Good morning Her Campus! With a break-neck news cycle, there is no possible way for you to stay on top of every story that comes across your feeds—we’re all only human, after all.

But, life comes at you fast. So grab a cup of coffee and settle in for this quick and dirty guide to stories you might’ve been sleeping on (like, literally. It’s early.)

Trump Isn't Happy With the NFL's Official Stance on #TakeAKnee

After NFL commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that players will be allowed to either kneel or sit during the national anthem without being punished, President Donald Trump tweeted about his disapproval of the decision.

"Total disrespect for our great country!" Trump said of the announcement.

While meeting with union representatives and players, Goodell assured that the organization would help players fight against the social injustices they are often kneeling for. Despite Trump's response, the NFL has never had a rule forcing players to stand for the anthem.

A Federal Judge Allows an Undocumented Teen an Abortion After the Presidential Administration Refused Her One

After the Trump administration denied a pregnant, undocumented teen an abortion, DC District Judge Tanya Chutkan ruled that the 17-year-old girl, currently in a Texas detention center, could be taken to a facility for the procedure. CNN reports that Chukan's order prevents officials from interfering or obstructing the teen's access to an abortion. The teen is in the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, as she came to the United States without a parent or guardian, but still had judicial permission to receive an abortion. Despite having both permission and money for the procedure, officials reportedly refused to take her to an actual appointment.

Look Out for These Three New Snickers Flavors

You won't see these on Halloween this year, but next summer, you can expect to find three new flavors of Snickers Bars in stores. Debuting in June 2018 as part of the candy's Hunger Bar collection, the flavors have been announced as Fiery, Espresso and Salty & Sweet. I don't know about you, but the Salty & Sweet bar sounds like it'll be my go-to craving snack next year.

What to look out for...

Today celebrates Diwali, the annual Hindu festival of light. It's often seen as a chance to show gratitude for what you have, so chill out a bit and smile about the fact that it's Thursday!
