Indecent Exposure Charges Dropped Against Arizona Football Player Who Exposed Himself in Yearbook Photo

According to NBC News, a high school teenager who exposed himself in a yearbook photo with the school's football team will no longer face charges. Hunter Osborn, 19, was arrested on Saturday and originally charged with 69 counts of misdemeanor indecent exposure, with the counts being totaled from the number of “victims” who posed in the picture. He was further charged with a felony of furnishing harmful items to minors.

The news came from the Maricopa County Attorney News Release, in which the county attorney announced they would not proceed with the felony charge, believing “the evidence does not establish a violation of the statute.”

People.com reports that the Osborn was dared to expose himself by another teammate. Support for him has poured in, even in a Change.org petition, which has called for other school administrators to take responsibility for publishing the photo in the yearbook, instead of making Osborn a “scapegoat.”

Rally Takes Place Over Racist Posters Found on BU Campus

Responding to racist neo-Nazi flyers that were placed around Boston University's campus this week, students held a protest Wednesday during which they changed phrases like, “Racist, sexist, anti-gay, Nazi supporters go away."

According to Metro, these heinous flyers included phrases like “The Nazis are coming!” and “Black Lives Don’t Matter!” The posters are currently being investigated by the school's police.

Upon seeing the racist propaganda on her school’s campus, Marlo Kalb created a Facebook event for a protest which quickly gained attention. According to The Daily Free Press, she was able to prompt over 50 people to join her in the rally, despite the rainy weather.

In addition to the use of signs and chanting, the protest included rounds of moving speeches that spoke out about the unacceptable nature of the posters.

“BU has a history as a politically active campus, especially during the Civil Rights Movement and on the issue of Apartheid," Kalb told The Daily Free Press. "The protest aimed to show racists and anti-Semitic groups that BU is still a place where students can fight back.”

Co-organizer of the protest, Negin Taleb, said in her speech, “This protest is about calling on students, faculty and administration to come together in solidarity with all oppressed groups who are subject to racism from white supremacists and neo-Nazis.”

It is clear that these students and the other protesters see this incident as a gateway for more racist and hateful acts to occur on campus and that they are determined to hinder any possibility of its continuation.

Directly after the incident occurred, BU President, Robert Brown, sent out an email explaining that the school’s police department is conducting an investigation and that if those behind the posters are BU-Affiliated members, the university will “take proper actions.”

Student Stabbed to Death on a University Campus in Georgia

Donnell M. Phelps, a freshman at Fort Valley State University was reportedly stabbed to death this Wednesday, after coming to the aid of three female women who were being harassed.

According to the Associated Press, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent J.T. Ricketson explained that Phelps got into a quarrel with the man, former student Joseph Anthony Scott, who was harassing the three women. Scott shortly pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed Phelps multiple times.

Phelps collapsed around 5 p.m when he began to run towards campus, after realizing the severity of his wounds.

During this same time, Scott was also running towards campus, but stopped and knocked on the door of a small security guard shack. When the security officer, Ernest Johnson, opened the door, Scott immediately stabbed him repeatedly.

Luckily, the school’s internship coordinator, Donavon Coley, witnessed this and was able to restrain Scott until the campus police arrived to take him into custody. Johnson was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from the injuries, although they were severe.

The AP explains that the GBI is still investigating the crime and that the authorities are currently in the process of filling two additional felony charges against Scott: aggravated assault and possession of a knife during a crime.

Fort Valley State’s President, Paul Jones, was quoted at the recent news conference saying, “We are just absolutely devastated. Words cannot describe the pain that we all feel in the Fort Valley State community.”

The school is determined to remain strong throughout this tragic time of loss. “We will focus on ensuring that our students and our campus community have the support they need," Jones said. "Please keep our entire campus in your thoughts and prayers.”

Phelps was loved by many on campus, especially by his mentor Archie Williams, who was quoted saying, "Donnell cared more about other people than he did about himself," in the university’s news release.

It's official: Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian are expecting their first child together! The couple, who announced their engagement only a month ago, have confirmed that Blac Chyna is pregnant with a Kardashian babe.

Fans first began speculating about the pregnancy when Chyna was seen leaving an OBGYN's office earlier this month. Rob confirmed the rumors earlier today when he posted a picture of Blac Chyna's emoji-doppelganger with a noticeable baby bump. The soon-to-be mother of two—reminder: Chyna shares a three-year-old son with ex/Kylie Jenner's current BF, Tyga—followed suit on her own Instagram.

With the news obviously came lots of hilarious and bizarre Twitter reactions.

All jokes aside, we wish the happy couple nothing but the best!

Harvard is Punishing Members of Final Clubs, Sororities and Fraternities

In what could be a win for gender equality, Harvard College is denouncing traditionally single-sex student organizations and imposing harsh sanctions on those who still wish to participate in them, The Harvard Crimson reports.

Harvard, which is concerned with the clubs' membership selection processes, announced Friday that it will bar all class of 2021 students and those following who choose to join single-sex final clubs (exclusive social organizations similar to fraternities and sororities) and Greek organizations from certain privileges. Members of these groups will not be allowed to hold campus leadership positions (such as those on athletic teams) or receive recommendations for post-graduate scholarships unless the organizations become co-ed, the Crimson reports. The members of these clubs make up about 30 percent of the College's student population, The New York Times reports.

In fall 2015, two historically male final clubs—the Spee Club and the Fox Club—both agreed to open admission to women, The New York Times reports. And Princeton University's eating clubs, which is a similar system to that of Harvard's final clubs, became coeducational in 1990.

“Although the fraternities, sororities, and final clubs are not formally recognized by the College, they play an unmistakable and growing role in student life, in many cases enacting forms of privilege and exclusion at odds with our deepest values,” University President Drew G. Faust wrote in an email to the Harvard community Friday. “The College cannot ignore these organizations if it is to advance our shared commitment to broadening opportunity and making Harvard a campus for all of its students.”

The announcement left room for greater sanctions to be imposed, the Crimson reports, including one similar to what actually happened at Amherst College in 2014—Students could be banned from being both a member of a single-sex social organization and a student at the College.

There's a PAC Dedicated to Keeping White Men Out of Office

Two white guys in Colorado started a committee to keep white guys out of office, Jezebel reports.

Trump would like you to repeat that. He didn't hear your "can you not..." the first time around.

The "Can You Not" political action committee (PAC) is actually dedicated to encouraging white men to support more diverse candidates (women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ candidates) and to refrain from believing they themselves should run for office.

The homepage of Can You Not's website sums it up:

"Can You Not PAC is a political action project that aims to dis/empower and dis/incline people in positions of privilege, specifically straight white men, from ambitions of running for office in progressive urban districts. We challenge brogressives and others to reject any notion that they are uniquely qualified or positioned to seek political office in districts that don’t need them. As well-represented white dudes, we feel it is our obligation to know when to shut up and Not."

The group, which started as a joke by founders Jack Teter and Kyle Huelsman, actually ended up raising $1,200 in a very short time and took off from there, New York Magazine reports. Oh, and if you haven't nailed down that summer internship yet, they're looking.

Times Top 100 Rankings Puts Harvard at the Top

The Times Higher Education has released its annual list of the top 100 universities in the world based on reputation. Once again, Harvard University took the number one spot. This was the sixth year in a row for the Cambridge, Massachusetts based school.

The U.S. did very well on the rankings, having 43 universities make the top 100. Just in the top 10, the U.S. had Harvard, MIT, Stanford, University of California at Berkeley, Princeton, Yale, Columbia and the California Institute of Technology.

Although the U.S.’s triumph in higher education came as little surprise, many people pointed out that schools from the UK, including Cambridge and Oxford, slipped down on the list. The two aforementioned universities were ranked in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Even though the schools remain in the top five, they are down from the second and third spots they held last year, according to Telegraph UK.

Similarly, the UK dropped from 12 to 10 universities in the top 100 this year. “The UK’s diminishing performance occurs as institutions in Asia rapidly rise up the table—the continent has 17 representatives, up from 10 last year,” said Phil Baty, the editor of the rankings, to the BBC.

“The UK will have to ensure that it can still draw in talent and investment from across the world and it does not lose its position at the heart of higher education’s global elite,” Baty said.

The Telegraph also reported that experts think a focus on diversity is hurting UK institutions. Alan Smithers, the director of the Centre for Education and Employment research at Buckingham University, told the Telegraph, “[Government’s] current policies are causing universities to take their eye off the ball of recruiting the best to comply with [its] demands to increase the proportions entering and graduating from state schools, ethnic minorities and postcodes, from which, in the past, few students have come.”

Business Standard also noted that despite Asia’s performance, no Indian university made the Times’ top 100 list. India is one of the few larger nations to never make the cut.

Baty explained that reputation indeed matters. “Reputation is the global currency of higher education. It may be subjective, it may not always be fair, but it matters deeply.” I mean, besides all those other things that actually matter when choosing a school, like if it’s the right fit for you, school size, how well they do in the program of your choice, etc. Not just whether they are internationally recognized as an elite institution.

Gilmore Girls fans have been debating about Rory's boyfriends for ages. Ultimately, all arguments about this beloved show come back to Dean vs. Jess vs. Logan. Audiences have spent countless hours swooning over all three of Rory's exes, but it's Logan who we're getting a first look at with his one-time lady love on the set of the Netflix revival.

Tanc Sade, who plays Life and Death Brigade member Finn, posted a selfie on Instagram that gave fans a sneak peak of the Rory-Logan reunion we have been waiting for.

The caption reads: "Chillin' with ‪#‎Rory‬ & ‪#‎Logan‬. Will they? Won't they? Hmmm."

Although we don't know what the nature of Rory and Logan's relationship will be in the reboot, we can't help but hope to see the pair share more than just small talk.

10 Things Only Double Majors Will Understand

We will never forget the day we sit in the advising office and made the decision to declare not only one -- but two majors (what were we thinking?!). Since then, your life has been a blur of homework and tests. If you have a double major, you'll relate to the following:

1. Planning is beyond necessary

2. Classes that overlap for requirements in both your majors are a godsend

3. Sometimes you forget one major when people ask

4. You’re more than used to people asking you why you’re doing it

5. Commitment is not exactly your thing

6. When it comes to that ages-old STEM vs. humanities debate, you might not have to pick a side

Or, you’re doubled up on one side of the argument

7. Asking you your favorite major is like asking a mom to pick which of her kids she loves more

But deep down, you know we all play favorites!

8.You basically live in your college’s advising office

9. Nothing is more exciting than a program that deals with both of your majors

10. Your major GPA has way more classes affecting it

This can be either a good or bad thing, though

12. Let’s try ______.

13. Do not put that in there. Ever. Unless I change my mind.

14. Can you brush your teeth first?

15. Come over, I’m horny.

16. I’m not in the mood tonight. Let's watch Netflix.

17. Can I borrow a sweatshirt?

18. And some toothpaste?

19. And your deodorant?

20. You look so hot with a little scruff.

27. F*ck, marry, kill: *insert three of your friends' names*

28. There’s something in your teeth.

29. Can we steal one of your roommate’s condoms?

30. I didn’t shave my legs, and you're going to be okay with that.

41. Did you just fart?

42. We’re not being exclusive, right?

43. You can sleep over if you want, but my room looks like it imploded and I don’t plan on cleaning it.

44. Don’t cut your hair. Please do not cut your hair.

45. Should I get my hair cut or nah?

What 5 Real College Women Actually Think About Kylie's Lip Products

Kylie Jenner seems to stir up a lot of controversy, and her lip kits are no exception. While some girls swear by them, others are unimpressed. We asked five college women for their opinions, and here's what they had to say:

"I haven't tried them and probably won't be donating any money to her by buying them. Why is she famous?! I heard they're made cheap and it's an ok product."

-Alexandria, UNC Greensboro Class of 2017

"I tried Kylie's lip gloss! It was okay; definitely not worth the price, which was about $22 including the shipping. I mostly bought the gloss because of the hype and the name brand, but the results were not worth it. I definitely will not purchase another Kylie gloss, but I might consider purchasing a lip kit if I hear good things from a close friend."

-Jen, Messiah College Class of 2016

"I want to try them but can't find them ever, and if you do find them they're crazy expensive!"

-Brittney, Grand Rapids Community College Class of 2017

"I ordered mine last week and I could not be more excited. Just the hype surrounding it was enough to make me want to buy one! I haven't tried it yet but it is something that I would spend money on, which I did."

-Isabel, NYU Class of 2018

"I love the colors she offers, but I don't feel comfortable paying so much for it if I can get something similar at the drugstore. I probably won't be buying them since I've heard the quality isn't great."

We're Disappointed With the Hate Old Navy Got for Featuring an Interracial Family

Old Navy came under fire last week after tweeting a campaign photo of a mixed-race family. The tweet was meant to advertise Old Navy’s ‘Thank You Event,’ in which customers could receive 30 percent off their purchases.

Unfortunately, some shoppers became enraged at the image of an interracial family and took to Twitter to voice their opinions.

The tweets ranged from “Absolutely disgusting. What’s next? Gender neutral bathrooms? Pedophilia acceptance propaganda?! Never shopping here again,” to “Old Navy HATES White babies! It takes a White mother and a White father to make a White baby. stop #White Geocide.”

Other shoppers even promised to stop shopping at the company if they continued to feature interracial families.

A number of tweets included the term “miscegenation,” which is defined as the interbreeding of people of different racial types.

"Stop promoting miscegenation or else I'm taking my $$$ elsewhere!!!" said another person.

These hateful responses hurt our hearts—but thankfully, not all of the reactions to the Tweet were negative. Hundreds of mixed-race couples responded to the negativity by posting photos of their own interracial families.

Families from across America joined in to support the campaign.

"Always nice to see a representation of a family that looks somewhat like ours. We'll forgive the dude. Thanks!" joked one family.

In addition to these statements across social media, Old Navy also recieved support from the adult models who are featured in the now-controversial ad.

"In light of the controversy around my pretend family... I am proud to be representing interracial love, multiculturalism, and most importantly, a mentality that supports opportunity for all ethnicities," wrote Grace Mahary, one of the models in the campaign.

Clay Pollini, who posed as Mahary's significant other, also took to Instagram to voice his support.

"I'm extremely proud to have taken part in a campaign that not only celebrates our nation's diversity, but also unites families with multicultural backgrounds and promotes love of all of kinds," Pollini wrote.

As for Old Navy, the company is standing by their decision and continues to receive support from families across the country.

Now, we're left to impatiently wonder what Harry looks like sans his long strands. Don't keep us waiting, H.

Taylor Swift Was The Highest Paid Musician of 2015

Billboard just announced the findings from its annual report, which ranks the top-earning musical artists of the past year, and unless you’ve been under a rock for the last twelve months, it won’t come as a surprise who took the #1 spot. The one and only Taylor Swift earned the distinction of being the highest paid musician of 2015.

In 2014, she was ranked 15th at $13.26 million; she skyrocketed to $73.5 million in 2015. The monumental spike in earnings can definitely be attributed to Swift's 1989 World Tour, which ran from May to December of 2015.

Even though Taylor is currently on a much deserved break, she is still killing it in the music industry (have you seen those Apple Music commercials?) and her personal life (we admire Tay's social media PDA with boyfriend Calvin Harris on the daily). It's safe to say that no matter what she does next she will continue to slay.

Taylor Swift & Gigi Hadid Were Almost Kicked Out of Coachella

While Taylor Swift is known for a number of things (her illustrious music career, her posse of equally beautiful and famous friends, her enviable relationship with Calvin Harris), it appears that she and Gigi Hadid are developing a reputation for knowing how to party hard. For Gigi’s 21st birthday, T. Swift and her supermodel BFF celebrated at Coachella. You probably already know this, but now we're getting some juicy new details about the soiree.

In an interview with an Australian radio station, Coachella performer DJ Flume claimed that his manager saw two girls dancing by the sound booth, not realizing it was Tay and Gigi: "These two girls came up and started dancing in front of him, like really full on. And he was like, 'I need to get these girls out of here,' so he went to ask them to move away from the sound booth and realized it was Taylor Swift and her friend, that Gigi Hadid girl. Their security guard went up to him and goes, 'You're not kicking them out.'"

Whoa, can you imagine seeing this go down? Apparently, no one can stop a Taylor/Gigi dance party.

6 Ways to Show off Your School Pride

Decision day is behind us! You now have a school to cheer on and love forever, even though you have to wait until fall to actually go there. But just because you have all summer until you leave doesn’t mean you can’t show your school spirit. Let people know which school you are going to by flaunting your pride. Show your school spirit as early as you want with these fun ways to rep your school while still at home!

1. Change your school supplies

Start showing off your school with your binders and writing utensils! Buy pens with your school’s insignia and binders in your college’s colors. “When I got my acceptance letter, I was so excited!” says Ashley, a student at the University of Puget Sound. “I bought everything maroon – I still do!”

Lots of stores sell school-specific merchandise that you can purchase online. And don’t forget to stick them in a cute backpack with your school’s mascot stitched on it!

2. Make your own dress-up day

Get a group of friends together and wear shirts from your university! You can even ask your high school administration if they’ll make it a school-wide event.

“My best friend and I go to the same college,” says Samantha, a student at the University of Michigan. “When we got in, we made a day of wearing our school shirts to tell everyone.”

This is a great way to show off which school you’re going to as well as allow you to see where everyone else is attending. Don’t forget to take pictures!

3. Have a fight-song battle with your friends

Time to bring out your competitive side with your fight song! Get your friends together and sing your respective fight songs, seeing who can sing it loudest and proudest. Now, when you go to games, you’ll know all the words!

“Learn your fight song before you come,” says Camryn, a University of Oregon student. “I went to my first football game and realized I had no idea what the words were. It was embarrassing.”

4. Change your ringtone

There’s no way to show off your school spirit like showing off how cool its fight song is! “Our fight song is really catchy,” says Anna, a student at New York University. “I noticed some other kids had changed their ringtone, and I did it too. Definitely a good choice, and I always catch people tapping along when I get calls.”

Skip the boring Top 40 tunes and represent your school with a unique and awesome ringtone. And when your phone rings, you’ll definitely know it’s yours!

5. Get your hashtags ready

Use Twitter and get involved! Find the social media accounts and hashtags for your graduating class and join in by tweeting about how excited you are to attend your school.

“Everyone is on Twitter,” says Farrah, a student at Occidental College. “My advice would be to follow your college’s Twitter because it’s a great place to stay updated.”

Some schools use certain hashtags when posting about school life, so make sure you check before tweeting. Post a selfie of you at orientation, tweet about classes you want to take and post about how much you love your school!

6. Put decals on everything

Buy school decals and put them on everything you can, like the walls in your room, your car, your parent’s car and all of the windows in your house. Make sure everyone knows where you’re going and how much you love your school by painting your town in decals!

“When I got into UPenn, I couldn’t believe it!” says Mindy, a University of Pennsylvania senior. “I put decals on my car [and] on my walls, and I gave some to my parents so they could decorate their offices.” Represent!

It is never too early to show off your school spirit, and with this list you can be the most spirited collegiette before you even enter your freshman year! Your enthusiasm for attending might even make your school one of the most spirited campuses. Now go show them how much you love your school, pre-collegiettes!

Adele Offered to Be This Couple's Surrogate After They Got Engaged at Her Concert

It turns out that like most people, Adele enjoys a good love story. Earlier this week, the singer paused her Copenhagen performance to ask a Swedish couple to join her on stage. Once on stage, André Söderberg spontaneously proposed to his partner, Simon Carlsson. After Carlsson accepted the proposal, the elated "Hello" singer extended an offer to be the couple's surrogate.

In true Adele fashion, she suggested, "Should I be your surrogate if you have children? I'd love to have a baby with someone Swedish."

As you may remember, this is not the first time Adele has helped a fan propose while on her 25 tour. Regardless of whether or not Adele actually plays surrogate for this happy couple, one thing is for sure—she certainly knows how to make her concerts memorable for fans.

Black University of Iowa Student Beaten in an Alleged Hate Crime

A student at the University of Iowa was beaten by a group of white men last Saturday night. Now, police and the university are saying they are investigating the report as a hate crime.

Marcus Owens, a 19-year-old freshman from Naperville, Ill., was beaten brutally after leaving a bar. The attackers? A group of white men who were yelling racial slurs at Owens, according to Reuters.

The Associated Press reported that Owens walked into the Iowa City Police Department after the attack. He told the police that he was walking in an alleyway near the bar when three white men of average height, about 19 to 22 years old, approached him and struck multiple times. Owens suffered damage to his eye socket, had his front teeth kicked out, and maintained an injury to his lip that required about a dozen stitches.

Apparently, Owens first went to the university to report the crime. As soon as they heard it happened downtown, they sent him to the police station rather than asking any further questions, according to The Gazette. They did not learn that the attack was a hate crime until the story had already circulated on media outlets. This is standard protocol for UI—but university president Bruce Harreld figured out this may not be the best technique for handling such crimes.

“We now recognize this as a failure in current UI protocol and will be working with many campus and community partners, including UIPD, to improve reporting mechanisms for the future,” Harreld told the Gazette. “The University of Iowa is working to create a climate of inclusion, and this hate crime demonstrates we have a great deal of work left to do.”

The University of Iowa, as of Fall 2015, enrolled about 30,000 students. Only three percent of these were African American students.

“I’m deeply concerned and saddened by the report that this was a hate crime,” Tom Rocklin, university vice president for student life, told the AP. “We want our students to feel safe on campus and we have student today who are not feeling safe.” Rocklin also expressed hope for criminal charges to be brought soon and the suspects to be found. They would face suspension and expulsion at UI.

According to Reuters, Owens’ uncle Darrell Owens seemed disturbed by the fact that the attack was a hate crime. “This is 2016. You shouldn’t expect this to happen.”

Students at UI took to Twitter to express their disgust with both the attack and how the university handled Owens’ report.

Let's hope the perpetrators of this attack are brought to justice.

Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Strangling Prom Date During Sex

Two years after his prom, Houston man Eddie Herrera was sentenced to 25 years in jail for the death of his prom date during their 2014 prom, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Herrera, 20, attended prom with 17-year-old Jacqueline Gomez. The two had consensual sex after drinking almost two bottles of whiskey as well as taking prescription drugs. During the sex, Gomez apparently asked Herrera to squeeze her neck.

The Houston Chronicle reports that prosecutors believe Herrera purposefully choked Gomez until she passed out, then woke up to find her dead. His defense team worked to convince the jury that Gomez died of an overdose, but their efforts fell short.
