When she is not being nominated for countless awards or filming a new movie, actress Jessica Chastain advocates for women’s rights and other important issues. Last night, Chastain tweeted about her disappointment in the United States government's lack of concern for protecting women’s reproductive rights.
#BirthControl is no longer covered by health insurance. Congrats USA, you're doing your part to keep women out of the work force. #smfh

Well, Matt Garza of the MLB Milwaukee Brewers team seemed to take offense to Chastain’s tweet and decided to add his opinion to the mix.
It's called abstinence, a word that has been forgotten amongst this generation... it's the best contraceptive... #juatsayinghttps://t.co/OgKg1qQmln

Chastain took the high road and ignored Garza's tweet. Rather than engage in a Twitter feud with him, she further explained her stance to all her followers.
If you are not ready to provide for a family, if you want to finish school, if you want to build a career, protect yourself. #IUD@PPact

While Garza's response alone was bizarre, it's even more out of line for a man to think he has to lecture a woman about birth control and reproductive rights. Keep speaking up for women, Jessica! We respect you and believe in your message.
