It isn't exactly a secret that a lot of college students are sexually active - and along with that, comes the responsiblity to protect you and your partner from STI's and pregnancy. It sounds simple enough, but contraceptives and condoms can also be difficult to get ahold of. However, one UC Davis student's idea might change that for good.

Refinery29 reports that UC Davis students returned from spring break to find that the school had installed a vending machine that stocks Plan B, condoms, pregnancy tests, feminine products, lube and over-the-counter medications. It's aptly named the Wellness-To-Go machine, and the idea actually came from a UC Davis student.

Senior Parteek Singh apparently got the idea for the machine after his friend had difficulty finding emergency contraception on campus, and he's been working for two years to make it a reality. While the school's campus health center stocks emergency contraception, it is only open until 5 p.m. on weekdays, and the machine allows for anonymity, which might make some students more comfortable.

"I think these are just basic resources that students need on campuses,” Singh told the Sacramento Bee. “Most college students are sexually active … and these resources should be provided to them.”

While the machine is currently only on UC Davis's campus at the moment, Singh has also said that he's spoken to other universities about getting Wellness-To-Go machines of their own - because seriously, how did someone not think of this before?
