We've seen some pretty ridiculous inventions lately. Just last week, a company planning to make rompers for dudes raised well over $350,000 on kickstarter. But here's one new invention that's probably never crossed your mind—a latte served in the hollowed-out skin of an avocado.
An Australian coffee shop in Melbourne called Truman Cafe originally created this Frankenstein's monster as a joke, but now internet users from all over the globe are planning trips to the cafe to try it out, according to The Telegraph. This proves that you can add avocado to literally anything, and people will want it.
Jaydin Nathan, a barista at the Truman Cafe, told News.com.au, "It was actually just a joke. We weren't actually selling them but then someone came in today and wanted one."
This kind of seems like it could be a good way to cut down on waste—but there are obviously major issues with it. Avocado mixed with coffee sounds really gross, for one, and you would have to leave some of the avocado in the skin in order for it to hold its shape as a cup for your latte. #Avolatte strugs, amirite?
But who knows—maybe by this time next year we'll all be drinking our coffee out of avocados. After all, we're living in a post-Unicorn Frappuccino world where Donald Trump is the president of the United States. Anything's possible!
