The Aca-Awesome 'Pitch Perfect 3' Trailer Was Just Released

When Pitch Perfect came along in 2012, a stellar combination of college life and a cappella that I never knew I needed became my new favorite flick. Now five years later, the trailer for the hit franchise’s latest film, Pitch Perfect 3, has been released, Hello Giggles reports.

The trailer opens with the Barden Bellas being relatable af in their post-grad struggle, which seems amplified thanks to the a cappella competition commentators following them around and waiting for them to fail. Miserable without a cappella and each other in their lives, the Bellas reunite to perform at a USO event in Europe.

Of course, what would be a Pitch Perfect film be without some conflict with another performing group? Because the USO event allows groups that play instruments, the Bellas find themselves at an unfamiliar disadvantage for their performances.

Pitch Perfect 3 opens in theaters on Dec. 22, 2017.

How to Nail Business Casual Beyond the Skirt Suit

Dressing for the office: It can be a major dilemma for collegiettes starting internships or jobs. Not only do you want to dress appropriately, but also you want to retain a bit of personal style. There are the safe go-tos—the gray skirt suit, a basic dress with a cardigan or blazer—but what if you’re not into the super feminine (and sometimes bland!) office ensemble? We talked to Dawna Reeves, senior associate director of the Johns Hopkins University Career Center, and Chelsea Robbins, a style consultant at Kilgore Trout, a boutique in Cleveland, Ohio, about how to get business casual right while maintaining your personal style!

1. Know your industry

Different industries can have wildly different interpretations of business casual, so do your research before your first day on the job. Finance and consulting are considered very conservative—your wardrobe might have to be in neutral colors. But if you’re in a creative industry like advertising, public relations or media, you have much more freedom to express your personal style. If you’re in the tech industry, you may even be able to wear jeans, Reeves says. So how’s a girl to know what’s appropriate? “It’s always okay to ask, ‘What’s the typical dress code?’” Reeves says. Once you have your answer, you can refine based on what you see others wear in the office.

2. Perception matters

How do you want to be perceived in a new workplace or during an interview? You don’t want to be just another college intern—dress for the job you want! According to Reeves, this means playing it safe, at least for a while. “You want to look in a way where [the company] would want to put you in front of their clients,” she says. Dressing conservatively is not a bad thing—and it definitely doesn’t mean a boring pantsuit. Even if you’re in head-to-toe gray, you can play around with different silhouettes and cuts, like a cropped pant or an asymmetrical hem. “It’s about credibility,” Reeves says. “College age students should dress a little more conservative in the beginning of a job or internship,” she says. Why? Once you get the lay of the land—feel out the office culture and see what others in the office are wearing—feel free to break out the statement necklace and red pumps.

3. Business casual basics

First things first: if you want to edge up a work outfit, there are still some rules to keep in mind. Unless you’re a high level editor at a fashion magazine, remember: You’re still at work, and basics can go a long way. That being said, most offices allow for a bit of leeway when it comes to personal style. “It’s about balance,” Reeves says. “Be creative with either the top or the bottom—but not both.” Translation? If you’re wearing something cool or flashy on top, you should pair it with a more neutral pant—think khaki, black, charcoal or navy. If you want to rock some plaid pants, stick with a plain, crisp shirt. Or if you want to go with loud accessories, keep your clothes neutral. But be warned: “You don’t want your outfit to be distracting,” Reeves says. You’ll know your outfit is distracting when the person you’re talking to keeps staring at your clothes and not your face. Read on for ways to add some style to business casual by industry—but because every office is different, there’s no hard-and-fast rule.

Finance and consulting

If you’re interning or working on Wall Street, chances are your office’s dress code is pretty strict. According to Reeves, this means neutral colors like black, khaki, navy and gray—with a look topped off by a blazer. Even if your color palette is limited, Robbins says you can likely play around a bit with different silhouettes. “The midi skirt is perfect for any office,” she says. “For a more conservative look, stick to a pencil style as opposed to a fuller skirt. The midi skirt can work for all body types; it’s all about having it tailored to hit you in just the right spot mid-calf.” Robbins recommends pairing this slightly-below-the-knee skirt with a tucked in blouse and pointed toe pumps. Try this black midi-skirt from Macy’s ($69).

“If your job requires a jacket, keep it short and cropped with this look—otherwise you risk looking seriously outdated,” she warns. Not into skirts? “Cropped pants are also a good choice,” she says.  “Just keep them narrow at the hem. A wider hem might be a little too forward in a conservative office.” Try these classic cropped pants from J.Crew ($89.50).

Government, education and health

Psyched for your internship on the Hill? Shadowing a doctor? “You can be a bit more casual [than finance, for instance],” Reeves says, “but still conservative.” Think pencil skirts, cardigans, cropped pants and shift dresses. Robbins recommends playing with color and texture. “Eyelet and lace are good choices, especially in light blue and red,” Robbins says. “As far as patterns go, florals will always be popular choices for spring and summer. But I love a bright plaid shirt any time of year. It's easy to wear to work (with a pencil skirt or trousers) and also perfect for weekends, loosely tucked into jeans.” Try something like this plaid button-down from Madewell ($79.50) or this eyelet skirt from LOFT ($54.99).

Media, advertising and fashion

Creativity goes a long way in these industries! Showing your personal style in these sorts of offices is usually encouraged. The key is simply to look polished and put-together, whether your outfit is totally street style-worthy, or simple and minimalistic. Robbins recommends a cool leather jacket. “It's the one item that will instantly up the cool factor of any outfit,” she says. “And the best part: Leather jackets in all colors are popular right now. I love a monochrome outfit topped off with a black leather jacket. If you're thinking about investing in one, look for one that doesn't have too much hardware—flashy isn't practicality's best friend.”

Try something like this blue faux leather jacket from Forever 21 ($32.80). For girls in a super creative office, Robbins can’t say enough good things about a jumpsuit. “The jumpsuit is the ultimate day to night look,” she says. “Wear heels and top it off with a leather jacket and you can go from clients to cocktails.” We recommend a sophisticated jumpsuit, like this one from ASOS ($81).

Technology

If you’re at a Silicon Valley start-up, you may be able to be very, very casual; but that doesn’t mean unprofessional. Reeves says jeans are common—but ask a supervisor first or wait until you see what people wear. If jeans are appropriate, keep it classy. “Not sneakers and jeans,” Reeves says. “Keep them dark wash and pair them with a nicer top and shoes.” Try these Gap dark wash skinny jeans ($48.99) and pair with a peplum top, like this one from J.Crew ($49.99).

4. Finishing the look

As for hair and makeup, you’ll want to look professional and not distracting. “No fake eyelashes!” Reeves says. But bold lipstick (in the red/pink family—keep the blues at home) are great. Neon nails probably will stick out like a sore thumb at a finance job, so stick with light, basic polishes—in a creative industry, though, feel free to go wild, nail art included! Piercings and tattoos also depend on the industry, but Reeves notes, “They’re not as much of an issue as they used to be.”

When it comes to hair, you do you. “People get more concerned with hair than they need to be,” Reeves says. “Is it neat and clean? Can I see your face?” If your answers to those questions are yes, you’re probably in the clear.

5. The final test

Photo from Memorandum

Your look is complete: a navy pencil skirt, black patent leather loafers and a white eyelet top. But before you head out the door, look yourself up and down one more time. Do you have too much skin showing? Cleavage or visible bra straps? Are you comfortable?

“The challenge is not to come [to work] with a sexualized image,” Reeves says. “You’re not dressing for going out.” Reeves warns that women are unfortunately the target of a lot of criticism when it comes to showing skin—sexist, yes, but for many industries, it matters. Play it safe and be conservative at first. Most importantly, though, you should be comfortable. And if you can’t sit down in a skirt without it riding up or if you can barely cross the parking lot in your heels, then you may want to reconsider.

While business casual can be tricky to master, if you play it safe at first and then gradually adapt your office uniform to what other employees are wearing, you’re almost guaranteed to get it right!

President Trump Has Confirmed That He Called the House's Health Care Bill Mean

Despite publicly encouraging the House Republicans’ health care bill upon its passing, President Donald Trump has confirmed that he privately called the bill “mean,” Huffington Postreports.

In a Fox and Friends interview that aired this weekend, Trump’s confession came up when discussing former President Barack Obama’s response to the Senate’s bill earlier this week. Referring to Obama writing about Trump’s legislation’s “fundamental meanness,” Trump said, “Well, he actually used my term: ‘mean’. That was my term, because I want to see—and I speak from the heart—that’s what I want to see. I want to see a bill with heart.”

Allegations of Trump calling the House’s version of the bill mean arose last month when “unnamed congressional sources” claimed he had done so and that he also believed the Senate’s edition should be “more generous.” CNN reports that even though White House press secretary Sean Spicer recently refused to comment on the speculation, Trump’s interview proves that even the president wasn’t the biggest fan of the House’s bill.

This confirmation is particularly controversial because of Trump’s positive comments about the House bill when it was passed last month. Trump called it “incredibly well-crafted” in a White House Rose Garden ceremony, but, according to CNN, he admitted to Republican senators this week that the House Bill didn’t protect enough “individuals in the marketplace.”

President Trump has admitted how difficult it can be for Democrats and Republicans to discuss health care together, but after this development, it’s clear that making such decisions is challenging even within one party.

Rihanna's Tweeting World Leaders & Asking for Their Commitment to Funding Education

Throughout her career, Rihanna has proven that she is far more than a singer. We’ve seen her as a fashionista and an advocate for the less fortunate, and in her latest public service deed, she has been tweeting world leaders asking for their commitment to funding education, Cosmopolitanreports.

So far, RiRi has reached out to leaders of Argentina, Germany, France and Canada (because who could resist tweeting everyone’s favorite hot leader, Justin Trudeau?). We love that she has personalized each message, proving that she finds it important to come across as totally genuine about her mission.

What's even better about Rihanna's campaign is that some leaders have replied to her tweets. German press secretary Steffen Seibert and President of Argentina Mauricio Macri have both responded, emphasizing the importance of education to people worldwide.

Rihanna's Twitter outreach follows her recent trip to Malawi, where students often don't continue to secondary school. Working with the Global Partnership for Education, Rihanna has called these world leaders to commiting $3.1 billion towards funding education in over 80 countries between 2018 and 2020.

Props to Rihanna for using her celebrity platform to make a difference!

5 Signs He Loves You (Even if He’s Not Saying It)

$

After dating a guy for a long time, you might be eager to drop the highly anticipated L-bomb. When you’re head-over-heels in love with someone, you want to scream it from the rooftops, for goodness sakes! That’s why it can be pretty frustrating when your boyfriend is reluctant to express his feelings of love toward you, no matter how strong your feelings are for him. In fact, you might not even know if he loves you at all!

But just because he isn’t saying those three little words doesn’t mean that his love for you isn’t there. There could be plenty of signs that your guy is digging you just as much as you’re digging him – you just might not be noticing them!

After all, actions speak louder than words, right?

Why Isn’t He Saying It?

Just because a guy doesn’t say it doesn’t mean it’s not true! There could be many things holding your guy back from saying “I love you.”

Reason #1: He’s afraid of being rejected

Fear of rejection could be a huge factor in why your significant other isn’t showering you with love. Denise Christopher, a dating and relationship coach and founder of the love and date consulting website denisechristopher.com, says that you shouldn’t worry if your guy hasn’t said “I love you” yet. “Guys are no different than women when it comes to rejection; they too have a great fear of being rejected,” she says.

Let’s face it – dealing with rejection is no fun. No one wants to say “I love you” and not have those same feelings returned. Your boyfriend may be worried that you don’t feel the same way and won’t reciprocate his proclamation of love, which could be a big factor in why he’s holding back.

“I dated my girlfriend for six months before I told her I loved her,” says Scott*, a sophomore at the University of Washington. “I knew I loved her after about three months, but I was so afraid to tell her that I just couldn’t say it. I had no idea if she loved me and I didn’t want to get rejected. That would just be awkward.”

Reason #2: He had a bad past relationship

Unhealthy relationships from the past could also be a contributing factor. “Everyone has emotional baggage, and often deep hurt can effect your guy’s decision to say ‘I love you,’” Christopher says.

A terrible breakup or an unhealthy relationship can really take a toll on someone both mentally and emotionally. If your guy had his heart broken in the past, he may be scared to tell you he loves you in fear that your relationship will have the same heartbreaking ending. Fear of repeating the past can cause a guy to take a step back and assess the relationship to make sure he’s really committed to it before he takes it further.

“My last serious relationship ended really badly, and it was hard to recover from,” says Liam*, a sophomore at Washington State University. “I casually dated a few girls after it, but I never fully committed myself to them because I was always worried that they’d just end up like my last one. Getting your heart broken is no fun, and whenever I get involved with a girl, I always think about that.”

Reason #3: He doesn’t know how to say it

Maybe your guy is totally, madly in love with you, but he’s struggling to find the right way to say it. After all, it’s a pretty big deal and it comes with a lot of pressure! “Most guys aren’t as verbally expressive as women,” Christopher says. “Your guy may be feeling challenged to actually say the words ‘I love you.’”

While it may seem like a simple thing to say, a lot of guys find it very stressful and straight-up nerve-wracking.

“Like I said, I was absolutely terrified to tell my girlfriend that I love her,” Scott says. “I had never said it to a girl before and I wanted it to be special, but I had no idea how to say it or when to say it or where. I didn’t know if I should tell her casually or take her out to a fancy dinner or make some big, romantic gesture or something. I thought about it way too much, which is probably why it took me so long!”

How Can You Tell if He Loves You?

Even if he hasn’t expressed his love for you verbally, there could be plenty of nonverbal signs that he’s totally in love with you. If you’re on the lookout for clues that he’s in L-O-V-E with you, watch out for one of these signs!

Sign #1: He makes you a priority

When you become an important part of his day-to-day life, that’s a pretty good sign that he’s feeling some love for you. Taking time out of each day to catch up with you, planning weekly dates and being attentive to your needs are all signs that you’re becoming a priority in his life.

“I know you never want to be that guy that blows off his friends, but when I started dating my girlfriend, I noticed that I didn’t mind ditching ‘guy time’ to hang out with her,” says Cameron*, a sophomore at Seattle University. “When you love a girl, you make sure you have time to see her no matter what; it’s just what you do!”

When he makes time in his busy schedule of friends, school and sports just to make sure he can see you, that’s a good sign that you’re a real priority in his life.

Sign #2: He talks to you about the future

When you think about the future, you always factor in the people you love, so when your guy brings up the future to you, there’s a good chance that you’re one of those loved ones! Christopher says there’s a definite possibility that he loves you if he “talks to you about the future using the words ‘we’ or ‘us’ instead of ‘I’ or ‘me,’ sometimes without even realizing it.”

Even if the future plans are just hypothetical, it’s still a big sign that he imagines you being in his life for a long time.

“My boyfriend took SO long to tell me that he loved me,” says Hannah, a junior at the University of Washington. “I was getting really frustrated because we had been dating for several months, but one day he told me that he was thinking about places that we could move to after graduation and I was kind of taken aback. When I realized he was factoring me into his future plans, it made me feel a lot better. Even though he hadn’t said it yet, I knew he loved me—he just needed some time!”

Sign #3: He keeps you close

Unspoken displays of affection can be a big indicator that a guy has some pretty strong feelings for you – mainly, his body language when you two are out together in public.

Christopher says there’s a good chance he loves you if “he keeps you close, walks next to you and has no hesitation to show a public display of affection (i.e., holding your hands, placing his hand at the lower part of your back or giving you butterfly kisses). All this not only lets you know he’s into you, but also lets others know he’s not available.”

When a guy loves you, he wants everyone to know that you’re his girl, which is why these subtle displays of affection can hold a lot of meaning!

Sign #4: He actively listens to you talk about your day

Any guy can pretend to listen about your day, but when a guy loves you he’ll actually listen. Why? Because he wants to!

If he loves you, he’ll want to know about how your day was and how he can make it better. He’ll be there for support when you’re having a pretty crappy day or happy for you when you got an A on that big test of yours. If you notice he’s really engaged when you’re telling him personal stories or he asks a lot of pertinent questions, it’s a good sign that he’s heading towards those feelings of love.

“When you love someone, you want to know about their day because you actually care,” says Patrick*, a junior at Gonzaga University. “It also makes you want to open up to them more, too, and share personal stories about yourself. I tell my girlfriend things I wouldn’t be able to tell my guy friends or my siblings because I know she cares and I feel comfortable telling her.”

Talking to you about his day may also be a sign that he loves you. When he shares personal stories with you and values your input, it says a lot about his feelings for you.

Sign #5: You meet his extended family

Meeting the family is a big deal, so when he takes you home for Thanksgiving or introduces you to his grandparents, don’t take it lightly! Most guys wouldn’t introduce their significant others to their relatives unless they were really serious about them.

“I would never let a girl meet all my relatives unless I knew I loved her and saw a future with her,” Cameron says. “If you bring a girl home to meet your whole family, they all usually assume it’s pretty serious. I know my relatives still ask me about my ex-girlfriend ALL the time because I brought her to one of my family reunions a few years ago. It’s not worth it to just bring any girl home; she’s got to be special.”

Should You Say it First?

If you’ve picked up on some of these signs and you’re getting the feeling that he loves you too, should you go ahead and drop the L-bomb first? It may be tempting – someone has to take initiative and say it, after all! Before you go ahead and express your undying love for him, however, you may want to take a step back and look at the reason why you’re so eager to say “I love you.”

“If you are saying ‘I love you’ only in hopes to be reassured about the relationship and hear the words back so you can feel secure... don’t do it,” Christopher says. “He will likely sense where this declaration is really coming from and begin to feel pressured or manipulated.”

If you need to hear the words “I love you” just so you can feel more secure about yourself, then dropping the first L-bomb may not be in your (or his) best interests. You don’t want to pressure him into saying something he doesn’t necessarily feel yet. If you want to say it just to satisfy your own ego, then it may be best to wait.

On the other hand, there’s nothing wrong with saying “I love you” first if you truly can’t contain your love. “If you are truly secure and are bursting at the seams, struggling to hold back those words every time you see him… go for it,” Christopher says. “Know, though, that you are ready to express your feelings because they are what they are, and be confident with the possibility that the words may not be returned.”

Although you may get the response you were hoping for, you should be okay if he can’t quite return the feelings yet! You should only say “I love you” if that’s how you really feel. Don’t expect anything in return; just hope for the best! If you truly do love him, you should be willing to wait until he can figure out his feelings and say he loves you when he really feels it. You don’t want him to say something he doesn’t mean just to please you.

If you find yourself stressing because your guy hasn’t said those three important words yet, don’t worry! The love could be there; he may just not be ready to say it yet.

How She Got There: Liz Wessel, Co-founder and CEO at WayUp

Name: Liz Wessel
Age: 26
Job Title and Description: Co-founder and CEO at WayUp
College Name/Major: UPenn and studied Political Science, Math and Japanese
Website:wayup.com
Twitter Handle:@lizwessel
Instagram Handle:@lizwessel

What does your current job entail? Is there such a thing as a typical day?

Liz Wessel: I would guess that about 60% of my day is spent in interviews, then 20% is spent in internal meetings with employees at WayUp, then the final 20% is spent with external people, whether it be investors or press or clients. As we grow bigger, more interviews show up on my calendar -- I feel like I could be a full-time interviewer anytime soon.

What is the best part of your job?

LW: Definitely the people I get to work with. I learn from and get inspired by them every day.

What was your first entry-level job in your field and how did you get it?

LW: I only had one job before WayUp, and that was working at Google -- first as a Product Marketing Manager in Mountain View, and then leading all Brand initiatives in India. I got this job from a summer internship I had my junior-year summer at Google, which I got simply by applying online!

What words of wisdom (well-known quotes, an anecdote from your boss) do you find most valuable?

LW: Great isn’t good enough.

What is one mistake you made along the way and what did you learn from it?

LW: I know this sounds cheesy, but I’m a big believer in not thinking of things as ‘mistakes’, and rather thinking of them as learning opportunities. The true ‘mistake’ you’d make is doing one wrong thing twice -- meaning that you didn’t learn from it the first time. That being said, the most obvious mistakes I’d point to that I learned the most from were all hiring mistakes -- bringing people onto the team who were just not vetted properly during the interview process for whatever reason. But we’re constantly working on improving our interviewing in order to avoid this from happening anymore.

What has been the most surreal moment of your career thus far?

LW: This is such a hard question! I feel like there are surreal moments every day. I’d say a “top 5” pick would be our first company all-hands after we acquired Looksharp. Suddenly we had four new full-time team members almost overnight, and we had to figure out how to video conference them into the meeting so that they could see us and we could see them. It was a bit crazy to think that in 2.5 years, we grew from 2 employees to 52 and that we now had 2 offices.

What do you look for when considering hiring someone?

LW: The most important key is whether they would fit into the WayUp culture. Then, I look at whether their skills match up with the skill-set we’re looking for. Finally, I consider whether they are the type to be strategic and creative, and therefore think outside of the box in order to bring their role to the next level.

What advice would you give to a 20-something with similar aspirations?

LW: Try before you buy! If you want to start a business one day, then start a business during college when the risk is lowest, since you aren’t betting everything on it (because you have classes, and so on)... If you want to go into marketing, get a part-time job as an Ambassador for a company to see a bit about what marketing is like. And so on. (Pssst you can get one of those part-time jobs on WayUp!)

What's the one thing that's stood out to you the most in a resume?

LW: What stands out to me most are the achievements that someone has in each role they’ve been in. I typically don’t care too much about the responsibilities if there are no quantitative achievements listed next to each responsibility. For example, if you say that you were a writer for your school newspaper, that’s fine and dandy, but so are thousands of other students. If you say that you’re a writer who has the #1 most-read content of anyone at your newspaper, and whose page traffic helped to increase advertorial sales by 20% in one semester, I’d be impressed.

These Are the Worst Ways 'Pretty Little Liars' Could End

$

With the series finale of the beloved Pretty Little Liars set to air soon, the seven-year reign of A is about to come to an end. A's identity will no doubt be revealed, as fans have been eagerly waiting for years to find out who the ultimate troublemaker is. However, if there's one lesson this show has taught us, it's to expect the unexpected. With all the theories out there, it's clear that anything could happen. We're hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Here are some of the worst ways Pretty Little Liars could end.

The writers completely decimate any friendship and love the Liars have for one another

These girls have been through a ton of ups and downs. There's something heartwarming about watching a group of girls mend broken friendships and work together to figure out who's been terrorizing them. When they're not preoccupied running from a murderer or escaping death, it's easy to find things about each of them that remind you of your own friends. Tearing apart close bonds that were forged through common experiences and trauma? Destroying female friendships? That's definitely not cool.

One or more of the Liars gets killed off before figuring out A's identity

The girls have been playing a dangerous game for years, and honestly, it's amazing they've all made it this far alive. Since they've all survived so far, to off even one of them would be such a disappointment.

The final episode ends like a typical episode

Leaving you with more questions than answers—that would be pretty anticlimactic after seven seasons of waiting for Uber A to be revealed and justice to be served. The least the writers could do is answer the one question we've all been dying to know.

A finally gets arrested, but A's identity is still not revealed

There has been far too much murder, endless drama and countless secrets throughout this show's existence. Since the whole plot revolves around finding out who A is, this ending would be a total contradiction to the entire series. Not to mention a ton of super-invested fans would be ready to riot. Nobody has agonized over the identity of Uber A more than faithful viewers.

The Liars all decide to leave Rosewood and give up on their pursuit to find out who A is

As they should because this is common sense when a pyschopath is chasing after you. But this would satisfy nobody as A would still be out there. Heck, the show could've ended long before now if there was no A mystery to solve.

Ezra and Aria get married

These two have been through so much together it's unreal. However, given recent events, it's become clear that Ezria should not be together forever. Marriage means you are there for your spouse, for better or for worse, during their time of need. While we've watched Aria go through something so traumatic in this seventh season, Ezra has been oblivious to the fact that she needs him. He's been caught up in Nicole's drama and has been selfish and juvenile in the way he's dealt with Nicole and her family's issues. Ezra doesn't even talk to Aria about his choices, like disappearing without telling his fiancée and spending their money on trips to New York. This should be a clear warning to Aria about the kind of husband he's going to be. This isn't exactly a model, healthy relationship.

They find out who A is but don't turn the person in because he's Emily's baby daddy

In a potential shocking plot twist, what if A turned out to be the father of Emily's baby (which Alison is pregnant with)? I mean, if Ali can be artificially inseminated without her knowledge or consent, anything's possible. Despite the hell A has put Alison, Emily and the rest of the Liars through, what if Emison convinced the other Liars not to turn A in? Even if A was arrested and thrown in jail, it's possible A could still threaten and harass the Liars from behind bars.

A blackmails Emison into giving up the baby

Arguably, if A got a hold of that baby and raised it, they could brainwash it to believe the Liars were the real villains. That could spawn a sequel of sorts if the child decided to continue A's work and destroy the girls once and for all. Far-fetched? Maybe. Impossible? Nope. Nothing is impossible when it comes to PLL

5 Unrealistic Expectations You Shouldn’t Have For Your SO

$

Relationships come with a lot of built-in pressure from our parents, our peers and society. With all of the extra scrutiny from the outside, the last thing you and your boo need is pressure from each other. Whether it’s a bad habit they have, that one ugly T-shirt to they like to wear or that constant urge to compare them to someone else’s partner, expecting our significant others to dress, act or say what we want can happen unknowingly. Luckily, we’re here to help. Here are some things that are totally fairytale when it comes to expectations for your relationship.

1. Always expecting them to foot the bill

It takes two to tango, which means unless they tell you up front that it’s their treat, always offer to fork up your half of the dinner, the ice cream or the weekend getaway. You know college students aren’t rolling in the dough and you should expect no different from your SO. They may work crazy hours at their part-time job, but that’s their money, not yours.

Kayla Dungee, a sophomore at Kennesaw State University, agrees. "I don't agree with the guy paying for everything anymore," she says. "We both work so I realized that it's unfair that he dish out all the money while I hoard mine. Now I pay for dates just as much as he does. Nothing wrong with treating him sometimes too."

Remember, it doesn’t always have to be about money. Sometimes, it’s the littlest (and most priceless) things that count the most!

2. Wanting them to dress a certain way

Everyone has their own personal style and everyone goes through phases. Remember your Hollister phase? Or when you thought it was cool to layer on sixty of those jelly bracelets? Now you know better but you had to learn on your own. Your boyfriend may enjoy cargo shorts even though he’s not a contractor or your girlfriend may wear that really tacky orange shirt all of the time, but if it makes your SO happy right now, then you should support it. What Not To Wear isn’t on the air anymore, so you don’t have to worry about having a style intervention with them any time soon.

“Whether consciously or unconsciously, people tend to dress trying to communicate a certain self image to the world,” says Melissa Friedman, a senior at Temple University. “Telling your significant other to dress a certain way undermines his or her personal taste. If you don't like the way the person you're dating dresses, you can decide two ways: deal with it, or if it's really that big a deal, don't date that person.”

Let them express themselves. It’s just that simple.

3. Expecting them to ditch their friends to hang with you...all of the time

We get it, sometimes you’re going through an existential crisis and you just want someone to hold you while spoon-feeding you Ben & Jerry’s. But, if you know that your SO may be hanging with friends and you throw a fit when he or she won’t drop everything to come and hang with you, then it’s a problem.

“I always have to watch myself and be careful that I don't expect my boyfriend to spend so much time with me that it takes away from his friends and family,” says Shelly Adams, a junior at Shenandoah University. “He's got a lot more friends than I do, and sometimes I take out my boredom on him!”

You need "me time" and so does your SO! If you're together constantly, it can get boring. Time apart will give you more to talk about when you're together and will make your time together just that much more special.

4. Expecting them to always be the one to apologize first

One of the biggest parts of a relationship is learning to work in a reciprocal way with another person. So you had a fight about his ex-girlfriend liking his latest Instagram? Think about how the argument started and what role you played before you place all of the blame on him. Yes, sometimes a fight can solely be caused by one person versus the other, but always put into perspective what you could have done to not let it get blown out of proportion in the first place. This doesn’t mean always being the first person to say, “I’m sorry,” but make sure they aren’t either.

Sometimes, it just depends on putting your pride to the wayside. "If you do something to hurt your partner, put aside your pride, own up to your mistake and give an apology," says Carly, a senior at Allegheny College. "It shows that you care about them and your relationship."

You know that you’re always going to have to give some to get some and it’s no different when it comes to apologies.

5. Expecting them to always be comfortable around your friends and family

If you’re wondering how crazy introducing your significant other to your friends and family can be, watch Meet the Fockers and you’ll understand how terrifying it can be. Cut your SO some slack and know they aren’t going to always feel at home with your BFFs and parents right away. Everyone takes their own amount of time to get to know strangers and just because you’re dating, the time to get comfy and cozy doesn’t get accelerated.

"He knows that he's always under the radar for how he acts in front of your family because he could potentially become a part of the family,” says Nicole Ambrose, a senior at Duquesne University. “He always has to be on his best behavior and no one would be comfortable with that."

The least you can do is realize there is a ton of pressure on them when it comes to the family and friends ordeal. It’s perfectly natural, but unless they’ve been cool with each other beforehand, don’t expect them to be BFFL after one awkward dinner occasion.

Relationships are about compromise. Don’t sweat the small stuff and let the little things slide. If something is seriously bugging you about your SO, tell them. But, always think about what it is that’s bothering you. It may not be their outfit, it may be that they’re lazy or that you’re a perfectionist. Always think, take a step back, examine the situation and decide whether or not it’s a bigger issue or something that can be squashed right then and there.

Why I Have Mixed Feelings That ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Is Still Filming

The opinions expressed in this article are the author's own and do not reflect the views of Her Campus.

By Stephanie Downs

As Her Campus previously reported, Bachelor in Paradise is officially back on after it was concluded that no misconduct occurred on set. This was great news not only because, in a more obvious sense, a crime allegedly didn’t occur, but also because it meant fans everywhere would get a chance to see the show after all.

I’m a diehard fan of anything Bachelor-adjacent. Reality TV, and The Bachelor franchise especially, is true escapism for me. Why deal with real-world problems when I can follow Rachel’s search for love or Carly and Evan’s unlikely path to an engagement? I look forward to every single season, and always have a glass of wine and Twitter at the ready for each new episode. I’m a Bachelor Nation superfan. Put the word “Bachelor” in any TV show title and I am 100 percent there. But, my intense excitement over the news soon gave way to some mixed feelings about the show’s return.

Are we just supposed to forget about these allegations and tune in to watch people get drunk and potentially find love, as we had before? It seems odd to head right back to a happy-go-lucky Paradise world after Corinne, who was at the center of the allegation, said in her official statement about the incident that she was, “a victim.” Are viewers supposed to forget that fact once Bachelor in Paradise starts up again? It’s a bold and straightforward statement on Corinne’s part, one that shouldn’t be forgotten so easily. Corinne and her legal team don’t seem to be finished with this matter. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Corinne’s legal team responded to Warner Bros. by saying that, “Our own investigation will continue.”

If that’s the case, it doesn’t seem like this is over for DeMario either, who was the other cast member at the center of the issue. He’s supposedly in the clear now, but it will be difficult not to think of the allegations against him while watching the show. I’m not sure about other viewers, but I know that I’ll have some trouble enjoying Paradise knowing that this ordeal still isn’t over, at least for Corinne and DeMario — even though Warner Bros. would like us to think so.

The statement by Warner Bros. statement included a promise to ramp up protections for contestants, which left me with even more questions. Why weren’t there sufficient protections in place beforehand? I thought Bachelor Nation shows vouched for the safety of the cast. Bachelor Nation contestants came out of the woodwork to defend the nature of the show. Evan Bass, who married Carly Waddell at the Mexican resort where Bachelor in Paradise is filmed, made a passionate plea in The Hollywood Reporter to save the show. Ashley Iaconetti and former Bachelor Ben Higgins took to their new podcast, The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast, to talk about how safe they’ve felt on the show.

Was this an issue at play in the scandal or not? Maybe it wasn’t and they’re just trying to be overly cautious to assure viewers that Bachelor in Paradise can still exist after all of this. But, the statement did make me question what really went wrong in Paradise and if the safety of the contestants was ever in jeopardy. These are questions that I will still be left with as the show starts up again, even if the contestants and producers are trying to convince me otherwise. That’s mainly because the two contestants are still caught up in the entire issue.

While I have mixed feelings over the whole Bachelor in Paradise scandal, I would still call myself a Bachelor Nation superfan. I don’t have any problems with The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. It’s the next season of Bachelor in Paradise, and the show as a whole, that doesn’t sit well with me. While I was dying to see the next season of Paradise, I would have understood and respected the decision if it was cancelled for this summer. Now, the next season of Paradise will be connected to this scandal, even if the allegations were cleared. I’ll still watch it, but it will be under a careful eye and a little less enthusiasm.

Japan Is Getting This Watermelon Starbucks Drink & I NEED To Try It

It's time to get my one-way ticket to Tokyo. Starbucks is releasing a watermelon drink on June 28—but only in Japan. The Shaken Watermelon and Passion Tea is made from crushed ice, watermelon juice and Teavana tea, AKA the perfect summer drink.

If the new Mango Pineapple and Berry Prickly Pear Frappuccinos weren't your thing, this just might be the drink of the summer for you. If only it didn't require crossing the Pacific Ocean to taste it! Japan has been seriously blessed with the most unique Starbucks flavors, including the Sunshine Mandarin Mango Tea Frappuccino and Sakura Blossom Cream Frappuccino in the past. Meanwhile, we're stuck with caramel, vanilla and java chip in the states. They're classics, but they can get boring.

If seeing this watermelon drink has got you craving the most refreshing pink fruit, we have several watermelon recipes you'll love for summer. Or, if you want to recreate Starbucks' Japanese drink, try making it yourself by blending ice, watermelon juice and your favorite passionfruit tea in a blender before heading out to sip and relax by the pool.

But for those of you #wanderlust-obsessed collegiettes, if you find yourself in Japan this summer, you can get the official Starbucks Shaken Watermelon and Passion Tea until August 31.

The Supreme Court Is Allowing Part of Trump's Travel Ban to Take Effect

$

When President Donald Trump issued his travel ban at the beginning of his presidency, courts and lawyers around the U.S. were quick to shut it down—so he made a new one and sent it out. On Monday, the Supreme Court agreed to put into effect part of the revised travel ban, which blocks "new visas for travelers from six majority-Muslim countries for 90 days, and suspends the U.S. refugee program for 120 days," according to NPR.

Here's how we got to this point: When the second version of the ban made its way to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Chief Judge Roger Gregory said in the majority opinion, "[The executive order] speaks with vague words of national security but in context drips with religious intolerance."

While the executive order mentions nothing about religion, it's important to consider the context around the ban, and how Trump has described it in several statements to the press and on Twitter. The courts also had to explore if we even need a travel ban, given the intense vetting process that already exists for refugees looking to enter the U.S.

When the ban made it to the 9th circuit, the judges wrote, "The order does not offer a sufficient justification to suspend the entry of more than 180 million people on the basis of nationality."

So, out of other options, the administration petitioned the Supreme Court. And on Monday, SCOTUS decided they would hear Trump out on his ban, which The New York Times says sets the stage for "for a major decision on the scope of presidential power." Basically, their eventual decision will dictate how presidents are able to use their power for years to come.

The Washington Post reports that the court is allowing a limited version of the ban to take effect, and then they'll consider the case of the president's actions in the fall. They also say the most important exception to this ruling is that the ban cannot be enforced against foreigners who have "credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States.” The Post points out that people with family in the U.S., or who are already students at U.S. universities, would have a "bona fide relationship," meaning they couldn't be banned from entering the country.

You can read the entire decision on Trump's petition on the Supreme Court website.

As a reminder, the foreign countries included in the ban are Libya, Iran, Sudan, Somalia Syria and Yemen. PLUS any and all refugees. While I can count on President Trump celebrating his victory, is this really a victory for anyone else in the U.S. or around the world?

Starbucks Totally Ruined This Man's Day & His Hilarious Feedback Is Going Viral

It can be easy to disregard people's dietary requests, like using regular flour instead of gluten free flour when baking, especially when you're not the one who has to deal with the consequences. But in one man's case, Starbucks seriously screwed up his order by using regular milk instead of soy milk—and his feedback for them on Facebook is going viral.

Demit Strato posted on Monday that the barista "ignored" his order of soy milk. The result? "I've pooped 11 times since the A.M. My bottom hurts from all the wiping." He also wants to clarify that he doesn't order soy milk because it sounds fancy, saying "I order soy milk so that my bottom doesnt blast fire for 4 hours." His tragic-but-hilarious comment is going viral with thousands of likes and shares.

TBH the best part is the ending, where he writes, "I'm not a Charmander. Thank you for listening to my rant. P.S. I'm writing this from the comfort OF MY TOILET." People could definitely relate, commenting, "same,""I feel this on a personal level,""this poor guy I understand the pain" and "this is my life." Though I hope Strato is all right, I'm cracking up at the post and commentary. It's beautiful how people can come together over the shared pain of accidentally ingesting cow's milk.

Hopefully Starbucks gets its act together so this man doesn't have to suffer anymore.

DeMario Jackson Gets Emotional in First Interview Since 'Bachelor in Paradise' Controversy

Bachelor in Paradise fans know ALL about the show's recent scandal, which was so huge that production shut down as Warner Bros. investigated allegations of sexual misconduct. According to reports, two producers were concerned about whether Corinne Olympios was able to give consent for a sexual encounter she had with DeMario Jackson. The investigation has now come to a close, and filming for BIP has resumed in Mexico, with episodes expected to air on ABC later this summer.

One person we haven’t heard much from during the ordeal is DeMario, but he's finally speaking out about how this has affected him and his family. In a tearful sit-down with E! News, the first of a three-part interview airing Monday and Tuesday, DeMario talked about how his mom and dad supported him throughout the scandal.

“It was stressful. For me, mostly for my mother. It's hard to see your mom cry every single day. It was very difficult,” he said through tears.

“My dad, he kept me extremely strong and kept me grounded and humble but having your mom cry every day for something that you know you didn't do,” DeMario added.

Although the Warner Bros. investigation has ended, Corinne’s legal team has announced they're continuing with their own investigation. As for what’s in store for BIP fans in Season 4, no one knows at this point. We just hope every party involved in this controversy can get the healing they deserve.

Buckle up—we have another "Fox and Friends" interview where both the interviewer and interviewee praise President Donald Trump. Monday's interview with Ivanka Trump, the president's oldest daughter and one of his senior advisers, resulted in some interesting answers.

"I try to stay out of politics," Ivanka said, when asked about the president's use of social media. "I don't profess to be a political savant, so I leave the politics to other people and really lean into the issues that I care deeply about." We get it, she's focused on the issues, rather than the "politics" of the situation. However, as one of the people with possibly the most influence on the leader of our country, it's simply false that she's uninvolved in politics.

In fact, it's bordering on offensive to shrug off politics as something she doesn't want to be interested in. The issues she says she cares about (i.e. women's rights) are deeply rooted in the political process, and in the party her father represents. If she can't come to grips with that, maybe she shouldn't be so close to the Oval Office. Her job—literally a senior adviser to the POTUS—means she doesn't get to "leave politics to other people."

When asked what specifically she and her father disagree on, she refused to go into detail. "Naturally, there are areas where there's disagreement," Ivanka said. "We're two different human beings, so I like to focus instead on areas where I can add positive value, where I can contribute to the agenda."

She wasn't asked if there was disagreement; she was asked what they disagree on. A smart answer to protect her father, especially as the next day's headlines would probably be all, "Ivanka and her father disagree on ____."

Lastly, she gave the president an 'A' for his performance, even though she believes she is slightly biased, according to CNN. Um, yeah, given that she's Trump's daughter, "slightly" is probably an understatement.

Barack Obama Is on a Meaningful Vacation in Indonesia

Former President Barack Obama is making us SO jealous with his slew of post-presidential vacations. From Italy and Hawaii to Tahiti and Guam, Obama has been living it up and soaking in the sun. The family's first post-White House vacation was to a Coachella mansion in the Palm Springs Valley in California. He even stayed at a $78,000 per night resort in the British Virgin Islands, where he went kitesurfing with billionaire Richard Branson. And no one could forget Michelle Obama's vacay vibes while visiting the Tuscan countryside in Italia.

But Obama's latest trip is about a bit more than relaxation—he'll be living in Indonesia until the end of July, according to Refinery29. He arrived with the whole former first family on Friday. Though they're starting off the trip at a resort in Ubud, their travels will take them to Jakarta and Yogyakarta for more personal reasons. Obama lived in Jakarta as a 6-year-old boy with his mother, who conducted anthropology research in the old city of Yogyakarta. He lived there for a few years, y'know, before he became a Harvard grad and famous politician.

The definite theme of his journeys seems to be tropical, full of time on the ocean, so I'm guessing he wasn't a big fan of those brutal Washington DC winters. But don't worry, he still has ties in Washington DC—last we heard, the Obamas were renting an 8,200-square-foot house in a fancy area of DC called Kalorama. We don't blame him for traveling so much—after eight years as president, he deserves a nice, long vacation.

Queen Bey never seems to fail us, and she definitely came through for Gal Gadot during her Wonder Woman auditions. We know what you’re thinking: "OMG, Gal Gadot and Beyoncé hung out?! BFF goals!” Not quite. (We wish!)

While waiting to audition for Batman v Superman, Gadot needed a little confidence boost, so she turned to our favorite hype woman: Beyoncé.

Gal told W magazine in April how Bey helped her shake off her nerves. “They were looking at six or seven girls, and we were all in separate trailers and were told to stay inside until they called us. Waiting is my enemy number one, and I was losing my mind," Gal explained. "So, I decided to put on Beyoncé. 'Who runs the world? Girls!' I just started to dance, and I let my anxiety go. Thank you, Beyoncé!”

So we can thank Beyoncé for the perfect girl power anthem and the perfect Wonder Woman. Long live, Queen Bey!
