After the official separation of one of America's favorite couples, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, the nation is left to wonder if love actually exists. As we mourn the end of their whirlwind romance, Entertainment Weekly confirms that Anna's upcoming memoir, Unqualified (which is pretty much all about her relationship with her soon to be ex-husband), is still scheduled to release in October.

Similar to her podcast, Anna Faris is Unqualified, where she doles out romantic advice, the actress's unreleased book is a deeper look into her early relationship with Chris, their eight years of marriage and their life together as parents to four year old son, Jack. As EW reports, the foreword of the book was written by Chris, and it's a clear indicator of how raw and honest the memoir is sure to be.

He writes in the opening pages, "She is fierce and very loyal, she rarely punishes people. But when she does, it’s powerful and terrifying, and when it’s over, it’s really over. (Power and terror are acceptable in a partner but absolutely necessary in a mother, as far as I’m concerned). And she does mother very well, both our son, Jack, and me, when needed.”

This is what we know about the book so far: Anna writes highly of her husband, emphasizing the most positive aspects of his character. She details how they met on the set of the romantic comedy Take Me Home Tonight in 2007 and how their friendship turned into romance once she left her first husband, Ben Indra. The evolution of their relationship moved quickly as they fell in love, moved in together and spontaneously eloped on a trip to Bali—all within two years of meeting each other.

She writes of their relationship, “When I met Chris, the most striking thing about him was that he knew how to be happy. When I looked back at my marriage, and many of my relationships before it, I realized I had always equated cynicism, discontent, and anger with intelligence, and getting together with Chris made me reexamine that.”

Anna goes on to explain how the couple stayed strong amongst the celebrity gossip and false tabloids that so often derail Hollywood romances. The most upsetting part is that Anna also reportedly writes about her family's future. In her own words, she pictures growing old with Chris and living a simple life, saying that those dreams made the harsh realities of their current lives more bearable.

Despite the couple's recent split, publishers at Dutton say the book will hit shelves on October 24th. From what we read in Chris's foreword and other teasers, Unqualified is expected to be a real, truthful and passionate account of the beloved couple's life together—perhaps giving us hope for the future of romance after all.
