Lauren Conrad & Lucy Hale's Hairstylist Is Launching Her Own Line of Products at Target

If you've never heard of Kristin Ess, you soon will. The celebrity hairstylist (whose clients include Lauren Conrad, Lucy Hale, and Jenna Tatum, just to name a few) recently announced exciting news: she is about to launch her own line of hair products at Target! The LA-based hair genius told Refinery29 that her goal for this prodcut line is for every one of us to have a "good hair day," which is definitely something I can get behind.

Me waiting for a good hair day:

Me waiting for a good hair day like

Kristin Ess Hair launches January 15 and will feature 15 amazing products, including shampoo and conditioner, texturizing spray, pomade, and more. There's literally something for every hair type, so everyone can benefit from this new line! Kristin is best known for her tousled everyday do's and glam red carpet looks, and these products are designed to help us (attempt to) recreate these looks in the comfort of our own home.

Hi, can I gidda small Fall Blended®, no whip?

A photo posted by KRISTIN ESS HAIR (@kristin_ess) on

If I can get hair that is 1/100th as good as Lucy Hale's, then I will consider this line a success.

One of the best parts of this line being sold at Target is that, unlike other products created by celebrities or famous hair stylists, this one promises to not break the bank. All 15 products will range in price from $10 to $14, so you can try them all at a fraction of the cost of some of the big-name brands! Hollywood hair without the Hollywood price tag? Essentially, Kristin Ess Hair is a literal dream come true.

Even though the line won't hit stores until January 22, the Target website will have an early launch on (wait for it...) January 15! Which is in exactly THREE days. Excuse me while I go sit in the haircare aisle of Target until then.

It only took until 2017, but we can now confirm that the Goblet of Fire exists! It not only exists, but it comes in the form of a cocktail.

So how can you try it for yourself? Well, you’ll have to get your passport ready for a trip to Singapore, which is where you'll find Harry Potter-themed café Platform 1094. Of course, if you’re a witch or wizard, you could just apparate there. And trust me, once you see the magic of these drinks, you’ll be DYING to figure out some magical way to get there.

Now that you’ve seen the beautiful splendor of it all, let’s talk about what’s actually in this drink. The Goblet of Fire cocktail is made from Bacardi rum, lemonade, blue Curacao liqueur and a sprinkle of cinnamon, which gets lit (literally).

Lonely Planet reports that Platform 1094 also serves other potion-inspired drinks like Liquid Luck, The Elixir of Life and Truth Venom, along with some dishes the wizarding world would surely approve of—the Giant’s Breakfast and Black Magic panna cotta, for instance.

Now I must practice my apparition.

This Fashion App May Be the Perfect Excuse to Splurge on Clothes

Being a fashionable college woman on a budget can be extremely difficult, especially when the cost of designer clothing is about the same as a semester of tuition. Who can afford that??? VillageLuxe, however, is about to change the fashion game in such an exciting way.

Founder Julia Gudish Krieger recently launched the startup in New York City, and is giving us all the opportunity to rent each other's designer clothing and accessories for a much lower price than buying the items outright. How amazing is that? Both the site and app are invite-only, which ensures the designer items are worthy of trading and eliminates the risk of picking fake items.

This fashion trading empire didn't come without hard work. Krieger studied and worked in the tech world, and told Forbes she was constantly trying to network with CEOs for her future endeavors. Lucky for her (and us!), it paid off. She modelled her company after other popular names like Airbnb and Uber, and is allowing people to share things almost as personal as their homes and cars—their designer clothing. "Referred to as 'the Airbnb of high-end fashion,' VillageLuxe allows women to borrow designer clothing, shoes and accessories directly from other women," Krieger says to Forbes. "This peer-to-peer rental experience extends the common friend dynamic of 'Can I borrow that?' but across entire neighborhoods and cities in a socially integrated way."

Being able to have designer clothing and accessories in your closet without living in fear of receiving your credit card statements would be a truly magical feeling. VillageLuxe seems like the perfect solution to always keeping your fashion game strong, but there is one pretty major downfall. There are already 12,000 people on the waitlist to join this exclusive site and app, which means it may take a while for us to benefit from Krieger's hardwork. Can someone invite me in, please?

Here's What We Know About 'American Horror Story' Season 7 So Far

Following the news that American Horror Story has been renewed for three more seasons, including its upcoming seventh season, more hints on what Season 7 entails have begun to trickle out. Because it’s crucial for us to get our facts straight to hold us over until the show returns, here’s what we know about the new season so far!

Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are coming back

AHS wouldn’t be the same without these longtime cast members, who have appeared in every season of the show thus far. No one else from the show has hinted at their return, but there’s definitely a likelihood of a lot of familiar faces appearing. Show creator Ryan Murphy has even confirmed that he hasn't cast anyone but these two loyal stars yet, so everyone is basically in the dark together.

The season’s theme will be revealed this spring

According to TVLine, fans will uncover Season 7’s storyline way earlier than they did Season 6's. “We’re going to announce [the premise] in the spring,” Murphy shared. “We’re not doing a secrecy thing, but [next season] does have a big hook behind it.” Murphy also announced that, unlike some past seasons, season seven’s timeline will remain in the modern day.

“Ryan has yet another really innovative idea for how to do something fresh and different with the franchise that audiences haven’t seen before,” FX president John Landgraf confirmed with E! News. Let the guessing begin!

Some past characters will be involved

Stay calm, but some of your old favorites may be back soon, Entertainment Weekly reports. “Next year, we will be going back to some Freak Show characters, deeper histories and mythologies,” Murphy has said. “So we’re sort of still exploring Season 4 in Season 7.” Um, Jessica Lange, we’re looking at you.

Here's hoping that we won't have to wait until the official plot reveal for more news of what this new season will bring. Until then, there's always rewatching American Horror Story: Roanoke to keep us on the edge of our seats.

The Weeknd's Lyrics Hint That He's Been Crushing on Selena Gomez for a While

Pics of Selena Gomez and The Weeknd kissing were literally just released yesterday, but timing never stops fans from speculating about how certain celebrity couples (or friends?) came to be. According to Teen Vogue, the answer to everyone’s questions could be found in the lyrics of The Weeknd’s hot song “Party Monster.”

The catchy track, which now has a music video to accompany it, includes the suspicious lyric “Like Selena, ass shaped like Selena.” Given the fact that the song was released in Nov. 2016, this line was probably written long before the pair's flirty connection was made, but some fans think otherwise. Maybe The Weeknd was guilty of some long-distance crushing?

However, others are fighting back about these guesses, insisting that the lyric is meant to be about Selena Quintanilla-Perez, a beloved Latina artist who passed away in 1995 and was often known by just her first name. Do you think The Weeknd is a fan?

We'll have to see if The Weeknd will settle this debate once and for all and spill the truth. But if he and Selena really are starting a relationship, the duo definitely deserves a little less internet speculation.

6 Outfits That Show Off Your Big Butt

Girls with a donk have a very unique struggle: trying to hide it so as not to be “too sexy” and wiggling though skinny jeans. Don’t even get me started on the butt gap (seriously, whose butt is the same width as their waist?!)

But through all the struggles, you know your butt is fabulous, and you should show it off! Here are six outfits that will draw attention to your best asset.

1. Leggings and a cropped sweater

Baby, it’s cold outside, but that doesn’t mean your back end needs to be covered. A cropped sweater will hit just above the waist, while leggings will show off your — ahem — assets.

2. Body con dress

We can all relate to this sexy LBD. Dark colors slim you out, so if you’re feeling self-conscious, go dark. Don’t worry, though, your precious donk will look just as nice. Slip on a pair of translucent black tights if you get cold.

3. High-waisted jeans and a long sleeve crop top

The crop top will draw attention to the jeans, and the jeans will highlight your booty.

4. Peplum

Anything peplum will highlight your curves! Try a peplum dress to draw attention to your nice butt at a party, and skinny jeans and a peplum top to kill it in class.

5. Anything sparkly on bottom

Eyes are naturally drawn toward sparkles. Not to mention, it’s an easy, low key way to bring attention to your caboose. Try sequined pants for a fun vibe that not many girls are bold enough to try. Add a cable knit sweater to make it winter-ready.

6. High-waisted shorts and tights

Focusing on mixing summer and winter draws a serious problem: what about your booty? High-waisted shorts are a killer go-to, and the tights make them winter appropriate. You can’t go wrong with this outfit!

13 Ways Every College Student Lets Their Parents Down

$

We know college students aren't a bunch of angels, but even still there are some behaviors that best be kept hidden from your parents. You love them to death, so let's hide the disappointment from mom and dad a little longer, shall we? Here are the 13 ways you've not so low-key let them down.

1. Spending your money irresponsibly

Avocado add-on? Yes please! Four different lace-up body suits? Absolutely! Investing my money to eventually pay off the massive student loans I will be saddled with? No thank you.

2. Sleeping in

Didn't you read that study that said teens need 9 to 10 hours of sleep? I figure if I'm going to perform at optimal efficiency I should make it 12 to 14 hours a night.

3. Not doing enough laundry

I may or may not be wearing a bathing suit bottom as underwear right now, but my parents are hundreds of miles away so they can't judge me for it.

4. Idolizing vapid celebrities

If my parents knew that Kim Kardashian going back on Instagram was a topic of conversation on-campus, they'd send me home and make me listen to NPR for 800 hours.

5. Looking at screens constantly

Don't worry, my ocular muscles are actually becoming stronger from watching Instagram makeup tutorials on my phone while I watch Netflix on my laptop. Not addicted at all.

6. Procrastinating

Excuse me while I read every Wikipedia page pertaining to the O. J. Simpson trial. This is definitely more important than my research paper due tomorrow that will count for 20 percent of my final grade.

7. Excessive caffeine intake

Nothing like drinking a nice cup of coffee, accelerating your heart rate beyond normal ranges and sweating profusely to start your morning.

8. Forgetting to call

Wah. I'm sorry. Nothing more to say about this one.

9. Drug or alcohol-induced shenanigans

Binge-drinking was not a thing for our parents' generation, so the whole culture must seem depraved. Well, it actually is depraved.

10. Tipping badly

I don't have the steady income to tip my service the way they deserve. Believe me, once I have more than four dollars in my bank account, I will be a big spender.

11. Being antisocial

Sometimes I don't want to eat lunch with friends. Sometimes, I just want to bump Beyoncé and update my resume.

12. Unhealthy eating

Late-night snacking, ignoring fruits and veggies, sugary sodas. The list goes on and on… and none of it would be allowed at home.

13. Posting rap lyrics as Instagram captions

My parents would strike me dead if they knew what a trap queen was.

The Library at the University of Kansas Hands Out Pins for Gender Preference

In a controversial step toward inclusiveness, the library at the University of Kansas has decided to allow employees and students to don a pin that shows their preferred gender association.  Square pins with pronouns of either "him,""her" or "them" with their pronoun counterparts is part of a First Amendment-oriented plan to ensure an environment of acceptance and validation for typically marginalized people.  These pins are voluntarily given upon request and has become so popular that the buttons have already been reordered once.

While the initiative’s primarily attempting to protect student’s right to freedom of expression, there of course has been debate:

The move is not the first of its kind, as many other universities have done similar things. At the University of Michigan, teachers allow the use of preferred pronouns on class rosters and the University of Vermont allows teachers to wear nametags and hand out business cards with their preference. Many have made progress in recent years with gender-inclusive housing programs, bathrooms, and more.

Colleges across the states, such as Vanderbilt University, Harvard, and California universities have moved toward the protection of gender non-conformity, a USA Today article from fall 2015 suggests, since students who don't identify as strictly male or female “are more likely to fall victim to hate crime and suicide because of their identities.”

15 Struggles of Being the Homebody of Your Friend Group

When you're the homebody of your friend group, there are just certain things that your BFFs will never understand about you (or stop teasing you about). We love our extroverted besties more than life, but we also cherish our alone time––probably more than we could ever put into words. Read below for the 15 struggles that every homebody of the friend group can understand:

Explaining to your friends that you actually enjoy doing nothing

"What are you doing?""Nothing... but like the good kind of nothing––if that makes sense?"

Creating the perfect excuse to cancel your plans

Because your friends are on to all of your tricks at this point.

The irrational fear that you're going to end up alone because you never want to leave the house

How can we meet Mr. or Mrs. Right from our bedroom?

Being dragged out of the house by your roommates for a "great time"

Ha, sure. We bet this is going to be sooooo much fun... *sigh*

Counting down the seconds until you can go home

Oh, would you look at that! It's midnight, we have to get to bed.

Politely rejecting your BFFs when they invite you to sleep over

It's not that we don't love you, we just love our home a little bit more.

Realizing how lame you are

But you just wouldn't want it any other way. HOME is your ideal environment.

Balancing all of your at-home activities

Should you read? Watch a movie? Get lost in your thoughts?

Accepting that you're referred to as the "anti-social" friend

Hey, someone has to take on that role.

Recommending books to your BFFs that you know they'll never read

They'll honestly never understand what they're missing out on.

The oh-so-regular late-night wake ups from your drunk roommates

Can you at least try to be quiet when you come home at 2 a.m.?

Your snooze button is your ultimate bae

Do we really have to leave our bed this morning?

Putting on jeans is the ultimate struggle

When will it be acceptable to wear oversized sweats in public?

"Wow, I'm shocked to see you here!!!"

You hear from numerous people––every single time you go to a party or the bar.

Defending yourself when people give you shit for staying in all weekend

Leave me alone, okay!? ITS. MY. LIFE.

President Obama Surprised Joe Biden With the Presidential Medal of Freedom

The end of the Obama administration just keeps getting more emotional. As if the president's comforting farewell address wasn't enough to turn us into teary-eyed messes, President Obama awarded his final Presidential Medal of Freedom to none other than Joe Biden on Thursday in a touching tribute to his vice president.

According to the New York Times, the president surprised Biden by bringing he and his wife Jill into the White House's East Room for what the vice president was told was a private goodbye. Instead, Obama had organized a ceremony to present Biden with the honor and invited his closest friends, family and colleagues to the event.

As he presented the award, President Obama referred Vice President Biden his "brother," calling him an, "extraordinary man with an extraordinary career in public service."

"To know Joe Biden is to know love without pretense, service without self-regard, and to live life fully,” Obama said.

As he realized he was about to be given the highest civilian honor with distinction, Biden teared up, turning away form the audience before allowing himself to openly cry while the president hung the medal around his neck.

Those of us who are well-versed in our Obama-Biden bromance memes know that the president and vice president's relationship goes beyond simply a professional one - over their eight years in the While House together, it has become widely known that Obama and Biden are also very close friends. As Obama joked, "This also gives the internet one last chance to talk about our bromance."

All joking aside, it's nearly impossible to watch Obama's beautiful tribute to Biden without getting emotional. Watch a clip from the ceremony below:

After arresting 17 suspects earlier this week, French police are continuing to finally make some progress on Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery case. According to People, four of the suspects that were detained on Tuesday have officially been indicted.

The suspects, who are all male, are ages 64, 63, 44 and 27. The fourth and youngest suspect has been identified as the brother of Kim's Paris chauffeur, who was also arrested, but has not been indicted. The two oldest suspects are believed to be seasoned criminals and have been dubbed "grandfather robbers," by the French media due to their old age and alleged criminal history.

The four men have a multitude of charges against them, including conspiracy, helping arrange the resale of stolen jewelry, armed robbery, kidnapping and forceable confinement.

In addition to the four suspects that have been indicted, six others still remain in custody as police try to understand exactly who was involved and what their roles were in the robbery, which occurred while Kim was in Paris for fashion week back in October.

Since the incident, Kim has slowly and cautiously been stepping back into the spotlight, and according to Scott Disick's Instagram, she's currently living it up in Dubai with a "low key dinner" (read: not so low key) before she'll make her first public appearance since the robbery on Friday.

Michelle Obama Revealed the Real Reason Sasha Wasn't at the Farewell Address

If, like us, you were glued to the TV on Tuesday night while President Obama gave his final speech as President of the United States, then you'd have noticed that one half of the first daughter duo was absent from her father's farewell address. Luckily, Michelle Obama set the record straight on the Tonight Show last night about where Sasha actually was.

It turns out, in typical Obama fashion, Sasha had to miss out on the occasion because she had a science exam to take at school. Or as FLOTUS put it, "She had a final, and you know the Obamas, girl. Sorry. You're going to take your test. You can say goodbye later." So basically, we now have no vaild excuses left for skipping class.

The first lady also opened up to Jimmy Fallon about getting emotional at the farewell address - as you may have noticed, even Malia was a little watery-eyed.

"Oh yeah, she looked over at me," Obama said. "She says, 'I can't believe it. I'm going to cry through the whole speech,' and I was like 'That's okay! That's all right!'"

As for her own goodbye speech, the first lady brought back all our ~feels~ from watching her moving speech at the 2017 School of the Year Award last week as she talked about why she teared up while speaking at the event.

"Kids are my heart," she told Fallon. "When I think about the fact that some of them are afraid about what's to come, I don't want them to be afraid. I want them to embrace the future and know that the world is getting better. We have bumps in the road, we have ups and downs, but I want our kids to move forward."

Watch a clip below and join us as we collectively sob uncontrollably over the fact that she's leaving us:

Your Latte May Be Getting More Love Than Your Financial Future

As a young millennial, I've noticed some distinct differences when comparing myself to other generations. Older people seem more on top of it when it comes to finances and responsibility—or "adulting," as we like to call it. For them, nest eggs, 401ks and job stability are all words that instantly come to mind when planning for the future. On the other hand, newer generations seem to have shifted away from this norm of saving as their habits, job styles and priorities appear to be taking a different direction.

A recent USA Today article dives deeper into this trend, citing the results from a survey conducted by Survey Monkey and the microinvesting app Acorns. The study reveals a significant gap in millennial understanding of financial management. Notably, 45 percent of 18 to 23-year-olds and 35 percent of 24 to 35-year-olds report that they have spent more on coffee than they have on investing in retirement.

While spending a few bucks every morning on a cup of coffee might not seem like a big expense in the moment, you could actually save huge amounts of money just by skipping the Starbucks line. In one month, $100 could be donated. In eight months, you can purchase an iPhone 7 Plus at over $700. And most importantly, you could accumulate $46,000 over 10 years from investing regularly in a 401k.

According to Jacob Funk Kirkegaard of Peterson Institute for International Economics, millennials need to “drastically change their financial behaviors and start saving towards retirement" because they will likely not be able to rely on social security once they're in their 60s.

At the end of the day, it’s not about coffee, but rather, your priorities and the future. To help you out, here are a few things you can do to gradually get financially healthy: Take advantage of financial offers from your employer, get an automatic saving plan and set a simple budget. There are tons of apps that can help, like Mint, Goodbudget and Digit. You can do this! Your future self will thank you.

15 Life Lessons We Learned from 'The Lizzie McGuire Movie'

$

More than a decade ago, The Lizzie McGuire Movie graced us with Lizzie’s adorably awkward teen presence. After watching countless episodes of Lizzie McGuire on Disney Channel, feeling as though you were navigating the ups and downs of the tween/teen years with Lizzie, the time came for her to head off to Rome on a school trip with the dumb but dreamy Ethan Craft, cute and nerdy BFF Gordo and sassy “queen bee” Kate Sanders. Undeniably, our generation grew up with Lizzie and her friends. Packed with adventure, friendship and love, this movie had plenty of life lessons for us. Although Lizzie wasn’t on the popularity level of Kate Sanders, she did manage to impersonate an Italian pop star and become famous. It’s safe to say she had a few things going for her.

1. Its okay to trip your way through life

It comes as no surprise that Lizzie is a pretty clumsy person. Hand-eye coordination doesn’t come easily to everyone and our girl knows what it’s like to trip in front of an entire crowd of people…on national television. Embarrassing doesn’t begin to cover it, but all you need to do is get back up, dust yourself off and get on with it. This really can be applied to any aspect of our lives.

2. Face your fears and reap the benefits

Lizzie is seen at the beginning of the movie singing in her shower. It wasn’t until Lizzie was thrown on stage and forced to sing that she conquered her fear of singing in front of others. The audience loved her. No matter what you love to do, don’t let the fear of failure or inadequacy stop you from pursuing your passion.

3. On that note, don’t rely on a wishing fountain to make your dreams come true

Luck alone is not going to get you places. Hard work and dedication are what will see you through.

4. Heading to a foreign country with your best friend by your side is always a good idea

Gordo and Lizzie go together like peanut butter and jelly -- as do all besties. Naturally, traveling together makes perfect sense. With your other half by your side, you’re guaranteed adventures and plenty of stories to tell when you get back.

5. But make sure to actually spend time with your best friend

Lizzie told Gordo she would hang out with him in Rome, but ended up ditching him for Paolo (not her wisest move). It's good to branch out, meet and hang with other people; just don't forget about who's always been loyal during the process.

6. Don’t take advantage of a friend’s kindness

Or ditch them for pop stars. Although Gordo could’ve come up with a better excuse, it was wrong of Lizzie to leave Gordo covering for her every time she went out to see Paolo. Especially when that resulted in Miss Ungermeyer kicking him off the trip.

7. If you have the chance to travel, take it

Don’t hesitate -- seize any and all opportunities to travel. Life is definitely not meant to be lived in one place. Think of all the sights you’ll see, the people you could meet, the things another culture can teach you, and things you may learn about yourself. You’ll gain a whole new perspective. (And if an Italian woman offers you a wheel of cheese, don’t question it. Just take it.)

8. Believe in yourself

This may sound obvious, but it’s not always an easy thing to do. If you don’t believe in yourself, who will? You need to be your own best advocate as well as push yourself to pursue your interests. Lizzie always loved to sing but never thought she was any good at it. It wasn’t until Rome that she was coerced into getting on that stage and performing and saw that she was good enough to be there.

9. If opportunities come your way, take advantage of them

Lizzie didn’t think she’d achieve fame, impersonate a pop star or explore the eternal city on the back of a hot, Italian popstar’s moped, now did she? No matter what the opportunities are, whether they’re in your personal or professional life, you’ll never know where something could lead until you take the chance.

10. Don’t let the haters get to you

Or knock you down. Their words say a lot more about themselves than they do about you. Lizzie may have been an outfit repeater, but Kate Sanders is an outfit rememberer and that’s not somebody anyone wants to be. Enough said.

11. The right guy for you could be right under your nose

Funny, smart, trustworthy and reliable, everyone needs a Gordo in their life.

12. Put your trust in your best friend

Not some foreign, pretty boy named Paolo who only tells lies. Gordo always had Lizzie’s back. Your best friend knows you better than anyone. They have your best interests at heart.

13. That being said, don’t trust everything a guy tells you

Girls too. No matter the gender, or their seemingly harmless motives, anyone can have a hidden agenda and it’s always good to be cautious when you’re hanging out with strangers. After all, Paolo seemed like a great guy at first -- but he proved to us that people aren’t always how they seem.

14. “The tide is high but I’m holding on”

Aside from “What Dreams are Made Of,” this was one of the best songs in the whole movie. The message is universal. Sometimes life will get you down and things will happen that make you feel out of control. Lizzie ruined her middle school graduation and definitely did not anticipate going to Rome and becoming famous. So, it’s important to keep in mind that things can and will get better.

15. Looks and popularity are not everything

A turning point for Lizzie was when she realized the things she wanted didn’t do anything to improve her happiness. You can be pretty and popular and still be unhappy. These aren’t things that will do anything for your sense of well-being and can leave you feeling empty or disappointed.

Whether it was through time spent jamming out to “What Dreams are Made Of” or reminding yourself to keep your head up through “The Tide is High” this movie taught us that if you have believe in your abilities, trust your friends as well as your own intuition, you can and will go far.

Miley Cyrus' Birthday Message to Liam Hemsworth Proves They're Stronger Than Ever

This Friday the 13th is not such an unlucky day for one of our fave celebrity couples. Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth is ringing in his 27th birthday with a little help from Miley Cyrus. She posted the sweetest Instagram photo to wish him a wonderful day. You guys, she called him her favorite being. She called him her best friend since the day they met. And then of course she talked about animals, because it's Miley.

Liam and Miley are undoubtedly one of my favorite Hollywood couples. I mean, come on, the very first day they met on the set of The Last Song they had to do a kissing scene! They got engaged after three years of dating—and sure, they split for a little bit, but now they're back and sharing the ~cutest~ social media photos. They recently visited a children's hospital and had a cozy family Christmas, and I can't get over how adorable this new chapter of their relationship is.

Happy Birthday, Liam!
