If you haven't noticed (or have been living under a rock), mermaids have been a huge thing lately. There's tutorials for mermaid hair, mermaid makeup, and even mermaid fins for sale that you can actually wear in the water. I never really understood how this whole thing got started, but it's awesome. The latest development in #mermaidlife: Katy Perry's second COVERGIRL collab, the new Pearl Collection!
This limited edition collection will include four eyeliners, four lipsticks, and two highlighter-shadows, all in beautiful, shimmering colors inspired by sea creatures.
In an exclusive statement to POPSUGAR, Katy said that she was inspired by spring's upcoming mermaid vibes and pearlescent hues. "There are new fun and cheerful colors ranging from peachy Apricat to a Bluetiful lip, shimmery highlighters in rose and gold, and a pop of Whispurr white or Purmaid green to line your eyes," Katy said. "You'll make Ariel jealous, and look better than a shimmering Easter basket when you're done." Some of the colors sound a bit out-there, but making Ariel jealous sounds like life goals to me, so I'm 100 percent in.
All of the products will be available online at covergirl.com in early March and will hit in stores in April, when we won't have to be under the sea to feel like one of Ariel's glam sisters.
