Trump Mentioned a Non-Existent African Country in a Speech, & Twitter Is Lit With Witty Responses

We all misspeak at important moments every now and then, and President Donald Trump is definitely no exception. In his latest vocal blunder, Trump apparently mentioned a non-existent country while addressing several African leaders during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Huffington Post says. I mean, it could happen to anyone...

"Nambia's health system is increasingly self-sufficient," Trump said in a speech listing some of the continent's recent achievements on Wednesday. 

In what was clearly a case of Trump needing a pair of glasses, White House transcripts reveal that he likely mispronounced the name of the southwestern country Namibia.

Although the mistake was minor, the mistake was enough to make the internet graze over the speech's focus on Africa's "tremendous business potential." Instead, the error received so many witty responses that "Nambia" began trending on Twitter. 

This was a harmless mistake, but Trump may not be leaving a very strong impression on these leaders. Earlier this week, his 40-minute speech that included threats of "totally destroying" North Korea sparked a popular GIF of the Zimbabwean committee looking pretty uninterested. 

However, Trump's point about Africa's business potential is totally valid, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. Particularly, Namibia is a huge mineral supplier. 

Let's hope a pronunciation guide accompanies Trump's future speeches, just in case!
