Seeing a child accomplishing their dreams is truly remarkable and inspiring, but it's even more heartwarming when that child has overcome serious illnesses in order to do so. This is the case for six-year-old Cailee Herrell, who has been dealing with a rare genetic disease that could eventually lead to full blindness since the age of two. In order to help Cailee fulfill her "sightseeing bucket list," kids' clothing brand FabKids has enlisted her to chase her dreams of becoming an unstoppable fashion designer.
Her partnership with FabKids has allowed her to experience every step of the fashion designing and producing process, including dreaming up the designs and picking the color selections. Her line of 3 t-shirts reflects her bubbly and optimistic personality, and showcases confidence-boosting phrases like, "Girls are tough," and, "Brave." They're basically the little reminders every little girl needs to hear! All of the net proceeds from her t-shirt sales go directly to support Cailee's Sightseeing Bucketlist, which will help her mom take her on adventures to build her memory bank with colorful, exciting experiences before she loses any more of her vision. In addition to the t-shirt sales, Cailee's GoFundMe page has already raised over $13,000, which has allowed Cailee visit San Francisco, Seaworld, Disneyland, the Sand Dunes and the beach.
Even with everything Cailee has had to deal with in her young life, she already has so many accomplishments under her belt. I can't wait to see which adventures Cailee goes on next!
