When we first heard about America's Next Top Model return to television, we were overjoyed—because if you're anything like us, the show was absolutely vital to your upbringing. But ANTM as we know it just might never be. The catch to this reboot: Tyra Banks won't be hosting the show. Now, the new cast has been announced, and we are seriously missing Tyra—but actually pretty excited for what's to come.
Unfortunately, none of the original team—J. Alexander and the likes—will be returning. The new show will introduce Rita Ora as the host, accompanied by an all-fresh panel of judges, including model Ashley Graham, stylist Law Roach and Paper creative chief officer Drew Elliott. The upcoming season, which airs on VH1, will also take on a modern spin with a pop culture focus, with contestants competing in pop culture-oriented challenges each week.
"The approach I wanted to have as a host and judge to the girls is what my career stands for at this moment in time," Rita told USA Today, "which is being a businesswoman and being able to do multiple things at the same time, whether it's music or shooting [magazine covers] and being in movies and designing clothes."
While Tyra Banks is certainly irreplaceable, we’re looking forward to what this new reboot will have in store. On the bright side, she will be making her own appearances throughout the season, so we don’t have to say goodbye to her just yet. It hasn’t been officially announced when the show will premiere, but Ora has teased that it is still in production on social media.
