Kim Kardashian's Former Bodyguard Thinks Her Robbery Was an Inside Job

Just when you thought the Kim Kardashian robbery couldn’t get any crazier... Former bodyguard, Steve Stanulis, says he believes it was an inside job.

Interviewed this morning on Good Morning Britain, Stanulis condemned Kardashian for flaunting her wealth and her security team for leaving her unguarded and vulnerable. (Way to victim-blame.) Not only that, Stanulis also said that based on what has been reported, he thinks the robbery was done with the help of someone within the Kardashian’s inner circle.

“As the facts keep coming out and the more stuff unwinds, 100 per cent it's an inside job,” he claims.

Stanulis is no stranger to high-profile clients; he's been on the payroll of stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. As recently as this May, Stanulis was fired by Kanye West supposedly for allegedly flirting with his wife.

According to the former bodyguard, West was quite a handful as a client. Stanulis slammed Yeezy for being incredibly high-maintenance in aPage Six interview.

“I was amazed by the amount of bizarre behavior I saw in just two weeks,” said Stanulis. “It is his world and everyone just exists within it. I don’t know how Kim [Kardashian] stays married to him.”

In order to avoid future robberies, Stanulis advises that Kim stop posting her high-end luxury goodies on social media and that her whole entourage takes their security more seriously.

“'If you have a multi-million dollar ring and you're sporting it on Snapchat, how much does it cost to get an off-duty or retired police officer, who is trained and you could have prevented this from happening,” he said. “For $300 a day they could have a fully trained former police officer with them. That is peanuts to people with their kind of wealth.”

He's not the only one who thinks the robbery is Kim's fault—even Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld felt that Kim shouldn't have been "surprised" about the attack.

"You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you," he said to reporters after the Chanel show in Paris. "If you're that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room. I think it's a very bad thing for Paris, but I don't understand why she was in a hotel with no security."

Of course, while taking security measures and other precautions against such an event is important, it seems that this message of blame is one Kim has taken to heart. A source told People, "Kim’s in shock and blaming herself. She’s tearing herself up that she Snapchatted the ring so much and wore it all the time. This incident is making her question everything. How she dresses, what she does."

Stanulis is hesitant to directly blame current Kardashian bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, for the lapse in security. At the time of the robbery, Duvier was with Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner instead of Kim.

“He was probably told that's what he had to do, I don't think that was his choice. Knowing them, you don't tell Kim or Kanye what you think you should do,” he said.

While he may not be blaming their current security personnel, Stanulis didn't hold back when blaming Kim for flaunting her jewelry and wealth in general. With her 48 million Twitter followers, 84 million Instagram  ollowers and God-knows-how-many Snapchat friends, it’s safe to say that millions of people are aware of what she owns and what city she is in.

It was only a matter of time until someone took advantage of Kim’s accessibility and wealth, the former NYPD cop said, explaining, “I saw this happening. It just had to with the way Kim flaunts her riches and her diamonds.”

So while her fans may love seeing her jewelry, furs and countless other spoils, her former security guard urges both Kim and Kanye to take their security more seriously.

“Those guys had guns man. They could have killed her or hurt her bad. Thank God she didn’t get injured or anything. She can replace the jewels, but this should never happened. There should have been an armed guard with her at all times and outside her door.”

Be careful out there, Kimye!
