Unless you live under an extremely large rock that is based in Antarctica, you probably know that Donald Trump was named TIME Person of the Year 2016. Within the cover story revealing their pick, TIME writes that ever year, they pick someone "who had the greatest influence, for better or worse, on the events of the year" and this year, it is the President-elect. TIME also states that, "for those who believe this is all for the better, Trump’s victory represents a long-overdue rebuke to an entrenched and arrogant governing class; for those who see it as for the worse, the destruction extends to cherished norms of civility and discourse, a politics poisoned by vile streams of racism, sexism, nativism" and through people's responses to this news, we can safely say that people definitely are one side or another.
Zero chance the slew of 1940s aesthetic references in this shot are unintentional: Kodachrome palette, backdrop/shadow, Louis XVI chair pic.twitter.com/4WwUprLwpZ

DEAR @TIME: Hillary broke a barrier that stood for 227 years. Trump bullied his way to the presidency. Any questions?#personoftheyear

How #TimeMagazine spent 2016 portraying @realDonaldTrump
It must have killed them to give him the honor of Person Of The Year! #FakeMSMpic.twitter.com/oEsdBqLIkk— #NeverRomney (@chrgdup1973) December 7, 2016
I don't want to argue with Time Magazine, but I feel like calling Donald Trump a "person" is a bit of a stretch.
