If you're a fan of Gilmore Girls, This Is Us or even just Milo Ventimiglia in general, you know that the facial hair he's been sporting for much of his adult life and professional career post-Gilmore Girls has been something of a trademark.
According to a series of footage posted to Twitter by Ken Olin, executive producer of This Is Us, Ventimiglia's character Jack will be sans facial hair as the first season nears its end.

Following the posts from Olin, fans have been speculating the meaning behind Jack's newly clean-shaven appearance. While some have suggested that perhaps the lack of 'stache marks a mid-life crisis for the father of three, most have concluded—after revealing Twitter pics from the actor himself—that the change means the show will be traveling back further than ever before, giving viewers insight into Jack's youth.

Since Milo captioned one pic "Jack way back when," it seems like fans can count on this flashback theory to hold true. Only ~time~ will tell, though.
