New celeb couple Selena Gomez and The Weeknd stirred up some years-old drama this week when both musicians released new songs that allegedly target Justin Bieber.
Yesterday, The Weeknd might have addressed the Biebs in his new single, with lyrics like, "I just took that chick, and I know you feelin' some way." Now Selena is also reportedly taking to her music to air her final grievances concerning her ex.
In her just-released song with Kygo, "It Ain't Me," which she co-wrote, the singer is pretty explicit about which past lover she's crooning about, since the song includes lyrics referencing someone she met when she was 17. (Ahem, Justin.) And there's the fact that, "Somewhere along the lines / We stopped seeing eye to eye." I'd say that would be around 2015, when the first Jelena breakup happened.
The song echoes one of Selena's last public comments about Justin, when she admitted in a Feb. 2016 interview that she was "so done" with him. In case he still doesn't get it, "It Ain't Me" should do the trick.
Regardless of whether these songs have anything to do with Bieber, it looks like the Jelena ship has officially sailed, folks.
