Plane rides can be tortuous enough for people who dread air travel, but one of the worst parts is knowing that you literally can't escape the annoying kid kicking the back of your seat, or the baby that won't stop crying. For Sophia Bush, her recent is experience on a plane is far worse, because she was constantly harassed by a creepy AF man. Rather than suffer in silence, Sophia took to Twitter to put said creep on blast. Though Sophia wrote a lengthy post about her personal experience with harassment, it's relatable to other women who are forced to deal with creeps on a daily basis.
Sophia began her clapback by addressing the bothersome (and that's putting it lightly) man as a "Random dude on a plane." From there, she proceeded to reveal all the awful ways the guy harassed her while on a plane ride.
"When you make a woman so visibly uncomfortable, that after you’ve ignored all visual cues to please leave her alone (one word answers, she pulls out a book, puts on a hat, she actually asks you not to speak to her with the tone and words you’re choosing to use) that she finally GETS UP and MOVES SEATS, leave her alone,” she said. Something must be wrong with this creep if he couldn't take those simple hints.
One would think that the harassment would end after Sophia changed seats, but no. The man continued to make her uncomfortable.
"Stop turning around and looking at her," Sophia said. "Stop leaning out of your seat and towards her body when she has to grab something out of the overhead bin above her original seat, and sadly also above you, mid-flight."
Even though people argue that Sophia should be pleasant to all the fans who follow her career no matter how they behave, she thinks otherwise.
"And in my case, stop believing that you are entitled to make me uncomfortable because you 'watch my TV show' so I owe you some magical debt," she said. "I make it, you watch it. After that, the 'exchange' is done. You do not get to harass me, or any woman, because you think you pay our bills. You don't bro, I DO."
Sophia closed the letter with a phrase that summed up the entire scenario, signing it, "Every Woman On The Planet Who Is Sick of Your Creepy Shit."
