Every Bachelorette fan knows the drill when it comes to the rose ceremony. That includes host Chris Harrison’s polite remarks to eliminated contestants: “Gentlemen, I’m sorry. If you did not receive a rose, take a moment. Say your goodbyes.”
While viewers have grown used to the short and sweet send-off, Harrison decided it was time to mix it up and be brutally honest. Jimmy Kimmel gave Harrison just the opportunity to throw some punches at the guys who didn’t make the cut this season.
While the show would probably be more entertaining like this, it’s not the nicest way to send ~mostly~ decent guys home. But if he sent Chad off with a not-so-friendly farewell, we would have understood.
