DeMario Jackson Claims Corinne Olympios Was the 'Aggressor' in Their 'Bachelor in Paradise' Encounter

Following the Warner Bros. announcement that an internal investigation found no evidence of sexual misconduct on Bachelor in Paradise, DeMario Jackson is telling his side of the story—and he's not holding back, claiming that Corinne was the "aggressor" in their sexual encounter.

While Corinne has called herself the "victim" of the alleged misconduct, DeMario tells a different version of events. According to him, the two first met at the bar, where bonding over being labeled as their seasons' villains quickly turned hot and heavy. “I was like, ‘Hell yeah!’ You know, I’m down for it. I’m not gonna…I don’t think any single man—some married ones—wouldn’t turn down Corinne. She’s a beautiful woman!” DeMario said in an E! News interview.

DeMario claimed that as their encounter grew more intense, Corinne suggested they move to the pool, where "she gets up out of the pool and puts her lady parts like right on my face."

"Things got wild because it was more of like her being like the aggressor," he explained, "which was like sexy because you have like a very attractive girl who’s like telling you like what she wants, it’s like a very like, ‘Wow, okay. This is hot. I like it.'” He also denied allegations that Corinne was too drunk to give consent, insisting she was not slurring her words or stumbling. In fact, he said there was no bad blood between them at all before the investigation started. He told E! News that the next morning, "I gave her a hug. We all went and got breakfast together."

However, since Corinne's legal team is launching their own investigation, it seems this case is far from closed. Though neither Corinne nor DeMario is returning to Mexico for filming, this he said, she said situation might mean more trouble in paradise is still to come.

Lee & Kenny’s Conflict on 'The Bachelorette' Isn’t Entertaining, It's Just Racism

0
0

When Rachel Lindsay was named the first black bachelorette, we knew that race would come into play on the show—and perhaps not in a good way, given the franchise’s record on sensitive issues. Those suspicions were confirmed from Rachel’s first meeting with a few of her contestants, when Dean told her, “I’m ready to go black, and I’m never gonna go back.” Rachel claimed to love that line. But since the season started, the producers have worked hard to obliterate any hope we had of a fun viewing experience this season.

They’ve concocted a whole storyline around Lee, a vocal racist on social media, and Kenny, a black wrestler who’s just trying to find love for the right reasons. Lee has repeatedly baited Kenny, interrupting his time with Rachel multiple times (a cardinal Bach sin, if you don’t watch the show) and acting like his intentions were totally pure.

Kenny’s justifiably angry response to Lee’s bullshit, which isn’t even close to the worst emotional outburst that’s ever happened on this show, was described on Monday as “aggressive” and “violent” in Lee’s one-on-one time with Rachel. When another contestant, Will, tried to explain to Lee the racist assumptions that underpin calling a black man “aggressive,” Lee didn’t learn a thing, saying he thought Kenny was playing “the race card.” Editing made Rachel appear to be more annoyed with the drama than tuned into any racial tensions. Then, Kenny and Lee were called for the show’s dreaded two-on-one date—a battle to the death (of the relationship) from which only one contestant can return.

This isn’t a nuanced or interesting look race relations in the U.S. This is forcing a black person to put up with racism in order to create drama and entertainment for viewers. And it’s not entertaining.

Bachelor franchise dad Chris Harrison claims the show didn’t know about Lee’s racist tweets when they cast him. Given the length of the casting process for these shows, I’m inclined to think that’s false. If it’s true, it shows this show has very little disregard for their first black bachelorette. In not doing due diligence to make sure outspoken racists stayed off Rachel’s season, they’ve revealed that they’re more interested in using her as a new opportunity for drama than truly breaking new ground in a respectful, responsible way.

Black men have enough people deciding that they’re aggressive and inherently violent just because of their skin color. There’s no humane reason to force them to fight the same old lethal stereotype in the heavily orchestrated fantasy world of the Bachelor franchise. It’s not fun to watch piercing dog whistles for four-plus hours, even if we’re supposed to learn a lesson from it, when we know how many times these assumptions have killed people in the real world.

Tonight, we’ll see how this particular arc ends. I have a sinking feeling that both men may be sent home, in which case Kenny will have spent weeks earnestly trying to win Rachel’s heart, only to be felled by a garden variety racist who the producers thought could add some spice to the show. It’s unfortunate that we’ve come to expect this behavior, and it’s making it hard to justify watching the show. Tonight, some fans will tweet #RosesNotRacism at Chris Harrison to show that they’re not okay the way Rachel’s been treated. Hopefully, someone on the Bachelorette team is listening.

Sophie Turner's Hair on 'Game of Thrones' Actually Reveals a Huge Secret About Sansa

0

If you're a fan of the hit HBO show Game of Thrones, then you're already familiar with the intense battle scenes, politics, lies and alliances that make this show so popular. But have you been paying attention to something else that's hidden in the folds? More specifically, hidden in the braids?

Actress Sophie Turner has revealed that not only does her character Sansa Stark get to participate in some crazy scenes, but her ever-changing hairstyles actually have some meaning behind them! You might have assumed that her hairstyle was just a meaningless part of her costume, but that's definitely not the case. Stark tells Refinery29 that her looks are never random, but always have a pattern.

In fact, her 'do is typically a reflection upon who she is learning from in the show. “When she’s Cersei’s prisoner, and she’s kind of absorbing all her manipulative techniques, it’s reflected in her hairstyle, and when she’s finding the spirit of Margaery in herself, she wears her hair like Margaery,” Sophie says. The look that stands out the most for her, however, is when Sansa's hair is black and pulled back into the very tight, taut French braids you might recognize from season five, because it was entirely Sansa's creation and not a result from anyone else's influence. Nothing says independent AF like some tight French braids!

If you haven't seen Sophie IRL, you might be a little surprised she's actually a natural blonde, and not the coppery redhead she is on TV. She achieves this stand-out look by dying her hair twice a week with a semi-permanent dye. Yes, you read that right, twice a week! Since the vibrant color tends to fade fast, she has to keep up with regular beauty treatments in order to maintain her hair's health with all of the excessive dying. She says she likes to use Wella's Oil Reflections Luminous Reboost Masks to keep her braids in tip-top shape to keep fighting on the battlefield!

Watching Game of Thrones will never be the same now that we' know the secret of Sansa's hair. I can't wait to see what look she'll have during the season premiere on July 16!

USA Gymnastics Is Being Investigated For Failure to Prevent & Report Sexual Abuse

0

USA Gymnastics, the organization that selects gymnasts for Olympic teams, is under fire for outdated—and even nonexistent—sexual abuse reporting policies after allegations that a team doctor assaulted a number of girls over the years, NBC reports.

On Tuesday, Deborah Daniels, a former federal prosecutor who was hired by USA Gymnastics to investigate the organization’s practices, released a 100-page report that calls for a major change in how the organization handles allegations of abuse and educates its staff and athletes about sexual assault, according to NBC.

"Over time, the practices of USA Gymnastics have not kept up with best practices in the field of child abuse protection, allowing for significant gaps and exposures regarding the prevention and reporting of child sexual abuse within the sport," Daniels wrote in the report.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Daniels was asked to investigate USA Gymnastics last fall after accusations that the organization failed to address a number of child abuse allegations, including the case of longtime team doctor Larry Nassar, who reportedly molested dozens of female athletes.

In the report, Daniels sheds light on a number of issues, including the fact that the organization currently does not have a written protocol for how to handle allegations of abuse. It also states that gymnastics clubs that belong to the USA Gymanstics network—as well as its athletes and members—have not been required to report sexual misconduct or other abuse to police or the USA Gymanstics governing body. That's a problem, because if people aren't explicitly required to report sexual abuse, they'll often stay silent, putting children in danger.

“In recent years, a number of troubling reports have surfaced of young women allegedly abused by persons affiliated with USA Gymnastics as members or contractors over a lengthy period of time, including allegations that USA Gymnastics was not sufficiently responsive in disciplining offenders and terminating their access to young gymnasts," Daniels says in the report. "While individual USA Gymnastics staff members have perceived themselves as having been vigilant in protecting children, within the boundaries they perceived as limiting their authority to control others’ behavior, it has become clear that more is needed."

When we think of USA Gymnastics, images of our favorite Olympic gymnasts and routines come to mind—but this report brings to light the all-too-real prevalence of sexual abuse and unreported assaults, calling for a much-needed cultural change that goes beyond the gym.

Shonda Rhimes Wrote About How People Treated Her After Her Weight Loss, & It's So Important

0
0

Weight loss is about your health, not about your appearance or your value as a person, and Shonda Rhimes, mega producer of TV favorites like Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy, penned an insightful essay for readers of her Shondaland newsletter that expands upon this crucial point.

In the piece, Rhimes describes how men and women alike treated her differently after she lost nearly 150 pounds. While people gave her compliments and “gushed” about her new body, she didn’t find their comments flattering, but rather a little unsettling. After all, she was the exact same person, just thinner.

“Women I barely knew gushed. And I mean GUSHED. Like I was holding-a-new-baby-gushed,” Rhimes writes. “Only there was no new baby. It was just me. In a dress. With makeup on and my hair all did, yes. But…still the same me. In one of my same dresses (cause why am I gonna buy a NEW dress when I can take this to a seamstress and she can just make it smaller? Who am I, The Crown? No, I’m from the Midwest, baby, and I come with coupons). Women gushed anyway.”

Rhimes also notes the different attention she received from men, and again, it was disconcerting. “And men? They spoke to me," she continues. "THEY SPOKE TO ME. Like stood still and had long conversations with me about things. It was disconcerting. But even more disconcerting was that all these people suddenly felt completely comfortable talking to me about my body. Telling me I looked ‘pretty’ or that they were ‘proud of me’ or that ‘wow, you are so hot now’ or ‘you look amazing!'”

Overall, Rhimes says she realized through her weight loss experience the intrinsic bias people have when it comes to body shape and size. “After I lost weight, I discovered that people found me valuable," she writes. "Worthy of conversation. A person one could look at. A person one could compliment. A person one could admire.”

That’s right—she says she felt like her value was directly related to a number on a scale. She could be the same talented, inspirational female leader and businesswoman, but suddenly, because she was thinner, she was somehow a better version of herself, more worthy of respect. “I discovered that NOW people saw me as a PERSON,” Rhimes writes. “What the hell did they see me as before? How invisible was I to them then? How hard did they work to avoid me? What words did they use to describe me? What value did they put on my presence at a party, a lunch, a discussion? When I was fat, I wasn’t a PERSON to these people. Like I had been an Invisible Woman who suddenly materialized in front of them. Poof! There I am. Thin and ready for a chat.”

Rhimes says it best: “Being thinner doesn’t make you a different person. It just makes you thinner.” Say it louder for the people in the back because we all need to check ourselves.

Voting on the GOP Health Care Bill Has Been Delayed Due to Lack of Support

0
0

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) of Kentucky has announced that he is delaying the vote on the new GOP health care bill until after the July 4 Congressional recess because there are not enough votes to move it forward, reports ABC.

Senate Republicans released the bill last Thursday as a response to President Donald Trump's backlash against a similar health care bill proposed by the House of Representatives—but the Senate's bill has faced opposition from both Democrats and Republicans and has not yet garnered enough support to pass.

As of right now, key GOP players have voiced their disapproval of the legislation. Ted Cruz (R) of Texas, Rand Paul (R) of Kentucky, Ron Johnson (R) of Wisconsin and Mike Lee (R) of Utah released a joint statement, saying: "There are provisions in this draft that represent an improvement to our current health care system but it does not appear this draft as written will accomplish the most important promise that we made to Americans: to repeal Obamacare and lower their health care costs."

According to The New York Times, Ohio Governor and former 2016 presidential candidate John Kasich (R) has also condemned the bill.

“Who will lose coverage? The mentally ill, the drug addicted, the chronically ill," Kasich said at a news conference Tuesday. "I believe these are people that need to have coverage.”

An analysis conducted by the Congressional Budget Office shows that the Senate health care bill may cause as many as 22 million people to lose coverage by 2026 and that 49 million people would be uninsured in the same year.

Senator Susan Collins (R) of Maryland has tweeted that she will vote against the bill in its current state.

According to TIME, the GOP will need 50 of the 52 senators to vote 'yes' in order to pass the health care bill, but as of now, it looks like it would struggle without the votes of six key Republican senators.

“We will not be on the bill this week, but we will still be working to get at least 50 people in a comfortable place,” says McConnell.

The Republicans are hoping to secure more votes before they vote on the bill. However, the delay does not ensure that more Republicans will agree on the bill.

This Woman Was Kicked Out of Her Apartment's Pool Because of Her One-Piece Swimsuit

0
0

During the several years we're in school, young women and girls are often held to strict dress codes to ensure our chosen attire is at a "suitable" length or fit—so as not to distract male peers or teachers. Apparently, the constant clothing policing doesn't stop once you graduate high school. In fact, for a woman in Tennessee, it can even happen in the comfort of your own apartment complex when you go to relax at the on-site pool.

Tori Jenkins and her fiancé Tyler Newman were recently kicked out of their apartment complex's public pool because Jenkins' one-piece swimsuit was deemed inappropriate by other residents, Self reports. The couple had only been in the pool area for a few minutes before they were publicly told to leave because her suit was "too revealing" for the teenage boys who might see her. Um, excuse me?

Her fiancé took to Facebook to share what had happened in a post that now has over 30,000 shares, clearly expressing his outrage over the situation. He wrote, "Today my fiancée was faced with either changing her bathing suit, covering up with shorts, or leaving the pool that we paid a $300 fee to maintain on top of a monthly rent of nearly $1000. Tori was accused of wearing a 'thong bathing suit' and told there were complaints about the way she was dressed after roughly 3 minutes of us arriving there."

After the initial request for Jenkins to leave the pool, she went to the leasing office to discuss the issue with one of the apartment complex's staff members, where she was then body-shamed and inappropriately sexualized by the woman she spoke to. The woman allegedly made shocking comments about Jenkins' body and swimsuit choice, including saying that a "normal bathing suit covers your entire butt," and that "her body, because it's built more curvy than others is 'too inappropriate' for children to be around," according to her fiancé's Facebook post.

Regardless of whether some of the residents questioned if their teenage sons would be "excited" by the sight of Jenkins' one-piece suit, she never should have been told to leave the pool that she literally pays for every single month with her apartment fees. As Jenkins wrote in her own Facebook post, "no man or woman has the right to make me feel uncomfortable in my own skin. No right to police me or any other human." The over-sexualization and judgments made against women and what they choose to wear is astonishing and, quite frankly, something that shouldn't even be an issue anymore in today's world.

"Today my fiancée was told that she is less important than how men feel around her," her fiancé continued to write. "That Tori is less important than a man's urges to be sexual towards her. I think she's the most beautiful woman in the world, but I also respect her. I would never make her or any other woman feel less than what she's worth because of her outfit or her looks. This is how rape culture continues to grow." Well said, Tyler. I only wish more people shared this mindset

Thirteen years after the release of A Cinderella Story (the iconic teen movie starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray), Austin Ames has reappeared. While attending an oncology prom at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County over the weekend, Chad opted to wear his character's Prince Charming costume rather than a tuxedo.

Chad's date for the dance was his wife, Sarah Roemer, who shared a pic on Instagram. In her caption, she wrote, “I waited for a prince and he took me to my 1st prom. @chadmurray15 #CHOC #prom #austinames.”

Murray also shared a video from the event, showing off the Alice in Wonderland-themed decorations, and thanked Warner Bros. for letting him borrow the green suit from the wardrobe department. “Had the amazing pleasure of attending the #CHOC Prom last night. This is one of 4 or 5 rooms they decorated. It was incredible. I Brought Austin Ames out of retirement, I mean Hey it's Prom! Met the best kids & got to dance with my Wife at her 1st Prom. Thanku @warnerbrosentertainment for letting me take the wardrobe out for a night. Big win- IT STILL FITS! #cinderellastory #AustinAmesLives #PrincetonGirl #Nomad #prom."

Thanks for proving to us that fairytales are real, Chad. Plus, why rent a tux when you can channel your inner Prince Charming?!

5 Power Outfits You Need for Your Summer Internship

0
0

How you dress for work not only expresses yourself, but also gives you the confidence to dominate in the work place. You know the feeling: that sense of power that comes from wearing a killer outfit. It can make you feel indestructible and ready to face any challenge. Well, when it comes to summer internships, a power outfit is exactly what you need to succeed. Here are some summer must haves to keep you looking and feeling flawless.

1. Classic power suit

The power suit has come a long way from shoulder pads and pleated pants. Choosing a sleek pant with a matching blazer looks composed and ready to tackle anything. Plus, the layered blazer allows you to go sleeveless in the heat outside and add an extra layer in the office. Try to stay away from dark colors and opt for a statement hue to keep it light. Pair with a neutral pump, or flats depending on how formal you want to look. This coral statement suit from Banana Republic ($168) is linen to keep it light and airy for the summer weather, plus you can even wear the pieces separately to make more outfits.

2. Statement dress

Dresses are key when it comes to summertime internships because they keep you looking professional but comfortable. Opt for something sleeveless and pair with a blazer. Dresses that hit you right above the knee will make your legs look longer and keep you looking in-season. This J.Crew gingham dress ($158) is professional and fun--perfect for summer internships.

3. Relaxed pant

Sometimes the thought of wearing tight pants in the summer is cringe-worthy. If you still want to wear pants, but don’t want to deal with the uncomfortable side effects, a relaxed pant is your perfect alternative. This super glam look is effortless and professional. Pair with a statement heel and you’ll fuel your inner girl boss. These wide-leg pants from MissGuided ($62) will give you major Victoria Beckham vibes.

4. Fun skirt

This is a great look to have in your wardrobe because it’s comfortable, casual and perfect for days when you feel like just throwing something on. A fun pattern serves as all the color you need. Pair it with a neutral top and shoe and you’ll be ready to head out the door. This skirt from Loft ($64.99) is bold and bright enough to keep you on your toes and feel ready for anything.

5. Simple neutral outfit

Sometimes you just aren’t feeling bright colors, and that’s where this outfit comes in. Choose a loose-fitting pant or long skirt in a dark navy and pair it with a white top to look composed and classy. Wear with a strappy shoe for some added chicness and you’ll be good to go. Having some staple neutrals in your closet is a must, and this sleek pant from Loft ($69.50) is a great place to start.

With these fabulous looks you’ll be killing it this summer. When you look your best you do your best, so use these outfits to dominate in the workplace.

Jennifer Lawrence Had Some *Thoughts* for the Reporter Who Tried to Pet Her Dog Without Asking

Jennifer Lawrence isn't afraid to speak up for herself when it comes to her privacy as a celebrity. She doesn't take pictures with fans and is one of a few celebs with basically no social media to speak of - so it's not a surprise that she had no problem putting an overly-aggressive TMZ reporter in his place.

According to Cosmopolitan, the actress was leaving the airport after her plane made an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York when reporters showed up to the scene, as usual. She ignored them at the first for the most part, but she was understandably not happy when one reporter from TMZ tried to pet her dog Pippi Lawrence Stocking without asking.

She swiftly responded by grabbing the pooch and telling the reporter, "Don't touch my dog you f*cking loser."

Of course, she'll probably be accused of being rude by clapping back - but every dog owner knows that petting someone's dog without asking is a huge no-no. Not to mention that she (and Pippi) have the right to their privacy. Lesson learned: keep your paws off J-Law's pup, thank you very much.

Victoria Swarovski's Wedding Dress Had 500,000 Crystals On It, Obviously

Ahh, weddings...Most of us dream about our special day, picking out every detail from our color scheme to dress shape before we even meet our future spouse. Well, the Swarovski gemstone heiress and singer, Victoria Swarovski, just put all of our fairytale wedding dreams to shame with her three-day wedding celebration and marriage to long-time boyfriend, Werner Mürz.

The jaw-dropping event took place in Italy this weekend, and was just as extravagent as we would expect from the Swarovski family. The wedding celebrations kicked off with a "pasta and love" welcome dinner, after which 250 people witnessed the couple exchange vows in a cathedral near Trieste, Italy. All of it was followed by a glam-filled reception at a five-star resort in Portopiccolo called Hotel Falisia, according to Daily Mail. The wedding weekend ended with a farewell brunch hosted the morning after the big night.

Despite her actual events being everything of our wedding dreams, her ceremony dress really stole the show. Being one of three dresses the stunning bride wore throughout the night, it featured 500,000 crystals and a six-meter long train. Wow! People reports the dress was a "custom couture wedding gown by Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco that featured all-over Swarovski crystals, paillettes and laser-cut flowers. It was a classic princess A-line style, featuring an opulent skirt and a sheer bodice covered in delicate appliqués along the neckline and sleeves.” Can I have the same thing for my wedding but without the $1 million pricetag?

The wedding (and the dresses) all were incredibly stunning, and the happy couple is now honeymooning in St. Tropez, France. I'll take the exact same wedding, please and thank you!

Fidget Spinner Lip Gloss Is Here & It's The Most Extra Thing of 2017

Lil Mama once said that her lip gloss was "poppin'" and that her lip gloss was "cool," but she never said anything about spinning.

If you thought 2017 couldn't get any more ridiculous, think again—because there's a new trend on the block, and it's too extra for words. The Glampsin combines the fidget spinner, the "stress relieving" toy that has recently taken the world by storm, with...wait for it—lip gloss. Yep, you read that right. If applying your favorite lip color with a normal applicator is too boring for you, you can, as the company website says, "gloss your lips while you fidget."

Three fruity favors!

A post shared by glamspin (@glamspinner) on

According to Teen Vogue, the lip gloss contraption is a collaboration between BuzzFeed Product Labs and Taste Beauty. The Glamspin, which features three dizzying flavors—peach whirl, strawberry cyclone and grape twist—requires just one easy payment of $9.99 and will begin shipping in mid-July.

Don't get us wrong, there's nothing wrong with a little gloss, but why is this necessary!?

Ben Kaufman, head of the Buzzfeed Product Lab, told Adweek that the company was "hesitant to build our own spinner without a unique angle that set our product apart from the rest."

Kaufman also told Adweek that BuzzFeed considers the main demographic for the Glampsin to be teens, “who we also know have a high engagement and conversion rate on our posts containing lip gloss trends and new beauty products."

As crazy as the Glamspin sounds and looks, it looks like fidget spinners of all sorts will continue to turn heads—and, at this point, we can only wonder what the future holds for fidget toy innovation.

Amazon is Launching Prime for Clothes & It's Going to Change the Way You Shop

We all know that online shopping is, well, kind of a hassle. After all, guessing your size and praying it'll fit as you add it to your cart is stressful AF, and will probably result in you buying a pair of jeans entirely too small. Let's not even mention the return process (ugh). If this sounds all too familiar to you, do not fear, for Amazon is here–with an awesome new program you'll love.

Get ready because Prime Wardrobe is going to change your life. The program will allow you to order anywhere from three to 15 clothing items at a time entirely free of charge–yes, you read that right! You'll now be able to physically try on clothes before committing to the purchase. If you decide to keep three to four of the items, the retailer will take 10 percent off, and if you keep five or more, you'll save up to 20 percent! Returning items you aren't happy with is even made easy with the inclusion of a preprinted shipping label in the same resealable box your order ships in.

The new program will only be available to those who have an Amazon Prime subscription. Unfortunately, the release date for the Prime Wardrobe program is not set.

According to The New York Times, "analysts expect that Amazon will become the largest apparel retailer in the United States, at a time when many traditional brick-and-mortar retailers are closing stores or filing for bankruptcy." The expansion of Amazon truly is quite incredible, especially since they have recently acquired Whole Foods for a whopping $13.4 billion. Looks like they're on a roll.

Nike's Newest Ad Stars Trans Voguer Leiomy Maldanado

Pride Month is in full swing, and Nike has decided to show their support by featuring transgender ballroom dancer, Leiomy Maldonado, in their newest #BeTrue campaign. This is only the second time a transgender athlete has starred in one of their ads, so basically this is a really huge move.

Nike is attempting to market itself as a more inclusive brand after they were heavily protested by over 60,000 petitioners for renewing their store's lease in the Trump Tower, and the new ad is definitely appreciated. Maldanado is a transgender woman of color with incredible athletic ability, and in the video you're able to see her insane dance skills and killer voguing. Narrated by Precious Angel Ramirez, the ad advocates for everyone to be true to who they are, which is an especially powerful message for the queer community.

Nike, you definitely did a good thing.

15 Disney Channel Actors You Used to Be Obsessed With & Where They Are Now

#TBT to Disney Channel’s golden years, when we couldn't stop watching Even Stevens and That’s So Raven (or listening to the latest Disneymania soundtrack, of course). It was an era of back-to-back original movies (Smart House, anyone?) and living vicariously through the cartoon version of Lizzie McGuire—not to mention way too many moments spent practicing our “I’m (insert your name here), and you’re watching Disney Channel!” voices in the mirror.

Have you ever felt so nostalgic that you’ve woken up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat wondering what happened to your favorite Disney Channel stars? (Okay, maybe that’s just me.) Here are 15 Disney actors that seemingly fell off the face of the earth—and where they are now.

1. Anneliese van der Pol

If I did carry one... You definitely know it would be this one!!! #RavensHome #ThatsSoRaven

A post shared by Anneliese van der Pol (@anneliesevanderpol) on

Best known for her role as Chelsea Daniels, Raven’s best friend on That’s So Raven, van der Pol moved on to play Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway in 2007 and now has plans to return to the small screen as Chelsea in—wait for it—the That’s So Raven sequel series.

2. Christy Carlson Romano

Sunday funday with my love @isabellavrooney

A post shared by Christy Carlson Romano (@thechristycarlsonromano) on

After playing Jennifer in Cadet Kelly and voicing the title character in Kim Possible, Romano attended Barnard College and also made her Broadway debut as Belle in Beauty and the Beast in 2004. Now, 32-year-old Romano is focusing on being a new mom to her first daughter, Isabella.

3. Jason Earles

This picture is very confusing in its message. We all secretly wanted to wear the wig. Lol. #10yearsofhannahmontana

A post shared by Jason Earles (@realdukeofearles) on

Hannah Montana star Jason Earles was 29 years old when he started playing Miley Stewart’s 16-year-old brother, Jackson. Earles is now 40 (yes, 40!) and recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Katie Drysen. Though he mostly stepped out of the spotlight after Hannah Montana, based on his Instagram it appears that he, too, has moments of nostalgia for his Disney Channel days.

4. Moisés Arias

Blu's Clue

A post shared by Moises Arias (@490tx) on

Remember Rico from Hannah Montana, the goofy manager of Rico’s Surf Shop who always had some antics up his sleeve in an attempt to win over Miley? After a few post-Disney Channel acting gigs, Arias moved on to pursue his passion for photography; he’s now a 23-year-old, self-proclaimed “iPhone Artista.” He’s also pretty tight with the Jenner sisters.

5. Raviv (Ricky) Ullman

Ullman played the titular Phil of the Future in this show about a time-traveling teen from 2121 (which, oddly enough, is somehow only four years from now). The actor's real name is Raviv Ullman, but he used the stage name "Ricky" until 2006, when Phil of the Future ended. After Disney Channel, he starred in a few small TV and Off-Broadway roles and hosted the Raviv Ullman Podcast, where he interviewed celebrities such as Penn Badgley and Zoë Kravitz. His role as Phil Diffy is still his main claim to TV fame, but based on his adorable smile, this 31-year-old looks happier (and more handsome) than ever.

6. Steven Anthony Lawrence

My derp face is reserved for only the few men of great stature #beans #evenstevens #stevenlawrence

A post shared by Dennis Wright (@asianprodigy_) on

Steven Anthony Lawrence is best known as Beans, Louis’s annoying, lovable, havoc-causing neighbor from Even Stevens. We all know what happened to Shia LaBeouf, who played Louis, but what has Beans been up to? In 2015, Steven Anthony Lawrence told The Huffington Post that after his Disney Channel career, he starred in the movies Kicking and Screaming and Rebound and taught classes at universities and high schools in California (including the University of Southern California and Berkeley, among others). Rumor has it that “Beans” has also been spotted working as a Santa’s helper at a mall in San Francisco.

7. Adam Lamberg

What about our beloved David Gordon, aka Lizzie McGuire’s bushy-haired, nerdy-and-adorable best guy friend, Gordo? It seems as though his roles in Lizzie McGuire and The Lizzie McGuire Movie were his acting career highlights. After Disney Channel, Lamberg earned his bachelor’s degree in geography from UC Berkeley and later studied at Baruch College for his Master of Public Administration degree. He now works as a Development Associate at the Irish Arts Center in New York City—and he's on LinkedIn. You go, Gordo.

8. Clayton Snyder

Motivated. Chill, but motivated.

A post shared by Clayton Snyder (@heyclaytron) on

Speaking of Lizzie McGuire, whatever happened to Lizzie’s crush, Ethan Craft? Actor Clayton Snyder, whose Instagram bio says, “One time I was Ethan Craft,” played water polo at Pepperdine University and even went pro, continuing his water polo career in Europe. One of his Insta captions says he is “chill, but motivated”—which, if you ask me, is a very Ethan Craft thing to say.

9. Hallie Todd

Happy Birthday to @sirjakethomas, my first fake son.

A post shared by Hallie Todd (@hallietodd) on

Todd, who played Lizzie McGuire’s mom, was basically the OG “cool mom.” CNN even listed her as one of the “Top Ten TV Moms.” She moved on to become a successful acting coach, and in 2013, she and her husband wrote and produced the thriller movie The Mooring. However, Todd embodies the idea that once you're a Lizzie McGuire cast member, you're always a Lizzie McGuire cast member; check out this picture she posted on Instagram in January, where she wishes a happy birthday to actor Jake Thomas, who played Lizzie’s little brother, Max!

10. Jake Thomas

And what ever happened to Lizzie's brother? Jake Thomas continued his acting career with occasional TV appearances on CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Now, he has a mustache and is an artsy LA-based photographer. They grow up so fast!

11. Phill Lewis

After checking out of TheSuite Life of Zack and Cody, everyone’s favorite hotel manager pursued a successful career as a director. Lewis directed a variety of Disney Channel shows, such as A.N.T. Farm, Austin & Ally and Jessie, as well as the sitcoms 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly and Melissa & Joey, among others. (This family man will always be Mr. Moseby to us, though.)

12. Brenda Song

Found this pic from a while back. One of my favorite shoots ever! @arisjerome KILLED this!

A post shared by Brenda Song (@brendasong) on

Let's not forget the one and only London Tipton, the wealthy, vivacious and glamorous heiress to the Tipton Hotel, where The Suite Life of Zack and Cody took place. Song has continued her acting career; she's appeared in The Social Network and many TV shows, including New GirlScandal, Pure Genius and Superstore, and she also spends her time modeling. London, you're killin' the game, girl!

13. A.J. Trauth

Heaven is this view (...and that beach behind him)

A post shared by Leah Pipes (@leahmariepipes10) on

Trauth, who played Louis’ best friend Twitty on Even Stevens, had a few notable post-Disney Channel acting gigs on shows such as House and CSI but has since laid low from the spotlight. He isn’t active on social media, but his wife, Leah Pipes, keeps the world updated on the grown-up version of Twitty with lots of adorable pics via Instagram.

14. Kyla Pratt

My Big Girl is growing up too fast #mybaby #myreason

A post shared by Kyla Pratt (@kylapratt) on

Pratt, also known as Penny from The Proud Family, also appeared in the Dr. Dolittle series, Fat Albert and the TV show Let's Stay Together. The Proud Family star now spends her time being a proud mother to two beautiful girls, 6-year-old Lyric and 3-year-old Liyah.

15. Frankie Ryan Manriquez

All I want for my birthday is a #1 no onions, with a large coke light ice! The Lord has truly blessed me

A post shared by Frankie Manriquez (@frm_lilman) on

Remember William, Corey's adorable friend and accomplice from That's So Raven? Frankie Ryan Manriquez didn't do much on the acting front after his Disney Channel career; he moved on to play baseball and study sociology and criminal justice at Northwestern College in Iowa. We feel the love, William!

It seems like just yesterday that these actors lit up our lives with good ol' Disney Channel lessons and laughs. Now that we know what some of our favorite childhood TV stars are up to nowadays, there's nothing left to do except treat ourselves to a DCOM marathon.

Women Marched on the US Capitol Dressed in Costumes from 'The Handmaid's Tale' to Protest the New Health Care Bill

If you've binge-watched Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale, yet, you know how eerily well it can hit home as a commentary on the way women's health and reproductive rights are threatened today - and you're not the only one who feels this way.

CNN reports that a group of around 30 women took to the US Capitol building on Tuesday to protest the Senate's new health care bill, which would cause 22 million Americans to lose insurance by 2026, defund Planned Parenthood and make maternity and reproductive health coverage unaffordable for thousands of women - and the protesters made a major statement by wearing the same red robes and white bonnets as the characters in The Handmaid's Tale.

"We deduced to dress in the 'Handmaids'-inspired costumes because the novel/television series presents a dystopia where women's bodies are not their own," Planned Parenthood volunteer Elena Lipsiea told CNN. "This narrative is all too real. We want our senators and administrators to know just how serious we take their legislation and our right to health care. The costumes make a visual statement and demonstrate how seriously we take this."

For the uninitiated, The Handmaid's Tale, which was originally a best-selling novel written by Margaret Atwood in 1985, follows the women living in the Republic of Gilead - a dystopia where women, a.k.a. Handmaids, are property and only used for reproduction. Unfortunately, it's also super relevant considering the fact that women's health care faces a very real threat right now.

Thankfully, the Senate has also announced that the vote has been postponed due to lack of support for the bill - but that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep speaking up and demanding that our legislators listen.

The Internet Just Can't Handle This Dog That Has Better Hair Than Basically All of Us

So, we've already established that dogs are basically perfect creatures. But we also never really thought we'd be stealing hair inspo from them - that is until we saw this pooch's *flawless* mane.

21-year-old Marshall College student and dog mom Kerbie Gibbs took to Twitter on Sunday to show off a super adorable shot of her 8-month-old puppy Ruger - and the best part? This dog has some seriously envy-worthy hair. She even tweeted a close-up shot for good measure, and TBH I never would have guessed in a million years that it came from a pup.

The Internet responded by retweeting her photos over 200,000 times - and apparently her tweet was also #relatable, because tons of Twitter users were professing to being jealous of their own dogs' luscious locks.

Maybe she's born with it, or maybe she's just a puppy with naturally Pinterest-worthy hair? Idk. Either way, I just have one question: is it socially acceptable to bring a picture of a dog to the salon? Asking for a friend, obvi.
