One dress is redefining prom and formal goals right now. A mermaid gown from a Miami designer literally changes colors from gold to white and visa versa, because the sequins are gold on one side and white on the other.
Not only does it have a ruffled golden train that straight-up belongs in a French palace or the Beauty and the Beast set, but it also has a shimmering sequin bodice with a sexy keyhole halter top.
Imagine being out on the dance floor or snapping couple photos and deciding to change the color of your dress just by rubbing the sequins back and forth. It's so stunning and elegant and I simply need it for my next sorority formal. I wore a stunning champagne sequin Badgley Mischka dress to my high school prom, but switching between two colors of sequins (or a combo for a sort of snakeskin look) is way cool.
And honestly the best part about this is that the designer's sister demonstrated the dress and will wear it to her prom this year. Adonis West of A'Dore Couture Gowns Inc. let his 17-year-old sister Shirdkiya show off the gown, which is serious big brother goals.
"I was just thinking about a girl who wanted to walk in one way but come out another way," West told Seventeen. "So the reversible sequins were perfect."
Unfortunately West isn't selling the dress, and if he were, it would set you back about $800. For now I can just ogle these gorg photos, I guess.
