Trump Had a Twitter Meltdown About James Comey & the Media This Morning

President Donald Trump had a few words for former FBI Director James Comey this morning—and for the press, too. Trump's firing of Comey has left the country confused on what's really going on in the White House. So, he took to Twitter to clear some things up.

That's right, he "better hope" that our president is not suggesting that there are secret tapes of their conversations with that will be released if he leaks any information. As if Comey has not been through enough, he now has to deal with what seems to be blackmail from the President of the United States. Some have compared Comey's firing to the Saturday Night Massacre under Richard Nixon, and this tweet about "tapes"didn't help matters.

The New York Times reports that the president "appeared agitated" about news reports that suggested he fired Comey for trying to investigate ties between Trump's campaign and Russia. By the looks of his tweets, he also seems to be concerned about the media's perception of the actual firing. Since there has been controversy on why he actually fired Comey, people have been coming up with their own theories. Did he fire Comey for disloyalty? Or, was it because of how he handled Hillary's emails? Was it because of the Russia investigation?

Instead of telling us why, Trump actually said that we can't trust his staff to provide journalists with completely accurate information.

Then, he suggested that all press briefings should be canceled for this reason, with "press briefings" in quotes, and suggested that the briefings be replaced with written statements.

For someone who is praised for supposedly not caring what the public thinks, Trump seems to have a heated response for everything his "haters" claim. Like a season finale of The Apprentice, the drama is heating to a boil, and the country is left to wonder: Who will be fired next?
