If you were excited to see the classy and sassy Chloë Grace Moretz (of "Kick-Ass" and "Hugo" fame) in her highly-anticipated "Little Mermaid"remake, you might have wait a bit... or a lot.

The young actress spoke to the Hollywood Reporter at the Deauville American Film Festival last week, where she revealed that she's made the decision to drop out of all her current film projects for a reason we can probably all relate to: some much-needed me time.

“I pulled the plug on all my movies because I want to reassess who I am and find myself within my roles again,” she said. “I’m realizing that I can slow down.”

Moretz is long overdue for a vacation: the 19-year-old television and film star has been in the business almost all her life, amassing a whopping 58 acting credits, according to IMDB. She just recently wrapped up production on two films coming out later this year: "Brain on Fire," a psychological drama and "November Criminal," a thriller, but will be withdrawing from all of her other acting obligations and will instead channel her creative efforts on producing and television.

She's also going to have a pretty busy schedule campaigning for presidential nominee and personal friend Hillary Clinton (that's right, she's 'with her'!) in preparation for the fast-approaching November election.

Being career-driven is never a bad thing, but equally as important is being able to recognize when you need to take some time off, too. We're glad Moretz is taking care of herself—and this should be a lesson to us all!
