We all love dressing up as our favorite TV characters for Halloween—but what sorts of funny and crazy costumes have our favorite TV characters come up with? Here are some of the best Halloween costumes we've seen TV characters rock.

1. Haley from Modern Family as Mother Teresa

Who ever said Mother Teresa couldn’t be sexy?

2. Zoe from Hart of Dixie as Cleopatra

Almost as stylish as Summer Roberts on The O.C.!

3. Ross from Friends as "Spudnik"

Get it? Spud?

4. Jess from New Girl as Ramona Quimby

This brings us back to our elementary school days!

5. Gloria from Modern Family as Fiona from Shrek

Joe Manganiello would make a pretty cute Shrek.

6. Leslie from Parks and Recreation as Princess Buttercup from The Princess Bride

Seriously, look at those hair twists. They’re killer.

7. Jo from Grey’s Anatomy as Tinkerbell

We hope she sprinkled some fairy dust on her patients that day!

8. Pam from The Office as Charlie Chaplin

When she takes off the hat, her costume looks ~very~ different.

Barbara Corcoran from 'Shark Tank' Says Donald Trump Compared Her Breast Size To His Wife

After a tape was released a few weeks ago of Presidential candidate Donald Trump discussing how he can do anything to women because he is “a star”, numerous women have come forward claiming that in fact, that is exactly what he did to them.

The most recent woman to face the media is Barbara Corcoran, one of the investors on ABC’s Shark Tank. According to Vulture, Corcoran recently sat down with CNN’s Erin Burnett and said that she had an extremely uncomfortable experience with Trump at a business meeting in the early 1990s. "I was pregnant with my first child at the time, and so was his second wife," she said to Burnett. "He compared my breast size to his wife by putting his hands in the air. I was in a business meeting! I was shocked ... I did think afterward, how would I have felt if I had been a young woman, not a successful businesswoman, and been in a situation like that? I would have felt very compromised."

When asked what she thinks about Trump claiming to never have done anything like this, she said that “I just think it's preposterous that he's claiming he's done nothing like that," when in fact, “He’s been that way, always.”

And based on the dozens of other women that have come forward, that statement is looking more and more accurate.

Girl Dressed as Patrick Star from the SpongeBob Squarepants Movie Wins Halloween

With Halloween tomorrow, it's no surprise that everyone and their mother spent the weekend in costumes going out and partying. But if you didn't notice, literally everyone either dressed as Harley Quinn or Eleven from Stranger Things. Not that those things aren't amazing, but Twitter star Sydney Merrill definitely wins for creativity.

Doesn’t this just make you want to scream the SpongeBob theme song?! I mean seriously, mic drop.

People Are Not Happy With Hillary Duff and Her Boyfriend's Halloween Costumes

With Chris Hemsworth recently apologizing for his politically incorrect Native American costume, you would think that celebrities, and everyone, really, would learn by now that there are some things that you just shouldn’t be for Halloween. Well, apparently singer Hillary Duff and her new boyfriend, Jason Walsh, didn’t get that memo.

According to Cosmopolitan, after photos of the couple at Cindy Crawford’s annual Casamigo Halloween Party on Friday night surfaced online, it’s safe to say that people were not happy with them.

Oy. Maybe next year people will finally get the message.

Since Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, many brands around the world are releasing the first images of their holiday collections. The newest brand to release a holiday inspired collection is Fendi, a brand that most celebrities wear on a daily basis. According to Elle, Fendi launched a collection with Saks in New York and Beverly Hills with 16 new items. And that's not all. Tracy Margolies, chief merchant of Saks Fifth Avenue, says that "We love the way Fendi always discovers new and exciting ways to engage their customers" so besides just releasing the actual collection, the two flagship stores will also feature some serious window displays with an appearance from Fendi’s mascots, Piro-Chan and Bug-Kun.

So although the collection is absolutely beautiful, you better get ready to shell out some serious cash because the items will range from $650 to $3,050, Elle reports. Check out some more items from the collection below and wish your savings a goodbye.

Face Mapping: What Your Acne is Telling You

$
0
0

Okay, let’s face it: breakouts blow. Not to mention, we get them at the worst possible times, like during our periods and when we're really stressed out. Darn those pesky uncontrollable hormones, right? Well, maybe not. Hormones can absolutely cause breakouts, but they aren't the only thing—it turns out that some acne can be attributed to underlying internal health problems, which, believe it or not, aren't impossible to uncover and alleviate! Face mapping is an alternative medicine practice that looks at where acne appears on your face and points out possible health issues that may be associated with your acne.

Now, don’t assume you have a serious health problem just because you get a pimple on your chin now and again. Face mapping isn't an exact science, so be sure to take it with a grain of salt! However, if your acne frequently appears in the same place, or you have chronic acne and no solution, it might help consider what those pimples might be telling you. To get you started, here are eight of the most common places for acne to appear and health problems that are associated with each location:

1. Forehead

Acne on your forehead is could be an indication that digestion is poor. Opt for water as often as possible, and reduce intake of caffeinated and overly processed drinks like soda. Water also helps flush out toxins and therefore aids in digestion, along with reducing overall fat intake.

2. T-zone

Acne on and around your nose has been said to be connected to your liver, so reduce your consumption of alcohol, processed food, greasy food and dairy products. Acne in the t-zone could also be your skin responding to a food allergy, so make sure your allergy tests are up-to-date!

3. Around the eyes

Girl, get hydrated! Skin around the eyes is supposedly linked to your kidneys, therefore anything from acne to dark circles in that area could be due to lack of water, according to Dermalogica (a well-known skincare brand that bases its treatments off of face mapping to diagnose and treat root causes of acne). Drink up!

4. Upper cheeks

According to Fitness Magazine, skin disorders on the top of your cheeks are linked to the lungs, which could be due to toxins from air pollution or smoking. Additionally, bacteria on objects that are constantly in contact with your face, such as your cell phone or makeup brushes, can also contribute to the problem.

5. Lower cheeks

Acne on your lower cheeks could be due to poor dental hygiene. It is usually attributed to problems with the gums, especially when they are inflamed on the inside, which could possibly be causing breakouts on the outside. Brushing and flossing daily, in addition to cutting out some sugary food and drinks, should take care of this problem.

6. Nose

If your nose is swollen, then your acne might have to do with high blood pressure. Changing up your diet by reducing sodium intake, avoiding energy drinks and eating more fruits and vegetables will lower your blood pressure may take care of it, although it may be worth visiting a doctor, as high blood pressure can be sign of other health problems. In an interview with Byrdie, Dr. Dan Hsu (a specialist in Eastern medicine) recommends reducing consumption of spicy food and meat,\ and swapping them out for fruits and veggies.

7. Ears

Like the eyes, the ears are also linked to kidneys, so if you are breaking out on your ears, it may be signaling dehydration. Be sure that you are drinking enough water and reducing your sodium intake!

8. Chin

Acne on or near your chin might be traced back to a hormonal imbalance, which can be caused by stress or menstruation. In the same Byrdie interview, Hsu suggests getting hormone levels tested, drinking spearmint tea and taking omega-3 supplements to take care of these breakouts.

There you have it, collegiettes. So much of our external health depends on our internal health, and skin is no exception. So the next time you have a huge breakout that just won’t disappear, try turning to your face map! That being said, it's important to remember not to self-diagnose if your acne gets worse, and instead, make a trip to see your doctor or dermatologist. Of course, following a healthy lifestyle never hurts and will likely leave you with softer, clearer skin regardless of face mapping's accuracy.

Halloween in College: Expectations vs. Reality

$

Crisp weather, innovative costume ideas, impressive decorations and amazing partiesHalloween sure is an unforgettable part of the college experience!  After being in school for a few months, it's the first major holiday that rolls around, so you're majorly pumped to get dressed up and have a great time! But sometimes that anticipation doesn't quite translate into real life.

Expectation

You have a master plan for an incredible costume that will grab everyone’s attention at that big party. You bookmarked all the websites where you can buy the costume components from, and you have ~very~ a specific picture in mind of what it will look like.

Reality

It's the day before Halloween and your costume (or lack thereof) is pretty much a massive failure. You ran out of funds and forgot about it entirely. Good luck finding something to wear in less than 24 hours.

Expectation

You’re going to carve the most impressive pumpkin art of all time. Every last detail will be intricately sculpted by your talent-blessed hand.

Reality

Halfway through you drop your pumpkin, and it lands in a mushy, hot mess. Not to mention you manage to cut your hand while carving. *Nervous laughter* Pumpkin pie, anyone?

Expectation

You buy some bags of candy to share as a Halloween gift with all of your besties. Of course, you'll keep a few of the mini chocolate bars to yourself for a snack later.

Reality

You end up eating the whole thing yourself in one sitting.

Expectation

You’re going to take your costume to the next level with that makeup tutorial you found on YouTube. How can this possibly go wrong? It's just makeup!

Reality

It turned out a bit differently than in the video...

Expectation

The temperature will be pretty neutral, so all you’ll need is a light sweater. It's October––how cold could it get?

Reality

By nightfall, it's mid December, and you're in a snowstorm.

Expectation

You came up with a really creative costume idea that everyone is going to freak about when they see it. HOW DID YOU THINK OF THAT? YOU'RE A GENUIS!

Reality

No one has any idea what you are. Kahleesi? Disney princess? Ghost?

Expectation

You've been invited to five costume parties, and there sadly isn't enough time to go to all of them. You're going to have to start telling some people you can't make it.

Reality

You end up having no plans at all, so it looks like it's just going to be you, some candy and Freeform's 13 Nights of Halloween. Can you say party for one?

10 Behind-the-Scenes Secrets Even Diehard 'Grey's Anatomy' Fans Don't Know

$

So we know you Grey's Anatomy fans *think* you know everything there is to know about the show, but the cast got together at EW PopFest to drop some secrets even the most diehard fans may not know.

1. Jessica Capshaw auditioned four times before she got a role on Grey's.

We're sure Jessica felt sad about not getting the roles of Nurse Rose and Sadie Harris at the time of her initial auditions, but we're happier that she nailed Arizona and stuck around for much, much longer than intended.

2. Ben was originally supposed to "do Bailey dirty."

Ben and Bailey shippers, watch out. Jason George revealed that his relationship with Bailey was meant to shake out a lot differently. Whew, bullet dodged.

3. Kelly McCreary thought Maggie's name was Claudette…for, like, a long time.

At first, Maggie's character was named Claudette to keep her identity a secret. It shouldn't surprise you that Shondaland likes to keep its secrets—even from its cast. So when Kelly showed up on set to play Claudette, she had to be filled in that her character was actually Maggie. Surprise!

4. Jessica's son told his school nurse that his mom is a doctor.

Okay, get ready to "awww!" Jessica's son got sick at school one day, and when Arizona's portrayer showed up to check on him, the school nurse was pleased to find his "doctor" mom is actually one of Grey's finest.

5. Sarah Drew is Jason's hero.

Jason and Sarah have worked through pretty much the toughest of circumstances together. While reminiscing on that excruiating birth scene he shot with Drew for the season 12 finale, George commended his scene partner for being such a trooper, even calling her his "hero." O. M. G. The sweetest.

6. Giacomo Gianniotti has major *series* finale teasers up his sleeve.

EW Editor-in-Chief Henry Goldblatt quizzed the cast about scenarios that have and have not happened on the show in a game of Grey's or Nay. When asked if the hospital has ever burned to the ground, Giacomo responded, "Nay." Correct. But he thinks that's something boss lady Shonda should save for the series finale. Spoiler alert: Everybody dies. He was kidding, right?

7. Scott Foley's head is the weirdest prop on set.

Years ago, when Scott Foley was on Grey's, a mock-up of his head was made. It still lives on the set and is sometimes used as a stand-in when an actor is not available. So, as Jason put it, if you know Scott, you're always like, "Hey, Scott Foley." We don't know about weird—sounds more like a dream come true to us.

8. Jerrika Hinton thinks Maggie and Stephanie should hook up.

This is Grey's Anatomy, so, of course, the discussion turned to hookups. Jerrika's pick for the next pairing? Maggie and Stephanie. We. Are. In.

9. The cast LOVES Scandal.

Every cast member is dying to play one of Shonda's stellar Scandal characters. Drunk Mellie, the president, just name it—they're game to step in should the show need a replacement.

10. Denny's death still stings.

It's ~really~ hard to rank the devastating deaths we've had to endure throughout this series' run. But Jessica is still heartbroken over Denny's death, one that occurred before she even joined the show. Same, girl. Same.

Find Out What's Next for Arizona, Maggie, DeLuca & Stephanie on 'Grey's Anatomy'

We went to EW PopFest's Three Rounds with the cast of Grey's Anatomy for the good times, laughs, an up-close-and-personal look at the cast and the BTS secrets we knew they were bound to spill. And they delivered on all accounts. But we also walked away with scoop about what's to come for four of our favorite characters.

EW Editor-in-Chief and Grey's superfan Henry Goldblatt got down to the nitty-gritty and asked the cast to describe their characters' upcoming arcs in three words.

For Giacomo Gianniotti's DeLuca, it's "trial, trial, trial," OBVI.

Kelly McCreary offered up "transition of power" for what lies ahead for Maggie. And Jerrika Hinton seconded that for Stephanie.

But by far our fave was Jessica Capshaw's answer. Arizona is letting loose and getting arrested. That's right—she will be "flirty, fun and incarcerated" in coming episodes. Now we're seriously intrigued.

Your guess is as good as ours for how this will all play out. One thing is for sure: we'll def be tuned in to watch it all happen.

How She Got There: Meghan Rosko, Owner and Founder of Nutmeg & Honeybee

Name: Meghan Rosko
Age: 21
Job Title and Description: Owner and Founder of Nutmeg & Honeybee, a dessert boutique
College Name/Major: West Chester University, Professional Studies Major
Website:nutmegandhoneybee.com
Instagram Handle: @nutmegandhoneybee

What does your current job entail? Is there such a thing as a typical day?

Meghan Rosko: A typical day for me is waking up and taking pictures of anything I baked the night before (so I have the best morning light), then I usually go to class for most of the day, come home and either bake for an order I have coming up or I bake for my website, and then I finally sit down to do some homework and prepare for the next day.

What is the best part of your job?

MR: I've found the best part of my job has been meeting and collaborating with other creatives. I met up with some of my Instagram friends in NYC a few months ago and felt so lucky to have a community of Girl Bosses who were extremely supportive of me and vice versa.

What inspired you to start Nutmeg and Honeybee?

MR: The inspiration for Nutmeg & Honeybee comes from my older brother. He passed away in August of 2014 and about a month after that, I started baking. I needed an escape from the pain, so baking became my life. I was baking everyday and using my creativity to feel whole again. The name Nutmeg & Honeybee is also extremely important to me because it's Meghan and Brendan (I used to call my brother "B", hence the honeybee) working on this business together. He inspires me everyday.

What is one mistake you made along the way and what did you learn from it?

MR: I've definitely made a lot of mistakes with my business and I'm sure I will continue to make some more. I've had some issues shipping cookies. Unfortunately, there is no exact reason why they break, but you can continue to create stronger packaging options and hope they arrive safely. I've ordered some new packaging options, so hopefully this helps the problem.

What has been the most surreal moment of your career thus far?

MR: I think the most surreal moment of my career was working with Julianne Hough. I've always admired her talent and style, so when I got the chance to contribute on her website, I was definitely freaking out!

What is it like baking for celebrities?

MR: I would have never imagined I would be baking for celebrities, but I have to say, it's been awesome! I've worked with Julianne Hough, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Witney Carson, Haylie Duff and even been featured on Kylie Jenner's Cosmetics page. Everyone has been so sweet and encouraging of my business, so I'm extremely grateful for each one of them.

What advice would you offer to a 20 something with similar aspirations?

MR: I think the most important advice I can give to a 20 something with similar aspirations would be to not fixate on fame. As a creator, everything you do should be authentic and real, rather than geared toward what may gain you more fame or popularity. If you stick to your brand and create something that perfectly matches your aesthetic, people will recognize that and follow you for you. Don't try to be something you're not.

What Your Halloween Costume Says About You

$
0
0

Boo! Are you ready for Halloween 2016, collegiettes? Whether your plans include attending a crazy party, hosting a scary movie marathon or participating in your school’s favorite Halloween tradition, you’re going to need a costume as awesome as you are.

And what message will your costume convey? You may not realize it, but what you dress up as on Halloween says a lot about you!

1. The Group Costume

You and your besties dress up as a group—how else will everyone know how undyingly devoted you are to one another? The group costume exists to send the message that you freakin’ love your best friends (and you don’t care who knows it!). So you whip out your best ‘90s gear as the Spice Girls, duct-tape yourselves into pseudo-iPhone dresses or go wild as zookeepers and animals.

If you’re going to look ridiculous, the group costume ensures that you don’t look ridiculous alone. You may be an individual on any other given day of the year, but Halloween is not that day.

2. The Pop Culture Icon

You have tabs on everything that goes on in Hollywood. Like, literal tabs. On your computer. At any given time, you have E!, Just Jared, Perez and People up on your screen, perusing the newest and most ridiculous celebrity news. You also host Oscar parties, tweet at Kim Kardashian regularly in hopes that she’ll respond and are genuinely pissed that Brad and Angie didn’t invite you when they tied the knot.

You’ll dress up as Kimmy Schmidt, Eleven from Stranger Things or Taylor Swift from her "Blank Space" video… and you’ll rock it!

3. The Really Intricate, Homemade Costume

You literally live for Halloween. Not only does it give you the chance to stretch your creative muscles and concoct a costume that everyone will be envious of, but it also means it’s time for your to start making your signature pumpkin cookies that everyone dies for. You start planning weeks (nay, months) in advance for the holiday, perusing Pinterest boards and selling items through your Etsy shop to raise funds for your endeavor.

Eventually, you decide on a costume. Mother Goose. Hermione Granger. Martha Stewart as Medusa. Each of these options speaks to your true self, the one you feel aligned with during the Halloween season. After knitting your entire outfit and making a few dozen cookies for your friends, you still have some time to spare. So you make another costume. Just in case.

4. The Couples Costume

It’s no surprise that you and your significant other are attached at the hip: You’re veritably obsessed with each other! No matter what party you end up at on Halloween, it’s a good bet that you and your SO will be matching in totally awesome costumes.

The obvious choice is to be Beyoncé and Jay Z. Or, wait, a better option may be Kim and Kanye. Don’t like the idea of dressing as celebrities? No problem. Matching costumes are just as cute. How about dressing up as Mickey and Minnie Mouse? Adorable!

Whatever you decide, everyone you run into will know that you and your SO are a C-O-U-P-L-E, and you don’t care who knows it. Even if matching costumes are kind of a punch in the face to your single friends, you don’t care. You and bae look super cute. Plus, there’s a fantastic Facebook profile pic in the works with a couple costume. Just wait; come November first, the likes will start rolling in.

5. The Punny Costume

You’re probably an English major, and you think that playing with words is basically the most hilarious thing ever. You’ll dress up as a “cereal killer” by splashing red paint across a Cheerios box and sticking it to your front, or you’ll cover your body in sponges, claiming to be “self-absorbed.” People usually don’t get your punny costume unless you explain it to them first, but that’s okay. It allows you the chance to show your intellectual superiority and wit.

You’ll go to a party for a total of 45 minutes before growing increasingly annoyed with the silly drunk kids running around like idiots, so after sipping on a glass of white wine at some guy’s cousin’s pregame, you’ll go home to read a book.

6. The Disney Princess

It’s a category all on its own because of its prevalence across college campuses all over the country. Collegiettes love dressing up as princesses (because we basically are royalty… right?), and those of the Disney variety are the crème de la crème.

If you dress up as Cinderella, Pocahontas or Belle, you’re probably an elementary ed major who is having a really hard time letting go of your childhood. Instead of pregaming, you’ll be microwaving chicken nuggets (you’re too scared to use a stove) and sipping on a Capri Sun. Your favorite dance songs are from musicals, obviously, and you count the dolls on your bed among your bestest of friends. You do you, girlfriend—as long as you’re in bed by midnight when the princess magic runs out.

7. The Black Cat

Chances are you’ll see approximately a million pointy-eared felines prowling Halloween parties across campus come October 31. And why shouldn’t you? Black cats strike the perfect balance between kinda eerie and super cute. If a kitty-cat is your purr-fect costume, then you probably like to play it safe when it comes to dressing up. It’s a costume that people are used to seeing, it doesn’t have much of a shock factor, and it can be dressed up all sexayyy if you so choose.

You feel like you’re participating in Halloween mostly because, well, it’s what you do in college, isn’t it? Your hesitancy shows through the lack of originality in your outfit choice. While your roomies have been planning their extravagant ensembles since before the semester even started, you started digging through your closet on October 30, hoping to come across a black dress that you could add ears and whiskers to. It’s okay that you aren’t super stoked about Halloween; just give it a chance and you may find that it’s, like, the best holiday ever. (For what you’ll morph into for next year, refer to #3.)

8. The Legitimately Scary Costume

Your idea of a perfect Halloween costume? Something bloody, gory and actually terrifying. You laugh in the face of those who have commercialized a day meant to inspire fear in the hearts of people everywhere, and you’re doing your part to bring the holiday back to its intended purpose.

You listen to Evanescence unironically, count American Horror Story as one of your favorite TV shows and read Gothic fiction for fun. These sources of inspiration lead you to dress up as a bloody undertaker or mass murderer. You think dressing as Charles Manson is totally appropriate and doesn’t cross any boundaries whatsoever. You also kill insects for fun.

What are you dressing up as for Halloween this year, collegiettes? Did we nail down what your costume says about the true you? Let us know in the comments below!

Why Losing My Acceptance to Business School Was the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me

$

I’ve always scoffed at the whole “what’s meant to be will be” cliché. In my mind, if you want something, you have to work for it. And that’s true to an extent. But have you ever noticed that when something you really wanted doesn’t work out, it ends up being for the best? You end up with some crazy opportunity you would have never had if Plan A were a success. That’s exactly what happened to me.

I busted my ass all through high school to get early acceptance into the most prestigious business school in Canada. I had it all planned out: I would start my undergrad with two years of English Lit, then I would enter business school and graduate after 5 years with both degrees. I still remember the day I got my acceptance; I ran around my house half screaming and half crying at 5 a.m. It was the proudest I’ve ever been of myself.

And then it all came crashing down. College was harder than I expected, assignments were piling up, I got broken up with by the love of my life and my grades slipped. I thought it was all over. My plan was in shambles around me. But there was still hope—still one year to get everything back on track. And I did…kind of. I got involved, volunteered and improved my grades. But it still wasn’t enough.

I still remember the day I got my rejection. I stared at it blankly for hours. But the feeling I got wasn’t what I had expected. Sure, the rejection stung, but more than anything, I was relieved. It was like I could finally release a breath I didn’t know I was holding. It’s funny how life works out like that. I thought business school was what I wanted, but it turns out it wasn’t for me.

I had been putting so much pressure on myself to get my grades up and build my resume that I forgot to consider what I actually wanted. It wasn’t about working towards a goal or a dream anymore; instead, I was just trying to prove to myself that it could be done.

So now I’m following a new plan: no plan. Yes, I have a strong idea of the direction I want to be pointing, but I’m not limiting myself to just one path. I’ve opened myself up to opportunities that I never would have considered if I’d gone to business school. And I’ve never been happier. It’s almost like I’ve been wandering around with a blindfold for the past three years, and I’ve finally taken it off.

Moral of the story:

1. Have dreams. Have goals. Make plans. But don’t limit yourself to one path.

2. Be open to change. Try new things and take every opportunity.

3. Put yourself out there. Apply for things, join clubs, start a blog. You’ll never know if you love something if you never try it.

4. Listen to yourself. If you feel like you’re heading down the wrong path, if you’re not happy with the things you’re doing, if you’re stress outweighs your passion, then do something about it. Take control of your own life.

5. Just live the life that you want to live. Work hard, have fun, and everything will work out – I promise.

Ever wonder what it’s like to be a VIP? Well, that’s exactly what happened to some of the web’s top tastemakers and InfluenceHer community members at this year’s College Fashion Week. From Boston to Los Angeles, we invited some of our favorite online ~celebs~ to the year’s most stylish event where they previewed the season’s hottest trends, enjoyed a girls’ night out, and more. Now, they’re filling you in on what it’s really like to attend CFW as a special guest. We’ll let Christina, who joined us at CFW’s kick-off in Boston, fill you in:

Hi guys — Last time I talked to you guys I was on my way to a College Fashion Week show with Her Campus and StyleWatch. The show started at 6pm at Space 57 but Her Campus had requested bloggers arrive at 5:45. When I got there I was surprised to see the line was wrapped around the building. My guests and I got to skip the line; I won’t lie we felt pretty darn cool. I was greeted by Her Campus with two amazing goodie bags and a drink ticket! Once we got into the venue there was delicious cupcakes and a candy bar that my friends took full advantage of.

Hanes Hosiery's Fall Collection

After I found my VIP seat my friends and I scoped out the sponsor booths. We got our brows touched up by European Wax Center, got drinks from Sparkling Ice, took fun photos, and got to view the newest collections from Bertha Watches and Maidenform and Hanes. The air was filled with excitement. Everyone was having fun and enjoying the night.

The Browfection Bar by European Wax Center

All of the models strutted down the runway in one of the best designer’s shoes, Vince Camuto. The best part of the show? All the models were everyday girls. They don’t normally walk the runway and it was great to see the smiles on their faces getting to live out their dreams.

Festival Style featuring Foray Collective's VICI, Rebecca Minkoff and Vince Camuto

Oh my goodness gracious- the goodie bags were great! I was excited to find a Rebecca Minkoff bag, a blow out gift card from Drybar, a Fitbit Flex 2 (which I have used everyday), Lacoste Perfume from Perfumania, a gorgeous nail polish from Essie,  coupons from Bertha Watches, a giftcard to European Wax Center, and tights from Hanes; All amazing, right?!

What You Need to Know About the New Emails the FBI is Looking At as Part of the Clinton Investigation

The story surrounding Hillary Clinton’s seemingly suspicious emails got even more complicated over the weekend. James Comey, director of the FBI, told a group of Congressional officials that yet more emails had been uncovered in relation to Clinton’s case, according to The New York Times.

This group of emails was discovered in the investigation of Anthony Weiner, a former New York Congressman who resigned from office after being exposed for inappropriate messages he sent to a number of individuals over Twitter. The emails were found on Weiner’s laptop, but were from the account of his wife Huma Abedin (the two announced their separation in late August), who is a top Clinton aide.

It turns out, though, that these new series of emails might not implicate Clinton at all. We just don't know. "Although the FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant, and I cannot predict how long it will take us to complete this additional work, I believe it is important to update your Committees about our efforts,” Comey stated in his brief address to the Congressional chairs. While The Wall Street Journal reports that the metadata on the emails showed that many may have been to or from the Clinton private server, investigators just got the search warrant necessary to read the emails. According to The New York Times, it could be that the emails are duplicates of messages the FBI has already seen, but they have to check.

While the Clinton campaign has not appeared to experience any significant impact since this news broke over the weekend, that didn’t stop Donald Trump from giving his two cents on Twitter and at several campaign stops.

The Journal reports that some 650,000 emails were discovered in this new case, and “it will take weeks, at a minimum, to determine whether those messages are work-related” and relevant to the previously conducted investigation of Clinton. However, the Times reports that the FBI says they will do whatever possible to get the review done by election day, as the stakes are so high. Comey himself might also face repercussions for disrupting the FBI’s neutrality in the presidential election—several Justice Department officials told him not to make the announcement about the new emails when the agency had so little information and it was so close to election day.

“The American people deserve to get the full and complete facts immediately...I’m confident whatever they are will not change the conclusion reached in July,” Clinton herself stated of the discovery. It seems unlikely that these emails will reveal any negative information about Clinton, but the fact that this story continues to be employed as a means to derail her campaign is significant.

The New Destiny's Child Instagram May Mean a Band Reunion Is Coming

2016 is the year of revivals and reunions, from Netflix's Fuller House to the upcoming Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life series. There may have been some major foreshadowing for reunions to come when a brand new Destiny's Child Instagram account was made this week.

Normally, we wouldn't be freaking out over some random account made to honor a '90s band, since the Internet is cluttered with fan accounts. But, this particular account has been verified by Sony's Legacy Records, meaning that it's a credible source of images and information.

So far, the account has only been used to post a few throwback pics of our favorite ladies, Beyoncé (arguably before she was the Beyoncé), Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams.

People have started speculating that the new account could mean a band reunion next year in honor of the 20th anniversary of the group forming. If that happens, this could be the only '90s reunion we literally can't handle. We'll have to wait and see if these rumors come true!

Khloe Kardashian Dropped a Truth Bomb About Interracial Dating

We're still getting social media silence from Kim Kardashian after her scary encounter with robbers in Paris, but her sister Khloe has stayed in the spotlight, making headlines this week for speaking up in support of interracial dating. We know, we can't believe this is still seen as controversial, but Khloe basically summed up all of our thoughts about it.

Khloe decided to share a fan's story that was posted on her khloewithak app and discussed a girl's experience in the South, where interracial relationships are often viewed negatively. The fan, Kelsey Wells, wrote, "I am a women who dates a man. Why can't it just be that simple?" Wells also mentioned that when people do look at her and her partner rudely, she ignores it, because "I know the man I love is HUMAN."

Khloe was in total agreement, saying, "I don't support racism or discrimination of any kind and I especially don't understand why people are still against interracial relationships...who the F cares anymore?"

Having been married to Lamar Odom and now dating basketball player Tristan Thompson, Khloe is a prime source for getting real about interracial relationships. She added, "It's so crazy because we're all human beings capable of love, so why does skin color have anything to do with it?"

We couldn't agree more with Khloe's explanation. Who's to say who you're supposed to love? Khloe made it clear that the decision is nobody's business but your own.
