Snoop Dogg's New Music Video Has Made Donald Trump Very Unhappy

Snoop Dogg isn’t being subtle about his opinion of Donald Trump in his latest music video, CNN reports. The video for “Lavender” (Nightfall Remix) ft. Kaytranada is causing quite the controversy—it features a clown called “Ronald Klump,” and it doesn't get much more obvious than that.

At one point, Klump is depicted at a “Clown House” press conference, with the news crawl reading “Ronald Klump wants to deport all doggs.” Later on, Snoop Dogg fires a fake pistol at Trump.

Sen. Marco Rubio, known for liking hip hop, told TMZ that this wasn’t Snoop’s best move. "We've had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is something people should be really careful about,” Rubio says.

Snoop told Billboard that his thought process of writing the song was to "mak(e) a song that was not controversial but real—real to the voice of the people who don’t have a voice.” He went on to say, "I feel like it’s a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody’s dealing with the real issue with this fucking clown as president, and the shit that we dealing with out here, so I wanted to take time out to push pause on a party record and make one of these records for the time being."

Well Snoop, you got your point across.

Trump, predictably, wasn't pleased. He tweeted, "Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!"

That may or may not be true, but Trump's anger about this video is definitely greater than his anger about most issues facing our country, as many people pointed out.
