I’m obsessed with the modern-chic look that Bella Hadid sported at the 2017 CFDA Awards, on June 5. Hadid’s lob hairstyle had a vintage feel to it, with tucked-in ends and piece-y bangs. The style was created by Jen Atkin, the founder of OUAI Haircare. Atkin is famous for the gorgeous styles she has created for celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Chrissy Teigen, as well creative hacks that will lead you to your best hair. Read below to learn exactly how she styled Bella's hair for the awards:

  1. Start with damp hair, and prep it using the OUAI Wave Spray ($26) and OUAI Hair Oil ($28).
  2. Blow-dry damp hair using the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer ($499.99), or you go-to dryer.
  3. Brush the lower half of your hair with the FROMM Hot Paddle Brush ($19.99) while you blow-dry to create a smooth, straight look.
  4. Using the FROMM Copper Thermal Round Brush ($17.99), add volume to the top of the head and crown.
  5. Part hair down the centre once hair is dry, and use the GHD Curve Soft 1.25" Curling Iron ($199) to gently bend hair inwards, towards your face, to achieve a tucked-in look.
  6. Not ready to commit to permanent bangs? Use a Beauty Works Clip-In Fringe ($5.62) at the front of the hairline to get the look.
  7. To get a better hold on the fringe, first back comb the small section of the hair where the clips are placed.
  8. Smooth and add shine by applying a small amount of the OUAI Finishing Crème ($24) with your hands.
  9. Keep your locks in place by finishing with the OUAI Medium Hair Spray ($26).
