Good morning Her Campus! With a break-neck news cycle, there is no possible way for you to stay on top of every story that comes across your feeds—we’re all only human, after all.

But, life comes at you fast. So grab a cup of coffee and settle in for this quick and dirty guide to stories you might’ve been sleeping on (like, literally. It’s early.)

GOP Congressman Who Reportedly Wanted Mistress to Get an Abortion Quits

HuffPost reports that Rep. Tum Murphy plans to resign from Congress after making headlines for reportedly asking his mistress to have an abortion during her pregnancy scare. House Speaker Paul Ryan shared that his resignation will go into effect on Oct. 21.

"It was Dr. Murphy's decision to move on to the next chapter of his life, and I support it," Ryan said in a statement. "We thank him for his many years of tireless work on mental health issues here in Congress and his service to the country as a naval reserve officer."

A Senate Hearing Was Crashed by Mr. Monopoly

At a Senate Banking Committee hearing for Equifax on Wednesday, a peaceful protestor chose to dress up as the board game character Mr. Monopoly. Confused? Well, at the hearing discussing Equifax's data breach, protester Amanda Werner of Americans for Financial Reform and Public Citizen, reportedly dressed up to address unfair arbitration causes.

"Arbitration is a rigged game," Werner said in a statement. "Bank lobbyists and their allies in Congress are trying to overturn the...rules so they can continue to rip off consumers with impunity."

I may not exactly understand this reasoning, but kudos to Werner for coming up with a creative way to protest.

Burger King Is Releasing a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milkshake

Be honest: Burger King has always been inadequate when you compare it to McDonald's or Wendy's. In case a nostalgia-fueled beverage is what would persuade you to pay Burger King a visit, you'll want to know that the chain will soon introduce a Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake. Burger King has previously experimented with a Lucky Charms milkshake, which was surprisingly successful, so cereal-flavor milkshakes may be the next big thing. Check out your local BK for this $2.99 shake!

What to look out for...

By the time you read this, we'll likely know who has received the Nobel Peace Prize. The winner will be announced in Oslo at the Norwegian Nobel Institute.
