to the carnival. How cute. “Anna has been hanging out with Michael for weeks,” a source told PEOPLE. “They were hanging out occasionally in September, but started seeing each other more frequently recently."
If your heart is breaking a little at the thought of Chris and Anna's breakup, Faris has said that though they aren't together, they're still good friends. "We’ll always have each other and be incredible friends,” Anna recently told PEOPLE. “There is still so much laughter in our lives together, and he is so proud of me, still. We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time. And I think I crack him up—unless he’s a really good actor and great at faking laughter.” Thank goodness.
Though fans can't help but be upset by their separation, Anna totally gets it. "It’s understandable that people seemed so invested in our happiness together. All I can say about that is, it’s all true, that we truly adore each other, and we love each other, I think it still comes through.”
With all of this in mind, I respect Anna for taking fans' feelings into account and assuring everyone that she and Chris will always be friends. I'm excited for Anna's new relationship. I hope it brings her happiness.
