Do you know what synaesthesia is? I didn’t either, until I heard of MAC Cosmetics' new Shadescent perfumes. Synesthesia is when the stimulation from one sense produces an involuntary experience in another sense, and it is what can lead people to "see sounds" or, in this case, "smell color." See, mom and dad? I can now prove that my makeup addiction has taught me something.
Just in time for the holidays, the MAC is releasing a line of six perfumes called Shadescents, which are based off of their best-selling lipsticks: Ruby Woo, Crème d’Nude, Candy Yum Yum, My Heroine, and Lady Danger. Essentially, you will soon be able to smell like your go-to lip color.
Ruby Woo, the classic red shade, boasts notes of "deep red leather," while the pinkish nude Velvet Teddy incorporates "wild honey and creamy musk.” We cannot wait to get our hands on these two (or the rest of the collection). The perfumes drop on maccosmetics.com November 30, so get excited!
