PEOPLE reports that Bachelor in Paradise’s Corinne Olympios will not take legal action after previously announcing that her own lawyers will continue investigating alleged sexual misconduct between her and DeMario Jackson on set. Olympios announced in a statement that her legal team’s investigation is completed
“While I never filed complaints or accusations against anyone associated with Bachelor in Paradise, my team and I felt it was very important to be thorough in getting to the bottom of what had occurred,” Olympios said. “I felt victimized by the fact that others were judging me through conflicting and unsubstantiated reports, while I myself had no recollection of the events that transpired.”
Olympios also acknowledged the changes that BiP production has instilled now that the show’s fourth season has resumed filming. Although Olympios and Jackson haven’t returned to set, contestants are reportedly required to voice verbal consent to the production team before engaging in a hookup, among other new rules. Despite the safe environment producers have created, Olympios is firm in her decision to stay uninvolved.
“While I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to have been a participant on The Bachelor, and while I was invited to return to Bachelor in Paradise when production resumed, I respectfully made the decision not to return,” she announced. “I understand the media’s interest in this story, and I greatly appreciate my fans’ concerns for my well-being, but I think it is best if I keep any further thoughts private for now.”
Whether or not Bachelor Nation will eventually learn the truth about this incident is still unknown. Now that both Warner Bros. and Olympios’ investigations have concluded, it’s safe to say that my curiosity is definitely at a new high. With Bachelor in Paradise’s return scheduled for later this summer, answers for fans will definitely come pretty soon.
