There was basically nothing that defined our childhoods more than one of the stars of our favorite Disney Channel shows holding up a wand and tracing that ~iconic~ mouse ears outline and announcing their name and the fact that we were watching Disney Channel. (Duh.) So luckily for us, there is video evidence of an all-grown-up Hilary Duff recreating hers—and it's actually everything.
The former Lizzie McGuire and current Younger star appeared on BuzzFeed's "Truth or Dare Jenga" and was of course dared to see if she still had it in her. Obvi, she did, although her mouse ears drawing skills seem to have gotten a little less… accurate over the years. Close enough though, right?
The actress then went on to clear the air about those behind-the-scenes videos on Twitter that show she was actually less than thrilled to be filming the original thing—and it turns out she was way more okay with it than her teenage self might have looked.
"It’s so ridiculous. It’s so funny though. So we had to do the thing and then they put it in CGI, the mouse ears," she explains in the video. "And then they made us do it like 900 times. And I think I like lost all personality at that point. Plus, I was, like, a pubescent teen—I was like, what are they making me do, this is invisible!"
Of course, she also added that she's now happy she did it, because it's truly hilarious. Girl, I agree entirely. So much nostalgia.
