Oh no, indeed, because our favorite supermodel has chopped off all of her platinum locks. Cara Delevingne has joined Kristen Stewart, Katy Perry and Zoë Kravitz as the latest celebrity to cut off her hair and opt for a shorter look.
Cara posted "Oh no!" on her Instagram along with a picture of her cut hair.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any released images of Cara with her cropped hair yet–is it a bob? Is she totally bald? Is it a pixie cut? It was only yesterday that Teen Vogue was reporting that Cara had dyed a few strands pink in what they called "holographic hair," which now seems to be lying on the floor of some upscale salon.
So why the multiple changes? In March, Cara toldUSA Today that she decided to dye her hair randomly to try something new because, for her next part, she has to cut it all off. "I have to shave my head for my next part, so I have to do something different," she told USA Today. "So I dyed it. Just for fun. Just to change it up." Well it seems the day has come, and Cara has chopped it off to play a "dying young woman" in the film Life in a Year, co-staring Jaden Smith. Similarly, actress Shailene Woodley actually cut her hair–and cried while doing it–in order to play Hazel, who has cancer, in The Fault in Our Stars.
Though Cara's makeover was for a role, there has been a series of hair trends with female celebrities opting for shorter hair, including Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson with their pixie cuts. Now Katy Perry is even rocking "the Draco Malfoy."
We're all waiting to see how Cara pulls off her new look for such a sensitive role.
