I'm Getting This Ranch Keg For My House & You Can't Stop Me

$

Nothing else matters anymore because you can buy a giant-ass thing of ranch dressing in keg form. Everyone else go home. We're calling it.

Hidden Valley Ranch developed a five-liter Mini Ranch Keg — which you can pre-order for $50 — presumably to break the Internet while simultaneously mending our poor, shattered hearts. While the price tag seems  pretty steep for five liters of ranch, the pure joy of having that much ranch (and the promised "year supply of Hidden Valley Ranch" included) in one adorable, if-nauseating package may be worth it. Especially come holiday party season.

If the keg wasn't enough to stop your heart and clog your arteries with visions of casual afternoon ranch keg-stands, hold on to your butts and raise your pinkies— because there's also a luxurious Hidden Valley Ranch Fountain available for the classier among us.

While I ain't made of money (it's $110 for the fountain and festive holiday skirt combo) and probably would be too concerned about my cats taking a swim in the ranch fountain to thoroughly enjoy it, I do admire the ambition and energy shown by Hidden Valley. Who says capitalism is all evil?

But, realistically, aside from having the joy of making this ranch keg the centerpiece of my apartment (and, to be completely transparent, my whole world), I would very much like to crack open one of these bad boys and fill a bathtub with it and just hang out.

However, according to their website, the demand for the ranch keg has been so explosively high (duh) that "any orders for this item placed after November 8, 5pm PST will not ship until after December 20, 2017."

So, ranch keg, I am coming for you. OMW.

Prepare Yourself–Rihanna Will Officially Be Hosting the 2018 Met Gala

Rihanna has pretty much owned every single Met Gala that she's attended. She has always been praised for her stunning dresses and her editorial-like red carpet pictures, including the 2015 look of a yellow Guo Pei dress for the “China Through the Looking Glass” theme, in addition to this year when she wore a Comme des x Garçons gown that resembled a flower for the “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between” theme.

If she's looked this amazing just attending the Gala, we can only imagine how groundbreaking she will look hosting the event. With Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace hosting by her side, it seems fitting that the 2018 Gala theme will be “Heavenly Bodies.” The three women are not only famously iconic for their revolutionary styles, but also for their humanitarian efforts and dedication to helping others.

Being the Queen of the Met Gala, we can imagine Rih totally adorned in the most intricate robes, looking more angelic than ever for 2018. Mark your calendars, the event will take place on April 30, 2018 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and we can’t wait for the endless art inspo coming our way.

Missguided Will No Longer Edit Models' Stretch Marks & FINALLY

Bikinis are difficult in all aspects: wearing them, shopping for them, having to try them on. If you’re like me, and want to avoid standing in a dressing room with 15 bikinis after eating mall Cinnabon all day, then online shopping is the perfect way to go––except that online shopping has its own issues as well. None of the models in online shops have bodies that look like yours or mine, and when it comes to buying bikinis, you you want to have a general idea of what it's going to look like on in real life. This is pretty difficult to do when the models have been photoshopped to beyond perfection.

Now, Missguided is the latest in a line of clothing companies who have stopped photoshopping their models. The recent change, most evident with their bikini models, included opting to leave things that were previously considered "imperfections" in the photos. The models now can be seen sporting moles and stretch marks, which are all natural parts of all human bodies that had previously been considered “taboo” to show.

Personally, I would rather buy a bikini online after seeing what it looks like on a real person, rather than someone that is digitally enhanced. If models had continued to be digitally enhanced to the point that it is physically impossible to look like them, it wouldn't be doing the company any favors. Real women will ultimately be the ones wearing the clothing, so they need to know what it will look like on another real person before purchasing.

According to Cosmpolitan, they have spoken openly about the changes, with the head of brand, Samantha Helligso saying, "As a brand, we feel we have a strong sense of social responsibility to support young women and inspire confidence. So we’re on a mission to do just that by showing our audience it’s okay to be yourself, embrace your 'flaws,' celebrate individuality, and not strive for what the world perceives as perfection. Because basically, it doesn’t exist."

She continues, "By showing imagery that’s real and authentic, we want to show it’s more than okay to be yourself. All you have is what you’ve got, so own it every day."

Honestly, lets just take second to appreciate the sincerity of her message. Her words show the quick and dramatic shift of an industry that previously strived to display the unattainable to one that wants to represent and show off real women––with or without anything that society has been conditioned to see as a "flaw."

Its undeniable that their customers are happy with the much-needed change, and many took to social media to express how happy they were to see the lack of image altering.

Buying a bikini should be a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The only thing that you should have to be worried about is your next credit card statement––not why you don’t look like any of the models in ads.

Taylor Swift has transformed from country sweetheart to pop princess over the past few years, but that didn't stop her from snagging an award for Song of the Year at Wednesday night's 51st Country Music Association Awards. The singer won her first CMA since 2013 for writing Little Big Town's "Better Man,"Us Weekly reports, and the win came as a total shock. Taylor posted a video of herself watching the award show from Saturday Night Live rehearsals, showing how absolutely awestruck she was when her song was announced the winner.

Nominated for the same category were Miranda Lambert's "Tin Man," Jon Pardi's "Dirt on My Boots," Sam Hunt's summer jam "Body Like a Back Road," and Keith Urban's "Blue Ain't Your Color." With such an impressive lineup of hit songs, it's no wonder Taylor fell speechless over the win.

Although she couldn't accept the award in person, Little Big Town gave the songwriter a sweet shout-out. "Taylor, wherever you are, thank you for this beautiful song and for loving songs and loving Nashville,” Karen Fairchild said.

A CMA on Wednesday and a new album dropping Friday? It's a big week for Taylor and her Swifties.

Lauren Conrad's Reason for Cutting Her Hair Short Is All of Us

When I think of the “lob” I think of Lauren Conrad. The reality TV star, mom and style icon has been known for constantly changing up her look, while always staying true to her classic style. However, no hairstyle has been quite as iconic as her “lob,” or long-bob, that's always expertly ombré-d and slightly wavy. Trust me — I dare you to find a piece about the lob that doesn’t mention LC.

While the lob may be simultaneously associated with Conrad’s name right now, it has actually been three years since the style queen has rocked this signature 'do––until now. Over the weekend, she returned back to her natural roots by visiting hairstylist Kristin Ess and cutting off a few inches.

In a dramatic move, the new mother took to her Instagram story over the weekend to document the whole process.  Cutting straight from the ponytail, in slow motion, Lauren shed serious length from her hair in a moment that would make most of our hearts drop.

When People interviewed her about the new look, she explained, "I have to blow dry my hair while my son is napping and it doesn’t always last that long so less hair is less time. I don’t have time for a lot of hair.” Same girl, same.

Take advice from someone who has made a career out of being stylish: some things are much more important than hair. LC proves that you can look chic without spending a long time styling. For fun, to celebrate Conrad’s new hair, here are some of her best lob looks:

1. Going Even Shorter

While this might be quickly approaching “bob” territory, this short cut looks super easy to manage. This photo was taken all the way back in 2014 (can’t you tell by the filter?)

2. Mommy-to-be Style

LC looks perfect in her maternity photo shoot with these old-Hollywood curls.

3. Short & Curly

Everyone knows that when you curl your hair it becomes shorter! Take your lob to a full bob with the simple magic of your curling wand.

'Stranger Things' Actor Finn Wolfhard Speaks Out About Fans Harassing His Castmates

As the child actors of Stranger Things rise to stardom because of their addictive series and incredible acting skills, the young stars are receiving unwanted attention as well. Some fans are getting so out of hand that 14-year-old Finn Wolfhard (aka Mike) has taken it upon himself to speak out.

As Teen Vogue reports, Finn recently received backlash from a video of him refusing to give an adult fan an autograph. The video sparked a discussion about the public's treatment of the actors, accusing some fans of invading their privacy and harassing the stars. Not only that, but it seems that fans are guilty of sexualizing the new celebs, the youngest of the cast aged between 13 and 16 years old.

While fellow celebs like Sophie Turner are standing up for the cast, Finn took to Twitter on Wednesday to defend himself and his friends.

The actor wrote, "Hey everybody! I don't wanna ex-communicate anyone from this fandom, but if you are for real you will not harass my friends, or co-workers. Ya'll know who you are." He continued in a second tweet, "Why I even have to tweet that, I don't know. Anyone who calls themselves a 'fan' and actively goes after someone for literally acting and doing their job is ridiculous."

Fans flooded his responses with words of support, with one calling the young star "wise beyond his years," and another pointing out the unfortunate truth: "it's sad that we live in a world where a minor has to act like an adult because adults are harassing minors."

People are clearly crossing the line if teenage Finn had to step in and say something. As Sophie said, they may be famous actors, but they're children first. Regardless of age, the Stranger Things stars deserve the utmost respect, just like the public should give any other celebrity.

A Woman Said Alabama Senate Candidate Roy Moore Sexually Assaulted Her When She Was 14

A woman has come forward accusing Roy Moore, who is currently running for U.S. Senate in Alabama, of attempting to have sex with her when she was only 14, The Washington Post reports.

It seems like the news is flooded with devastating stories of men and women being sexually assaulted or harassed by men who abused their power, with the latest coming for the Trump administration-endorsed Senate candidate looking to take Attorney General Jeff Sessions' former seat.

Leigh Corfman recounted her own experience with Moore when she was only a child, according to the Washington Post. When Moore was an assistant district attorney, he had offered to look after Corfman while he mother attended a custody hearing. However, Corfman said that he wasn't just babysitting her.

After, Corfman claims that Moore drove her approximately 30 minutes to his isolated house in the woods and kissed her — again, when she was only 14 and he was 32. During a second incident with Moore,  she said he groped her over her bra and underwear.

As if this encounter wasn’t disturbing enough, she said that Moore also placed her hand over his own underwear. Corfman was able to ask him to take her home before Moore could instigate anymore lewd conduct. Regardless, it’s clear that Corfman never forgot this incident with Moore (because survivors rarely ever get the luxury to forget) from her childhood.

Corfman explains to The Washington Post that she remembers thinking, “Please just get this over with. What this is, just get it over.”

(Which is obviously heartbreaking to realize that she was already expecting much worse than the sexual acts she claims Moore did commit.)

But Corfman isn’t the only person to share her story with The Post. Three other anonymous women have also come forward to reveal similar stories. WFTV9 ABC reports that these other women were between the ages of 16 and 18 when they said Moore attempted to assault them.

This isn’t the first controversy that Moore has faced. Earlier this year, Moore claimed that the United States "asked for shootings" because the country doesn’t “acknowledge God enough.”

However, that still isn’t the most offensive statement to leave Moore’s lips. He also previously, as CNN reports, told the press in 2003 that “homosexual conduct should be illegal.” This makes his accused crime even more disturbing, seeing as, unlike sexual orientation, pedophilia is actually a crime.

Following the reports, several Republican politicians who had previously endorsed Moore gave statements that he should step down and drop out of the race "if [the allegations are] true."

Sen. John McCain, of Arizona, however, said in a statement that the allegations were "deeply disturbing and disqualifying,” adding that Mooore “should immediately step aside and allow the people of Alabama to elect a candidate they can be proud of.”

The Washington Post adds that Moore denied these claims, saying that “These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign.”

RIP To Paddles, The Thumb-Having, Sass-Talking First Cat of New Zealand Was Taken Too Soon

Brace yourselves, Internet: Paddles, the social media star and "First Cat of New Zealand", recently died after being hit by a car.

Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand's new Prime Minister, had adopted Paddles (a Hemingway Cat, meaning she had adorable kitty thumbs) from the New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, BBC reports.

Paddles described herself as “sassy and high-maintenance”, and her funny Tweets were a ray of sunshine.

Ms. Ardern's partner, Clarke Gayford, shared a humorous anecdote about Paddles, explaining how the loud and proud cat almost derailed Ms. Ardern’s phone call with US President Donald Trump: She came flying through the cat-flap [and] began announcing her very squawky arrival”.

Bless.

People from across the world have gone to Twitter to express and share their sorrows.

Whether you’re a cat lover or not, this truly is a tragic moment. Rest in peace, Paddles. #PrripForever.

This Black Lives Matter Activist Featured In An Iconic Photo Is Now Officially On His City Council

Braxton Winston, a Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist who was the star of a viral, anti-police brutality photo, was voted into the Charlotte, NC City Council on Tuesday.

“We’re excited. We feel like we ran the campaign that we set out to do," Winston told WBTV. "We were very intentional about it from day one. We wanted to go to every part of Charlotte with a clear and consistent message of a more accessible, equitable and interconnected city.”

Clearly, Charlotte is also excited for Winston’s win, seeing as he got the second-highest number of votes during the city council elections.

Winston initially gained support from the Charlotte community because of his activism following the Keith Lamont Scott shooting. The Charlotte Observer reports that Winston’s push for justice following this shooting went viral because the publication “followed a tip.”

It’s very fortunate that the Charlotte Observer snapped the viral photo of Winston, shirtless with his fist clenched and raised, because now Winston is able to incorporate the BLM’s actions into the City of Charlotte.

“It’s all good to bring ‘new,’ but we have to create a continuum between the past, the present and to the future to know has worked and what hasn’t and build on it,” Winston told WBTV.

It’s outstanding to see that Winston is able to expand upon his activism in the BLM movement to gain a City Council seat. Now, Winston can bring about positive change that the Charlotte community deserves.

Ashley Bennett's NJ Win Was Even Sweeter Since She Beat A Guy Who Made Sexist Comments About The Women's March

The past few days have been pretty great for progressives, especially after this past Tuesday's election saw marginalized politicians handily beat opponents who leveraged bias and hate. But one story's slipped under the radar as Ashley Bennett unseated John Carman off the board of Atlantic County Board of Chosen Freeholders in New Jersey.

To understand this win, let’s take the story back in time first. In January, freeholder John Carman of the Atlantic County Board of Chosen Freeholders, a county legislative body in New Jersey, shared a Facebook meme that mocked the Women's March: "Will the women's protest end in time for them to cook dinner?"

According to the Philly Inquirer, dozens of women responded to Carman’s misogynistic remarks by confronting him at the next meeting. Carman responded by brushing off the meme as a joke, saying that people “need to lighten up,” as Bustle reports. Among the women who didn’t find his response humorous was Ashley Bennett, a 32-year old psychiatric emergency screener.

In response, she walked out out of the meeting and reportedly said "Instead of apologizing and saying you could do better, you disrespect people."

And she didn’t only walk out. She walked and marched forward and decided to run for Carman's seat on the board. What’s the best way to take revenge? Prove them wrong. That’s exactly what Ashley Bennett did and, as we mentioned, she took Carman's seat.

“People want change,” Bennett said. “I am beyond speechless and incredibly grateful to serve my community. I never imaged I would run for office.”

We’re glad that she did. It’s so important that women feel empowered to make a change in their societies, whether it’s through running for office or supporting those who do. Turn your anger into action. Our communities deserve leaders and officials who respect them.

Jasmine Will Be a 'Multidimensional Woman' in the Live-Action 'Aladdin' Movie

Disney announced the cast for their live-action remake of Aladdin this summer, and it turns out Princess Jasmine will be pretty different from the animated version of the character. Naomi Scott, who will be playing the princess, described the new Jasmine as "a multidimensional woman."

When it came to deciding how the classic characters would be portrayed in the film, Scott said Disney built Jasmine from the ground up. "Everyone involved in this project weren’t afraid to really just rip things down and start again, especially the Princess Jasmine character, because it’s so important to get that right," Scott told The Hollywood Reporter. The first change viewers will notice is that Jasmine is more of a leader. "You really get in this adaptation of the movie that her heart is for her people, and her main objective is what’s best for her kingdom,” she said. “And you really get a sense that she has those leadership qualities within her.” How exciting!

While Jasmine is the only female character in the animated movie, that won't be the case in the live-action film. Instead of her tiger Rajah being her sidekick, a handmaiden named Dalia will be Jasmine's best friend. This will show a different side of the princess. "The Dalia character is so important to this movie because she’s the only other female character," Scott said. "She may be the handmaiden but they’re best friends; they’re so close because they’ve grown up together. So we wanted people to watch the movie and see Jasmine’s relationship with another woman, and be like, ‘Ah, that’s what I’m like with my girlfriend,’ or ‘We would so do that if I was in that position.’ That’s something that’s missing from the animation.” I'm honestly so excited to see this dynamic.

Jasmine will be more than just the princess who doesn't want to marry any of her father's choices for her, too. Scott said it's nice to see Disney trying to make this princess into a "real human being," like they have been with their other live-action princesses. "Being a female character is also about being a real person, and guess what? [She] can be strong and have fun, but also get it wrong and be emotional. She’s a multidimensional woman, and she doesn’t have to just be one thing. So in this movie, you see her go on such a roller coaster, as opposed to her one goal being to fall in love or get married.” Yes, girl. Princesses can be more than just girls waiting around for princes.

I'm so excited to see how Jasmine's character develops. I think it'll be fun to see her let loose a little more than she did in the animated film. I hope they can capture all her different sides while staying true to the storyline. Unfortunately, we'll be waiting until May 24, 2019 to find out.

Louis C.K. Has Been Accused of Sexual Misconduct by 5 Women

There have been rumors floating around for years about comedian Louis C.K. masturbating in front of associates, according to The New York TimesNow, five of his victims have come forward to tell the Times their disturbing stories firsthand in an effort to bring them to light after over a decade of silence.

With allegations of sexual misconduct arising about Harvey WeinsteinEd Westwick and Kevin Spacey, many have been wondering who would be next—but fans probably weren't expecting Louis C.K., as he is often considered a feminist who has helped the careers of female comedians. Sadly, all of his accusers are comediennes.

Comedy duo Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov said they were invited to hang out in C.K.'s hotel room after performing at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in 2002. “He proceeded to take all of his clothes off, and get completely naked, and started masturbating," Goodman told the Times.

Rebecca Corry, a comedian and writer who was working on a TV pilot with C.K. in 2005, had a similar story. "He asked if we could go to my dressing room so he could masturbate in front of me,” she said. Courteney Cox was an executive producer of the show and confirmed the incident.

“I felt very ashamed,” comedy writer Abby Schachner told the Times, describing how C.K. masturbated while on the phone with her in 2003.

Goodman and Wolov were shamed and isolated from the Hollywood community when they started telling others about their encounter with C.K. Schachner claimed she received a personal apology from C.K. in 2009, but her career was scarred by the incident forever. Corry said she received an apology as well, but C.K. said, “I used to misread people back then,” according to her, implying that she might've done something to trigger the incident. C.K.'s recollection of these events and his approach to apologizing are additional causes for concern.

Tig Notaro, who once produced the Amazon series One Mississippi with C.K, said in an email to the Times, “Sadly, I’ve come to learn that Louis C.K.’s victims are not only real, but many are actual friends of mine within the comedy community.”

The premiere of C.K.'s latest movie, I Love You, Daddy, and an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert were canceled ahead of the New York Times article's release. C.K. has yet to comment, though.

6 Food Staples All College Women Need to Keep On Hand

$

Grocery shopping and meal prep is one of those adult things that hits you like a ton of bricks once you start college. With Postmates and fast food, it’s easy to just avoid the whole process, but it’s better for your health and your wallet to learn how to make use of your kitchen. Figuring out some staple foods to keep in your fridge and pantry at all times helps you get into a routine and ensures that you always have something to eat in a pinch. It’s not like we’re Chopped contestants or anything, so keeping it simple is a-okay. If you’re totally clueless on where to even begin, here are some recommendations to get you on your way.

1. Eggs

This sounds kind of obvious, but it’s also the kind of thing a college student who feels like she has zero time to make breakfast might overlook. However, eggs are super versatile and pretty hard to screw up. “I knew I would never go hungry as long as I had eggs in my fridge,” Kristin Perrone, a senior at Siena College says.

You can boil a huge batch to keep on hand for the week, or make customizable dishes for some egg-citing meals. Yes, I said that. Plus, breakfast for dinner? Honestly killer.

“Unless you're one of those people that can't eat breakfast foods during the day, you can get so versatile with eggs, from scrambling them for breakfast or putting them on your sandwich for lunch,” Krsitin says. “When I studied abroad, I got in the habit of making huge omelets with veggies for dinner, which I haven't really done since, but they're so filling!” Fun fact: you can also scramble eggs in the microwave. If that isn’t a gourmet college meal, I don’t know what is.

2. Fruits

Some fruits can be on the pricey side, but for the most part they are pretty dang cheap. Keeping apples, bananas, grapes or whatever suits you around your kitchen makes it easier to choose that as a snack instead of opting for processed chips or crackers. It can also be a better way to satisfy a sweet tooth.

“We get fruits and veggies from the farmers market which is so cheap!” Hannah Hershe, a sophomore from the University of Michigan says. “I only spend about $45 on groceries each month.” Sounds good to us!

You can also pre-chop fruit like watermelon, or create a massive fruit salad to keep in your fridge and eat throughout the week. Or just grab an apple on your way out to class for a snack when you get hungry.

“My favorites are clementines and any other dried fruits that aren't coated in sugar.” Emily Schmidt, a sophomore at Stanford, says.

3. Grains (Pasta, Rice, Quinoa)

Who doesn’t love pasta? It’s honestly a godsend for college students because it’s cheap, easy, filling andtasty. Pluys, choosing whole-grain noodles will give you sustainable energy for your busy college life. If you’re not as enthusiastic about pasta, no worries. There are other grains that are also affordable. “My roommates and I are vegan, which sounds really expensive but it's so cheap,” Hannah says. “We eat a lot of rice, oatmeal, and pasta, and we buy all of those in bulk.”  Keeping a jar of pasta sauce or pesto in your pantry and you’ll always have a quick meal to rely on.

Rice is also cheap and customizable. With rice, canned beans and salsa make a fantastic little burrito bowl. Chipotle who? With some creativity, and a minor amount of flavor profile knowledge, you can make some bomb dishes with rice. Quinoa might be the trendy option of the group, but it still isn’t exorbitantly priced and has more health benefits, like protein and fiber. “Quinoa is life,” Erica Galluscio, a junior at CUNY Hunter says. She speaks the truth.

4. Nuts and nut butters

Another great thing to put into oats, on a sandwich, an English muffin, fruit or whatever. Peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter—whatever suits you. See all of the options? Sometimes you just gotta dip the spoon right in there too—no shame.

You can also skip the butter and go straight to the source. “Almonds and other nuts are a great snack to have on hand since they can actually keep you full,” Mary Hilliard, University of Notre Dame ’20 says. If you portion them out in a bag, you can also make sure you don’t eat too many. Add some unsweetened dry fruit and you just made your own little trail mix.

Related: 12 Recipes for When You're Hungry But Lazy

5. Vegetables

Fresh or frozen, vegetables are also a healthy (duh), affordable thing to keep stocked up on. When veggies are just sitting there, staring at you from your fridge, you are probably much more likely to eat them. "I always keep some green pepper in the fridge because it can go with so many things! You can put it in salad, eggs, a sandwich, eat it by itself! You can incorporate it into every meal and the flavor is bomb,” Marisa Pieper, a sophomore at ASU said. For dinner type meals you typically have to prepare them, but hey, that's what being an adult is all about, right?

6. Oats

More grains, but hey, a girl’s gotta eat. With the whole overnight oats trend, oats could be your new BFF in the mornings. Again, something that you can make with whatever you have available: fruits, nuts, honey, milk, etc. Just put your favorite ingredients in and your milk of choice, let it soak overnight, and it’ll be soft and ready to eat in the morning. Even if you just want to make more traditional oats, it doesn't take that long either.

Obviously, everyone has different tastes, but once you establish a standard fridge and pantry your life will become so much easier…or at least your culinary life will, no guarantees about anything else.

'Riverdale' Promised a Darker Season 2, & That's Exactly What We're Getting

Prior to the premiere of Season 2, Riverdalecast members were fairly tight-lipped and vague about what to expect this season. To prevent spoilers from slipping, each time they were questioned during an interview, they shared that this season would be much darker than the first. Since the Season 2 premiere, viewers have seen small moments that indicated darker storylines—but this week's episode was the darkest thus far.

In Season 1, we got a taste of Dark Betty when she traded her signature blonde ponytail for a short, black wig and teamed up with Veronica to rightfully punish Chuck Clayton after he mistreated some girls at school. In this week's episode, we saw how much darker Betty can become under pressure from The Black Hood, who is under the impression that the two of them can cleanse Riverdale of its sinners.

In order to prevent deaths, Betty agreed to The Black Hood’s demands—in exchange for an answer to one of her questions after each task. This included publishing a piece in the school newspaper exposing her mother, Alice Cooper, for being arrested as a teenager, and cutting off her Veronica (who The Black Hood said is not as innocent as Betty thinks). Because of The Black Hood, Betty accused Veronica of being a shallow, party girl who only hangs out with her Riverdale crew out of circumstance. And as if that scene wasn't heartbreaking enough, Betty broke up with Jughead to prevent him from becoming The Black Hood's next victim. No one has been attacked since Betty started answering The Black Hood's phone calls, but who knows how much longer Betty can possibly keep doing this before the darkness takes over.

Even Jughead is succumbing to the darkness that's taking over Riverdale. Since his father, FP Jones, got put in jail, Jughead has been struggling to maintain relations on the Northside and the Southside. After this week, it’s safe to say that Jughead is a full-fledged Serpent. To prove his loyalty, he was forced to take care of Hot Dog, confront a rattlesnake, and get repeatedly beat up by the other Serpents. Jughead has been trying to prevent an all-out war between the two sides, but his official status as a Serpent (plus the new tattoo on his arm and kiss with Toni Topaz) suggest that he's not longer a mediator between the North and the South.

Darkness manifested itself this week in the form of a new character as well: Nick St. Clair. Nick, who was close with Veronica during her time in New York, clearly had bad intentions from the moment he appeared. He invited Veronica and her friends to his hotel room for a party, then pressured them into taking jingle jangle. Following the party, Nick harassed Veronica, who had already said she wasn't interested. And even though Veronica slapped Nick in the face to make her message clear, it wasn't clear enough because he then decided to pursue Cheryl. While at the Lodge's open house, Nick drugged Cheryl's champagne and took her to his room. Thankfully, Veronica and the Pussycats stepped in before Nick could sexually assault Cheryl, and the final scene of the episode indicated that Nick won't be getting away with his monstrous actions.

With Nick pegged as the Black Hood's next target (via Betty's suggestion), one can only assume how much darker Season 2 will get as it progresses.

Trump's Former Bodyguard Testified That He Turned Down a Russian Offer to Send Women to Trump

A former bodyguard and personal aide of President Trump has privately testified that he rejected a Russian offer to send five women to Trump's room during a 2013 visit to Moscow, CNN reports. According to multiple Republican and Democratic sources, Keith Schiller revealed that the offer came about when Trump and his team were in Russia for the Miss Universe pageant.

Schiller originally served as director of Oval Office operations when the Trump administration began, but left his position in September. He addressed the 2013 visit after members of the House intelligence committee inquired about allegations in the dossier exploring Trump's relationship with Russia. Several sources reported that the offer to send Trump prostitutes came from a Russian with pop star Emin Agalarov, whose father is close with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Schiller reportedly didn't take the offer seriously, and when he later told Trump about it, the then-businessman laughed off the story. However, the committee was inclined to think otherwise because of a Daily Caller article suggesting an "alternative story" of Schiller's rejection of the Russian offer. The Daily Caller story includes differing facts such as Trump's offer coming from Agalarov himself.

The rise of differing, incriminating reports of Schiller's testimony inspired his attorney to speak out. In a statement, Stuart Sears said, "We are appalled by the leaks that are coming from partisan insiders from the House Intelligence Committee. It is outrageous that the very committee that is conducting an investigation into leaks—purportedly in the public interest—is itself leaking information and defaming cooperative witnesses like Mr. Schiller."

Trump has denied the dossier's claims since it was publicly revealed in January.

The Creator of 'Parks & Recreation' Just Apologized for Louis C.K.'s Appearances on the Show

After five women accused Louis C.K. of sexual misconduct, Parks and Recreation creator Mike Schur has apologized for featuring the comedian on his hit NBC comedy six times throughout its seven seasons, HelloGiggles says.

C.K. first appeared on Parks and Recreation as police officer Dave, who Amy Poehler's Leslie briefly dated in Season 1. The character returned for one episode in Season 4, but by then, Leslie and Ben were pretty solid together, as that amazing partnership should be.

Schur, who also created Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Good Place, shared the news about C.K on Twitter alongside his apology.

"Misogyny is a cancer," Schur wrote. "Harassment and abuse are that cancer metastasizing and going untreated. Stories like this being reported and printed are the first steps toward a cure."

In a second tweet addressing his connection to C.K., Schur, who also wrote for The Office, said, "I don't remember when I heard the rumors about him. But I'm sure it was before the last time he was on Parks and Rec. And that sucks. And I'm sorry."

Fans replying to the message applauded Schur for his candidness, but many reminded him to use this experience to ensure that harmful people are not tied to his current projects.

Although it doesn't make up for not speaking in the moment, it's still commendable for Schur to own up to being at least a little aware of C.K.'s behavior.

Twitter Has Halted Its Verification System After Verifying a White Supremacist's Account

After controversially verifying a well-known white supremacist's account earlier this week, Twitter announced on Thursday that it is halting its general verification program, The New York Times reports.

White supremacist Jason Kessler has previously used Twittter to organize the Charlottesville white supremacy rally and garner support for his movement. When the social media site verified his account, other Twitter users interpreted the move as a negative political act. Comedian Michael Ian Black, known for his role in Wet Hot American Summer, specifically called out Twitter for seemingly encouraging Kessler's hateful actions and beliefs.

"Verifying white supremacists reinforces the increasing belief that your site is a platform for hate speech," Black said, addressing Twitter's chief executive Jack Dorsey. "Who do you value more, users like me or him?"

The upset over the verification, which is like the Holy Grail of internet fame, follows President Donald Trump's Twitter account briefly disappearing last week. It was later discovered that a Twitter employee deactivated the president's account, suggesting that if there's any political message Twitter is trying to make, it's that there's definitely different opinions among those at the company.

"Verification was meant to authenticate identity and voice but it is interpreted as an endorsement or importance," Twitter wrote on Thursday. "We recognize that we have created this confusion and need to resolve it."

Dorsey also responded to the change, writing, "We realized some time ago the system is broken and needs to be reconsidered. And we failed by not doing anything about it."

There's no word about when the verification system will return, but it's clear from this backlash that Twitter has to reevaluate its policies.

15 Signs No One Should Ever Ask You for Dating Advice

You like to think your dating skills are pretty great or at least okay. But when you really think about it, maybe it's best that your friends don't listen to your dating advice.

1. Overall, you pretty much have no idea how to date or ask someone out.

How do you differentiate between hanging out and *wink*wink* hanging out?

2. Your idea of flirting is insulting someone to the point that they think you can't stand them. When you try to be romantic, you almost always fail.

"Ugh, you're terrible" somehow means "You're so great—let's hang out, like, all the time."

3. The last person you were interested in had absolutely no idea.

You insulted him regularly and responded to his messages within 24 hours—how did he not know how much you liked him?

4. You try to send the first message on Tinder sometimes, but the only opening line you can think of is some snarky comment about how boring the match's bio is.

You try to be original by not saying “hey,” but you don’t want to come on too strong. So instead of flirting like normal, you’re like, “Wow, you love to travel?! Never heard that one before!”

5. Dating lingo is beyond your comprehension. It's like everyone got a free copy of Modern Dating 101 except you.

Your friend asks you if you and a guy are "talking," and you're like, "Um, yeah, we talk all the time?"

6. You've been reading "10 Signs Your Crush Likes You" articles since age 12 and still can't identify the signs.

Eye contact? Compliments? How are any of these things different from normal daily interactions? The “does he like me” quizzes failed you all throughout middle school and high school (and okay, maybe now sometimes, too), and you feel no shame.

7. Your 14-year-old sister has been in more relationships than you have.

You can still give good advice even if you don't have a ton of experience but…

8. You don't know how to make small talk, so your first dates are more like interrogations.

Small talk is boring. When your date gives you boring answers, you just know the two of you could never date. Why even continue the date at this point?

9. If you don't have anything obvious in common with the person you're on a date with, it becomes real awkward, real fast, and you don't know how to continue the conversation.

How do people sit in a room with someone they don't know much about and find something to talk about? How?! And don't even try to start a game of 20 questions, buddy.

10. You're a strong advocate for being upfront about your feelings, but you've never really done such a thing.

You giving advice: “Yeah, girl, just tell him that you like him.” You in real life talking to your crush: “Wow, you are such a great friend, bro."

11. You try to play it so cool that you seem aloof or uninterested most of the time.

You don’t want to be too obvious so when you see someone you’re interested in, instead of saying “hi” like a normal human being would, you book it in the opposite direction and avoid them.

12. You're super skeptical when it comes to dating and love.

This can be a good thing to an extent, but your negative attitude isn't always the most encouraging.

13. You can’t pick up signals. Ever. Someone could directly say “Hey, I’m really into you” and you’d probably think they were joking.

It’s not that you’re not confident, but why did this guy just say he likes spending time with you? What does it all mean? HE NEEDS TO SPELL IT OUT AND GIVE YOU ANSWERS. YOU DON’T PICK UP SIGNALS.

14. You have to try your hardest not to look bored when people tell you about their love lives.

It's not that you don't care about your friends or their relationships, because you do. But sometimes, you're just bored by the whole "dating" thing. Your friends should know by now not to come to you for advice anyway.

15. You’re secretly happy when your friends decide not to take your dating advice because based on personal experience, you feel like it probably wouldn’t go so well for them.

But then again, if they had taken your bad advice, maybe you wouldn't be in this situation. Oh well. At the end of the day, you're happy for your friends, and you're happy to help them when they want advice. You're just not sure how helpful you'll be.
