McDonald's is Celebrating Pride Month in This Awesome Way

As if we didn't love McDonald's fries way too much already, now, we have reason to love them even more. The fast-food chain just debuted new, rainbow-decorated fry boxes in support of Pride Month that will be available at select locations across the United States throughout the month of June. Um, hello, we want in on this!

“The rainbow fry boxes are a fun way to show our support of the LGBTQ community using one of McDonald’s most iconic and recognizable items; however, these fry boxes are ‘small potatoes’ in the grand scheme of our commitment to this community,” said Cathy Martin, co-chair of the McDonald’s PRIDE Network, and vice president of McDonald’s Baltimore Washington Region, in a press release. “We are proud to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ community, including our employees, customers and beyond, each and every day.”

Cosmopolitan reports the first pride-themed boxes were available in Washington D.C. from June 9 to June 11. The boxes will now be available at participating Greater California Bay Area locations throughout the month of June, according to SF Gate.

McDonald's spokesperson Kim Knapp said in a statement, "McDonald's has always been a company that has supported diversity and inclusion of its employees and extended McDonald's family. We are proud to create an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued, appreciated and supported. As an official sponsor of this year's Pride festivities, we looked for a unique way to bring that celebration into our restaurants throughout the Greater Bay Area."

We are loving everything about this. You go, McDonald's!
