This morning, with his presumably ample free time, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to criticize yet another woman journalist.
I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came..

...to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!

The woman who Trump refers to as "low I.Q. Crazy Mika" and states was "bleeding badly from a facelift" is Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC's Morning Joe. Brzezinski is a Democrat who has in the past commented on the gendered wage disparity she has experienced in her journalism career.
Naturally, people were baffled across the Internet landscape. The following tweet is from an NBC News spokesman:
Never imagined a day when I would think to myself, "it is beneath my dignity to respond to the President of the United States."

The MSNBC corporation swiftly responded, however, releasing a statement following Trump’s tweets. “It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job,” it said, according to The New York Times.
In an interview with Fox News today, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Trump’s deputy press secretary, was unconcerned about the gendered implications of her boss’ comments. “This is a president who fights fire with fire and certainly will not be allowed to be bullied by liberal media, and the liberal elites within the media,” Sanders said.
Glad everyone here is acting like mature adults!
