People Actually Thought Taylor Swift Was Being Carried Around in a Large Suitcase, But She Wasn't

Taylor Swift has been keeping a pretty low profile the past several months, even passing on hosting her annual Fourth of July bash. But is she so camera shy that she's now being carried out of her apartment in a suitcase? No, that's just as insane as it sounds. 

On Monday, Splash News shared a paparazzi picture of some men moving a large suitcase out of Taylor's Tribeca apartment with the caption, "Is Taylor Swift being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribecca [sic] apartment??", and T. Swift fans flipped out.

According to Cosmopolitan, Splash News has since retracted the statement. Cosmo reports that an Irish radio station, Spin 1038, was the first to question the Splash News caption that claimed Taylor was in the suitcase. "I literally just put the phone down from someone on Taylor’s camp. We’re having to actually retract that,” a Splash News rep told Spin 1038. “The report stated it as a fact, which we actually don’t know. How could we?" 

Even though the story is now debunked, fans were momentarily and understandably obsessed with the idea that Taylor Swift was actually leaving her apartment in a suitcase.

Now that we know Swift was not in the giant suitcase, we'll just have to keep waiting for signs of life from T. Swizzle.
