Your Go-To Guide to Great Eyebrows

What do Lucy Hale, Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins have in common? Gorgeous eyebrows! Ask any makeup artist: Brows can make or break your face. Read on for grooming tips and how to deal with too-thin or overly bushy eyebrows. We talked to Baltimore-based makeup artist Rachel Lew for the lowdown on eyebrows.

1. Pick a shape

What’s the coolest, chicest way to do eyebrows these days? Keep them natural! “Most women tend to match best with their natural eyebrow shape, which is usually along the lines of naturally full and slightly arched,” Lew says. Translation: don’t fight your eyebrows! Where the hair tends to grow is probably a good look.

But, depending on your face shape, you may find a different shape looks better. “If you have a rounder face, you can get away with a stronger arch,” Lew says. “If you have a square face shape, stick with a softer arch. If you have an oval face, a medium arch will suit you.”

Not sure what shape your face is? Stand in front of a mirror, comb your hair back and get a good look at your hairline. Then, check out this guide to properly determine your face shape. When in doubt, though, keep what nature gave you and don’t worry too much about calculating exactly where the perfect arch should be.

2. Tweeze them

Feel free to cancel your waxing appointment. Unless you’re on Frida Kahlo’s level, quality tweezers will do just fine, since you’re just going to clean up what you already have.

“It's important to invest in a good quality tweezer; otherwise, you risk getting dull ends that make it difficult to pinpoint and pull out specific brow hairs,” Lew says. Lew recommends Tweezerman tweezers—their basic slant tweezer is $22 at Sephora.

Start by pulling out the hairs that are very obviously straying from the others far above or below your natural shape, as well as those and between your eyebrows (to avoid a unibrow). Then, go in and pluck around your natural shape. You probably already have an arch, but if you want to make it more defined, a good frame of reference is to put the arch above where the iris of your eye ends.

“Keep the shape clean, but don't over-tweeze them!” Lew warns. You’ll know you’ve over-tweezed if your brow hairs are sparse and you can see a lot of skin between hairs. To avoid this, Lew recommends not getting too close to the mirror. “Look at your entire face from time to time while you're tweezing,” she says. “If you're overdone it, no worries! You can fake it with a brow pencil until it grows back.”

3. Trim them (if you need to)

Super-bushy eyebrows may benefit from a slight trim. Lew recommends starting with a “spooley,” which is the word for the makeup brush that looks like a mascara wand, just without the mascara. Brush your brows upward toward your forehead. Then, if you see any hairs that extend far past the top of your eyebrow, trim them slightly with a pair of hair or eyebrow scissors.

This should be a last resort, though. Only trim if it’s absolutely necessary! “If you over-trim, your eyebrows can easily look uneven,” Lew says. Prevent this by just snipping off the tips of hairs that extend far past the spooley when you comb them toward your forehead.

4. Fill them in

This step definitely applies to those with naturally sparser eyebrows, but even girls with thick eyebrows can up the ante by filling theirs in a bit. That’s the key to the Cara look! First, “set your brows with a clear brow gel (or clear mascara!), which keeps your brow hairs in place,” Lew says. Lew suggests Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel ($22 at Sephora).

The next step you take depends on your natural eyebrow thickness. Girls with thin eyebrows, take note: Filling in your brows can either look super unnatural or very polished, so take caution. “The trick is to fill them in to make them look as natural as possible by using your existing eyebrow,” Lew says. “A brow powder is your best bet if you want natural-looking brows, but if you're looking for more definition, a pencil or brow gel will get the job done.”

Try Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow ($22 at Sephora) for a brow gel that’s super easy to apply since it has a built-in brush you can use directly on your brows. For brow pencils, Lew suggests tarte EmphasEYES High Definition Eyebrow Pencil ($20 at Sephora) for its precise tip. For thicker, more intensely colored brows, Lew recommends Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade ($18 at Sephora). Apply it in light, feathery strokes.

Lew suggests picking a gel or pencil color that’s slightly lighter than your natural hair or eyebrow color. “For example, if you have dark brown hair, you want to use taupe or a medium brown to fill in your brows,” she says. If you decide to keep it super subtle, use a powder and then “use thin, feathery strokes with a brow brush (find one a with a fine tip) to fill in your brows,” Lew says. Want to be a bit darker and dramatic à la Lily Collins? Pick a pencil or gel and use the same motion—thin, feathery strokes. The last thing you want is to look like you just colored in the lines with a crayon! Finish your look with some eyeliner to complement your bold brows.

Cool, sexy brows take a bit more work than going completely au naturel, but if you keep them in shape and fill them in a bit, you might be surprised by how much your eyebrows define and brighten your face!

5 Recipes to Last the Workweek

Graduating from college means your days of getting free, unlimited meals with the swipe of your student ID card are gone—and the days of paying for your food with a different kind of plastic are here. But spending half your paycheck eating out or ordering in every night is totally unsustainable, which means it’s time to up your cooking game. After an eight-plus-hour work day, though, putting on that apron is the last thing you want to do, even if you’re using the easiest of recipes.

Fortunately, we have a solution for you! Now is the time to put your weekends to good use and spend your Sunday making meals that will last you the entire rest of your week. Here are five recipes (each of which you can make in big servings!) that will make great leftovers to feed you all week long.

1. Pasta with tomato sauce

How can you go wrong with a bowl of pasta? This homemade red sauce recipe is delicious and healthy, and it makes enough for 2 pounds of pasta—which means one night of cooking will go a long way. Even though a homemade recipe will take longer than to make than it would to heat up a premade sauce, you can make tons in one go and freeze the leftovers, which will stay good for months. All you have to do is thaw as needed, add any fresh herbs or meat, reheat and eat!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cans Tuttorosso Italian Style Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 carrot (peeled)
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pack sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon of fresh basil or oregano
  • 2 pounds of pasta (of your choice)

Directions:

  1. Pour the crushed tomatoes into a pot and cook on low heat (with no cover).
  2. Peel the carrot and cut it into chunks.
  3. Pour some olive oil, the chopped onion and carrot chunks into a medium-sized pan and cook on medium heat.
  4. Sauté the onion to flavor the oil. Once the onion turns brown, take it out of the oil with a spoon and dispose.
  5. When the sauce begins to boil, place the oil and carrot chunks from the medium pan into the pot of boiling sauce.
  6. As the sauce cooks, add salt, sugar and basil or oregano.
  7. Mix the sauce every 10 minutes. Don’t forget this step because otherwise the sauce will stick to the bottom of the pot.
  8. Cook for 1.5 to 2 hours until sauce is thick to your liking.
  9. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  10. Once finished, serve over pasta and eat.

2. Bean salad

Bean salad is a satisfying and healthy dish that can be used in many different ways. You can put it in a sandwich or on tacos, or you can eat it plain as a main lunch course. This recipe is so easy that it doesn’t even need directions—just toss the ingredients below and serve. You can even store the beans (without the other ingredients) in a Ziploc bag in your freezer to eat another day. When you’re ready to use them, you can defrost them in the microwave and add them to whatever you’re making.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can cannellini beans (1 pound)
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • Half of a red onion, chopped
  • Cherry tomatoes (cut in halves)
  • 1/2 of a lemon, squeezed
  • 2 leaves parsley, chopped

3. Pizza

For lunch, dinner or a late-night snack, pizza never fails to satisfy your taste buds. You can eat it for leftovers throughout the week, or you can prepare a few to freeze so when you get home from a long workday you can just toss the already-prepared pizza into the oven.

Ingredients:

Note: Dough must be taken out of refrigerator to sit for about three hours before cooking.

  • Pizza dough (buy at the supermarket or local pasta bakery/pasta shop)
  • Crisco (vegetable shortening)
  • 1 can Tuttorosso Italian Style Peeled Plum Shaped Tomatoes
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Garlic salt
  • Oregano
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Any other toppings of your choosing (sausage, peppers, mushrooms, etc.)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium-sized rimmed pan (which will help make sure the pizza does not splatter all over your oven), spread Crisco to prevent the dough from sticking. Then, place the dough in the middle of the pan.
  3. With both of your hands, knead the dough across the pan and into the corners. Start in the middle and work your way outwards, using only your fingers and the top of your palm. Make sure not to play with the dough too much—use little motions.
  4. Once the pizza dough is spread evenly, use a fork to poke the dough. This helps the pizza “breathe” a little.
  5. Then, take a tomato and remove the seeds out by opening up the tomato with your hands. Use around five to six tomatoes, depending on how much sauce you like on your pizzas.
  6. Sprinkle oregano all over the pizza; two to three pinches are the perfect amount. Repeat with garlic salt and regular black pepper as well.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Again, use as much as you prefer.
  8. Lastly, drizzle olive oil over the pizza. Make sure to get the crust, too so it will come out deliciously crispy!
  9. After you’re done prepping the pizza, let it sit for half an hour to let the dough rise. Then, put the pan in the oven and cook for about 20 to 30 minutes.

4. Chili con carne

Home-cooked chili is an essential dish that you can rely on for hearty meals all week long. As the nights get colder, nothing is better than a warm bowl of chili for dinner.

Recipe adapted from Taste of Home

Ingredients:

  • 5 pounds beef brisket, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 3 yellow onions, chopped
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 1/8 cup garlic, minced (2 cloves)
  • 2 red bell peppers, cored, seeded and chopped
  • 2 yellow bell peppers, cored, seeded and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 28-ounce cans of whole peeled plum tomatoes in puree
  • ¼ cup basil leaves, minced
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Pat the brisket cubes dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat the oil and brown the meat on all sides.
  4. With a spoon, transfer the brisket to a separate bowl and set aside.
  5. Sauté the onion and garlic in the same oil for about 10 minutes (until limp, but not brown).
  6. Add the bell peppers, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper and salt and cook for 1 minute.
  7. Crush the tomatoes by hand (or in a food processor if you have one).
  8. Add tomatoes to the pot with the basil.
  9. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  10. Serve with chopped onions, diced tomato, tortilla chips, grated cheddar and sour cream.

5. Veggie stir-fry

As much as you may want to, you really shouldn’t go a week without some greens. Luckily, a stir-fry is an easy way to get those veggies in. If veggies served alone doesn’t appeal to you, toss the stir-fry over rice for dinner or eat it as a healthy complement to your main protein dish at lunch.

Recipe from Food Network

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 celery ribs
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Black pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Heat canola oil in large frying pan or wok (if you have one).
  2. Soak broccoli in water. Steam wet broccoli, covered, for 4 to 5 minutes.
  3. Add celery, mushrooms, garlic, soy sauce and ginger.
  4. Sauté uncovered for about 5 minutes, depending how soft or crunchy you want your veggies (go longer if you like them softer).
  5. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Serve over rice or with soy sauce and chow mein noodles.

Planning and preparing any or all of these recipes on Sunday will save you time and money during your never-ending workweek. Knowing that you have meals ready to eat when you get home lets you enjoy your free time instead of stressing about what you’re going to cook after work or how much you’re going to spend on takeout. Now that you have the recipes you need to be a master of the kitchen, all you have to do is get cookin’!

Cute Pajamas to Lounge in this Thanksgiving

There are a lot of reasons to love Thanksgiving break. For starters, there’s the great food, (finally) getting to sleep in, and... yes, wearing pajamas all day long sans judgement. Just because you're planning on staying in your PJs all day doesn't mean you don't want to look cute, though. We’ve put together a handy guide on what to wear this break when you're just hanging out at home. In between sleepovers with friends and movie nights with relatives, you’ll look chic and—more importantly—stay totally cozy.

1. Classic Stripes

A striped pajama set is perfect for the holiday season, especially because there are so many colors to choose from. We especially love this Forever 21 Candy Striped Pajama Set ($24.80)—the lavender is so pretty!

2. Sporty-chic

For comfort you can move in, every sporty girl should wear a pajama set like this. These fitted J. Crew Whisper Jersey Drapey Sweatpant in Stripe ($55) are simple and cute. Pair them with your favorite sports tee and you’ll be ready for all the Thanksgiving Day football games.

3. Printed

This paisley Sweet Dreams Sleep Pants ($68) and Shirt ($68) from Anthropologie are a fun twist on the classic pajama set. Bonus: The bright colors and busy print will successfully hide that food baby (babies?) when your post-dinner coma hits full-force.

4. Borrowed from the boys

In the iconic film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Audrey Hepburn is seen going to bed in a boyfriend-style button down shirt. Emulate a modern-day Audrey with a long nightshirt. With this Victoria's Secret Cotton Mayfair Sleepshirt ($39.50), you can stop raiding your boyfriend's closet... just for now that is.

5. Vintage-inspired

Love the 1960s? So do we. Get vintage vibes with Anthropologie's Love Stories Framboise Sleep Shirt ($55) and Shorts ($35). The calico-printed top and striped bottoms give off a cute Mad Men-esque look.

6. Graphic

If you want something more casual, try Forever 21's Forever French PJ Set. The best part of a graphic style PJ is that it’s totally transformable—you can even pair the top with a pair of jeans for a day out catching up with hometown friends!

7. Plaid

Plaid is one of the biggest trends this season, so show off your impeccable style in your sleepwear, too! Grab some hot cocoa, curl up by the fireplace and put on these H&M Flannel Pajamas ($34.95) to stay cozy during your break.

Which PJs will you be lounging around in while you're home for Thanksgiving break?

20 Things That Are Only Socially Acceptable in College

Some say college is the best four years of your life.

The freedom, the fun, the close proximity to all your friends… How could it get any better?

But, believe it or not, real life is nothing like college.

In fact, there are a lot of things you do during your time in college that are just not considered socially acceptable in the real world.

For example, in the real world, you can’t eat this for dinner every night:

And you definitely can’t order more takeout when you’re still hungry a few hours later.

There’s only so much longer you can keep that “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster hanging above your bed.

Or any posters, for that matter.

Your days of sleeping in a twin bed are limited.

Eating all your meals in bed won't be acceptable after college, either.

You won't sleep in the same room as your best friend.

Once you enter the real world, you can’t spend hours on your laptop watching Netflix and YouTube videos anymore,

or sleep until noon every day.

No more trying to go as long as you can without washing your clothes,

or using dry shampoo instead of showering.

A time will come when you can no longer pay with everything using pocket change,

or do your grocery shopping at the local drug store.

Purchasing $1 draft beers: not an acceptable thing to do at a bar when you’re no longer in college.

Same goes for going to the kind of establishments that would even offer $1 draft beers.

This? Not an appropriate outfit for going out after college.

Even if it’s a special occasion.

Drinking games are no longer something you’ll be playing at parties.

You won’t be able to serve your future party guests drinks out of these:

And you definitely won't be able to serve them anything that comes out of one of these:

Parties, in general, will simply not resemble anything like this after college:

We guess you’ll just have to get over your post-college blues by wearing your old college apparel every day.

Oh, wait… apparently it’s not socially acceptable to do that after college either.

Why You Shouldn’t Worry if You’ve Never Dated Anyone

$

0

Dancing to “Single Ladies” might make you feel better about your current relationship status, but that doesn’t mean seeing happy couples all over campus doesn’t make you feel bad sometimes. Sure, there’s the freedom that comes with being single, but it can also take a toll on your self-esteem. However, there is so much more in life than just being in a relationship!

We had Carole Lieberman, M.D., Beverly Hills psychiatrist and author, weigh in on why never having dated anyone is no big deal.

You don’t have to feel like an outcast

It’s normal to feel like a bit of an outsider if all your friends have had relationships while you’re still single, but don’t let it get you down! You don’t need a relationship just because your friends have one.

“Sometimes it may seem as though the world is built for pairs – from the animals walking onto Noah's Ark to the couples waiting in line at the movies,” Dr. Lieberman says. “As frustrating as this may be, you shouldn't feel like an outcast if you've never been in a relationship. Your time will come.”

Erum Salam, a junior at Texas A&M University, says, “Even though I used to feel like a single loser around some of my girlfriends and their boyfriends, I now know that I'm just someone who thinks carefully about who I let into my life.”

There’s no need to feel different for not having a significant other in your life right now. Just because you’ve never been in a relationship doesn’t mean you never will be.

It’s okay to wait for “the one”

When it comes to your love life, patience is key. You don’t want to rush into anything if you’re not ready. “Although romance seems easy on TV shows and in movies, the path to true love is often filled with land mines in real life,” Dr. Lieberman says. “It is better to be patient until you find a guy who is worthy of your love.”  Waiting for the right person doesn’t mean you’re too picky; it just means you know what’s right for you.

“I have yet to meet a guy with the same ambition and a shared outlook on life,” Erum says. “I’m confident I will meet him someday, and I'm in no rush to find him.” If you’ve set your own personal standards, stick with them! You’ll meet that person who fulfills every quality you’re looking for.

Having other priorities is important

Focusing on your future is not a lame reason for being single; in fact, it’s totally legit. Just look at Elle Woods! Not only did she become successful without a significant other, she found someone after she had a better sense of what direction her life was going in.

“Instead of spending your days and nights worrying about why Mr. Seemingly Right isn't asking you out or whether you will ever find true love, focus on making the most of other opportunities, such as doing well in school, planning for your career, volunteering, making friends and indulging in fun sports or hobbies,” Dr. Lieberman says.

Kathryne Davis, a recent graduate of SUNY Oswego, says her priority is her future. “I wasn't ready in high school and during college; I was trying to handle living on my own, plus trying to work hard in school,” she says. “I'm more focused on trying to figure out a career at this point in my life.” When you have a better idea of who you are and what you want from life, you tend to attract the right people.

Remember that there’s nothing wrong with you

It’s important not to blame yourself for never having dated anyone before.  “I used to think something was wrong with me, but now I realize I have standards and priorities,” Erum says.

Remember that you’re not doing anything wrong. In fact, you probably have a long list of qualities someone is looking for; you just haven’t met that person yet.

As Dr. Lieberman explains, “It is not your fault that dating and finding love has become harder than it used to be. Just make yourself the best you can be, from your appearance to creating a successful and exciting life. When you are happiest with yourself, you will attract others to you.”

So, you’re single—who cares? You’re living your life for you, and there’s nothing more important than that. Don’t let people tell you that you’re too picky or bitter, or that you’re destined to become a crazy cat lady. Love yourself first, and the right person will drop into your life when you least expect it. In the meantime, enjoy being independent!

Real Live College Guy: We Kissed & Now He’s Distant

We all need a little guidance now and then, so whether you’re stressed about a fling gone wrong, a recently wrecked relationship or how to handle a stage-five clinger, Real Live College Guy Dale is here to help you navigate the college dating scene.

I became really close friends with this guy at school. We would study for biology together, go get froyo with his roommate and just hang out a lot. At first I didn't think much of it, but then I started to have feelings for him. A couple of weeks ago, I started to fall asleep in his room and we would cuddle constantly. He even stayed up with me to watch the Blood Moon. A couple of days ago, he kissed me for the first time, but since then, he's been a little more distant. I kissed him again, but he really didn't seem to respond to it. I don't know if I should continue what we've been doing or go back to everything being platonic. What should I do? –Feelings for a Friend at Fordham

Fordham,

Ahhh, the Blood Moon… is that what kids are doing for romance these days?

I’m kidding, of course, but in all honesty, your situation isn’t that uncommon in the collegiate realm. Sometimes we do things and regret them. Sometimes we kiss someone and just don’t feel the fireworks. Sometimes making out with a friend is a really, really bad idea.

Of course, I have to admit that I’m a little confused. He didn’t respond to it? What exactly counts as a response? Was he supposed to kiss you harder? Was he supposed to stare deeply into your eyes and whisper sweet nothings to you? Look, Fordham, I love a good kiss as much as anyone else, but sometimes a kiss is just a kiss. It’s totally possible for a kiss to just take place and not impact the course of history.

Him “not responding” to your kiss doesn’t tell me that he’s not interested in you. It doesn’t really tell me anything, really. Add in other things like him not talking to you as much, you two not hanging out like you used to, him just straight-up ignoring you… then I could tell you that he’s not interested in you like that.

And even if he’s not interested in you like that, what can you do? Sometimes you just have to accept it and move forward. Given what you've told me, I can't say for certain if the guy is still into you, but if I had to make an assumption, I'd say that he just didn't feel what he thought he was going to feel when he kissed you.

If, on the fifty-fifty chance that he didn’t feel that physical chemistry with you, it’s likely that he just doesn’t want to ruin your friendship and doesn’t know how to communicate that lack of connection without hurting you. I mean, hey, you may not even be hurt by it, but he doesn’t know that for sure. For all he knows, you might be devastated by this news!

From this point, you have to figure out if this whole thing is worth chasing. If you really like this guy, ask him what's going on. We can't read your mind. At the same time, he can't expect you to read his mind, so if he's not feeling anything, then he needs to be a little more upfront about it. It's tricky, but all this situation needs is a little bit of communication.

Until he gives you a definitive sign of being uninterested, my suggestion is to just carry on. The guy might just react differently to kisses than you and me.

The 11 Stages of Shopping on Black Friday

There's no other American cultural phenomenon like Black Friday; it’s absolutely crazy but fascinating at the same time. You may judge others for participating, but you know you're going to partake in some shape or form, because you just can't miss out. Here’s a general rundown of how the night-turned-day goes for many eager shoppers.

1. Failing to wake up at the time you had planned

Your aim is to improve upon last year's spree, so you make a game plan to wake up super early so that you'll be one of the first people in the store. But Friday rolls around, and when you open your eyes, you realize you overslept an hour past the initial time you desired.

2. Uncontrollable excitement

It's 5 a.m. (or earlier, if you're extra ambitious), and you can't wait any longer to leave your house and head over to the mall. You have your shopping shoes on and you're ready to take on anything the day has in store.

3. The highly anticipated arrival

You made sure to arrive earlier than you did last year, but parking is already a nightmare and there's a massive crowd hovering all around the store entrances. Guess your idea wasn't that clever after all.

4. Coffee

You run to Starbucks with 15 minutes left to spare before the stores unlock their doors, thinking there's enough time to get your caffeine fix. Too bad you can't even make out the end of the line.

5. The moment the stores open

You turn to your friends and your faces light up with joy. The moment you've been waiting for all year is finally here. Charge!

6. Fearing for your life

Once the gates to heaven (or hell) are open, you file in with the rest of the stampede. It's exciting, but frightening. For just a moment, you question what possessed you to partake in such a crazy occasion.

7. Going overboard

But then the fear quickly passes. You become so overwhelmed with excitement that you don't bother looking at the prices or sale signs; you just begin to snatch everything within arm's reach of you.

8. Realizing you need to put some things back

Your heart wants it all, but your brain is telling you to put some things back. You probably don't need that H&M sweater in all five colors, and despite them being $8, there's probably no way those chevron pants will ever look cute.

9. Learning how much you saved

When you get to checkout, you start to worry about how much this is all going to cost, but then the total turns out to be so much better than expected, making the craziness worth it.

10. Feeling the onset of exhaustion

A number of stores later, your friends are still going strong, but you're clearly running out of steam. You're starting to space out and act delirious.

11. Returning home

Ahh - your bed has never looked so inviting. Before you even get the chance to take off your shoes, you face-plant into your sheets. Nobody sees you for another two days, during which time you're recovering.

5 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Stress About College Admissions

You are going to be fine.

Whether you’re still trying to finish your applications or you’re going through pints of Ben & Jerry’s as you wait to hear back from colleges, right now you’re probably feeling like biting your nails till they’re gone or running away to hide in a bear cave (or doing whatever it is you do to deal with stress). We collegiettes have all been where you are now, and we can assure you that you will make it out alive. Eventually, you’ll end up fine. Or better than fine.

Here are just a few reasons why there’s no need to panic.

1. You’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing.

As you click “submit” on your application, you wonder if all of those hours spent taking and re-taking the SATs, writing your personal statement and filling out forms will have been worth it. Maybe you feel a little dead inside.

Let’s not think of this feeling as “stress.” Let’s refer to your college-admission-related nerves as “apprehension.” Or perhaps “concern.”  It’s actually very good that you’re feeling this. No, it’s not a pleasant feeling, but it’s good that you feel so invested in this. Your concern means you’re doing something that matters to you.

Your concern means you want to get into college and further your education. This might sound cheesy, but your concern is your strength. Sure, this concern might keep you up at night, or make you want to shut out the world and marathon-watch Pretty Little Liars. But that concern comes from an internal drive to challenge yourself, to learn and to grow. You think what you’re doing is important, and because it matters to you, you’re going to pull through.

2. Where you go to school is not a measure of your character.

We want to say that where you go doesn’t matter, but that’s not entirely true. If you hate winter, don’t apply to safety schools in upstate New York. If you love crowds, you might feel stifled at a school with 200 undergrads. Beyond that, though, if a school is a decent fit, it doesn’t really matter where you go or where you get accepted.

If you don’t get accepted to Harvard, it doesn’t mean the admissions people there don’t think you’re good enough. It simply means that everyone and their cat applies to Harvard, and only a few can get in. After a point, getting into competitive schools is simply a matter of luck. Besides, you might find that a highly ranked school is not the best place for you.

“I don’t understand why you need to go to an Ivy League just because it’s an Ivy League,” says Patricia, a senior at University of Rochester.  “Prestige is not as important as a good fit.”

It doesn’t matter where you go, but what you do while you’re there does.

Remember, Rory Gilmore from Gilmore Girls didn’t get into her top choice school, but she was able to make do with what she had. If Rory had gone to Harvard, she never would have started dating Logan or taken over her school newspaper. Okay, we know—boo hoo, she had to make do with going to Yale. But she wouldn’t have succeeded there if she wasn’t smart, hardworking and resourceful.

3. You have other things to focus on.

Your awesome collegiate experiences are still months away. Right now you can take advantage of your awesome high school experiences. Even in the midst of apprehension and concern, you can find comfort by focusing on the little things that will stick with you when you start college. “I miss climbing the trees outside of my high school,” says Ashleigh, a senior at the University of Rochester.

Laugh too loud when you joke with your friends during lunch, and absorb the bittersweet joy of senior celebrations. Take a walk at dusk and enjoy the feeling of being home. Find serenity wherever you can.

4. You’re going to love college.

You probably don’t hear this enough, but all of the hassle of getting teacher recommendations, signing up for the SAT and working on the common app will be worth it. College is a lot of fun. You have the chance to structure your time and make your own choices. If you want to eat cookies for breakfast one morning, your mom won’t be there to shake her head “no” (but we don’t recommend that as an everyday thing). You can take crazy classes and meet awesome people. You’re surrounded by people your own age, so there’s always something to do. You can dance all night with an attractive stranger or go stargazing at 2 a.m.

Maybe you’re thinking, “Well, yeah, if I get into ‘Oh My God I Want to Go Here So Bad’ University, then of course I’ll love college. But what if my top choice rejects me?” It’s natural to be concerned about not getting into your top choice—or getting into your top choice and not being able to afford it. It’s frustrating. We get this. But you’ve put a lot of effort into your applications, so even if you don’t get into your first choice school, you’re going to end up somewhere great.

Once you start getting involved in college life and meeting new people, you won’t even think about your dream school anymore, because you’ll be too busy enjoying your gorgeous window view from your dorm, your a cappella friends and your beloved gender studies professor. You’ll have a new dream school. “I can’t imagine my life without my roommate and our inside jokes,” says Ashleigh. But if you really can’t find yourself at home wherever you end up, remember that transferring is an option.

We confess that not everyone is made for college. You might discover that you’re one of those people. You’ll have a hard time, but at least you’ll discover something about yourself. Knowing what you don’t like helps you figure out what you do like.

But honestly, chances are you’ll love college.

5. You won’t remember being stressed.

A quick caveat: if you let your stress define your high school experience, then yes, you will remember it. However, if you’re spending your time going on adventures with friends, trying out photography and participating in senior year traditions, then you’ll probably remember those things first.

At some point, maybe a month or two into your freshman year of college, you’ll be walking across campus in the evening, thinking about a new friend you made or the dress you’ll wear to tonight’s party, and you’ll feel a breeze. You’ll look up at the orange and pink sky. Even though the night is approaching, the campus lights will keep the buildings and trees around you illuminated. You’ll take a deep breath. Know what you won’t be thinking?

I wish I had scored better on the SATs.”

I wonder if I could’ve gone to an Ivy if I had taken more AP classes.”

Was my common app essay good enough?”

Certainly not, “Wow, I still feel really stressed about college admissions.”

You’ll just feel at home.

You’re going to be fine. In fact, you already are.

Holiday Dress Inspiration from the AMAs Red Carpet

The American Music Awards are never short of memorable moments—from Taylor Swift’s sassy performance of “Blank Space,” to Selena Gomez’s emotional performance of “The Heart Wants What it Wants,” to Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj killing it onstage with “Bang Bang"—it’s pretty safe to say 2014 was no exception. This year though, the best moments happened when celebs took to the red carpet to show off their style creds. The strapless, floor-length gowns typical of the red carpet were replaced by bolder, more edgy looks—and we’re loving it. Below, we’ve picked out four of our favorite celeb looks from the 2014 AMA’s and are showing you ways you can steal their look for the holiday party season for way less. Get ready for some major inspo for edging up your holiday party look this season!

1. Rita Ora

Rita Ora’s bright yellow Zac Posen dress was one of the more dramatic choices on the American Music Awards red carpet, but she rocked this bold choice with killer confidence. We especially love the trumpet shape and train, which add elegance to the bright yellow hue. Want to stand out against a sea of red at holiday parties? To copy her look, we love a skater dress shape (basically the shortened version of Rita’s look!) in the same bright yellow hue.

Skater Dress in Cross Hatch Texture ($56.85 at ASOS)

2. Taylor Swift

Before taking to the stage to give one of the AMA’s most talked-about performances, Taylor stunned on the red carpet in a gorgeous green cutout look by Michael Kors. We love the edgy, fashion-forward vibe we’re getting from this look, especially since T-Swift is usually known for her ultra-feminine red carpet looks. To get her look for the holiday season, try a dress in a more jewel-green hue with smaller cutouts so that it’s still totally appropriate for that Christmas party with the fam.

Faux Leather Trim Skater Dress ($28.99 atCharlotte Russe)

3. Megan Trainor

The “All About That Bass” singer looked classic and sweet in a Ted Baker LBD with a flirty lace top and sleeves. We love the way she added a cheeky pop of color to her all black look with her lips-shaped clutch. Need the perfect dress to pair with your fun statement accessories for holiday parties? Take a cue from Megan and keep it simple and sweet in this similar black lace shift from Forever 21, the perfect piece to dress up with bright statement-making heels or a fun bag like Megan’s.

Floral Lace Shift Dress ($22.90 at Forever 21)

4. Nicki Minaj

Like T-Swift, Nicki Minaj also went for the cutout trend in a cool black and red Alexander Wang dress. We’re loving the on-trend sporty vibe we’re getting from her look. To try Nicki’s cool cutouts for yourself, look for a skater-shaped dress in basic black with flattering side cutouts at the waist, like this one from boohoo. Pair it with black accessories, like Nicki, or add a pop of color with colorful shoes or a statement necklace. Either way, this on-trend cutout shape ensures you’ll make a bold statement at holiday parties this season.

We love the way these celebs took some major risks on the red carpet at this year’s AMAs. Do you have a favorite look from this year’s red carpet, collegiettes?

6 Interview Phrases Employers Are Tired of Hearing

$

Making it to the interview stage of a job search is definitely something to be proud of. You put so much effort into fine-tuning your resume and cover letter, and clearly it was worth it! But hold off on any premature celebrations, since the upcoming interview is an even bigger hurdle to jump over. The interview is your opportunity to let your personality shine, so don’t let yourself down!

There are clear blunders you want to avoid, like arriving late or pronouncing the employer’s name wrong, but there’s something else that can easily trip you up: delivering the same old, empty phrases everyone’s heard before. We talked with two career counseling experts about these phrases and how you should fix them, so take note and you’ll be on the road to landing the job!

1. “I’m a hard worker.”

You probably have good intentions if you use this phrase, but ultimately, it falls flat unless you back it up.

“Rather than use a really common phrase like this, give specific examples of instances that show you worked hard,” says Patricia Antonelli, the associate director of career counseling and programs at Boston University’s Center for Career Development.

When you bring in a past example, be sure to pick one that will really impress the employer. “You don’t want to mention how you are good at following directions and getting things done on time, because being a hard worker doesn’t mean you just got done what was expected of you,” says Suzanne Dagger, director of career development and assessment at Hofstra University’s Career Center. “It means you’ve gone above and beyond to do something greater than what you were asked.”

This would be the perfect opportunity to bring up how you climbed your way up to the position of editor at your school newspaper by spending that extra time to thoroughly report your stories. Similarly, you could bring up those few weeks at your summer internship when you arrived early every day in order to get a project done quicker so you could take on extra tasks.

2. “I’m very flexible.”

You’re flexible—like you’re an ace at gymnastics? Really though, a vague statement like this won’t do you much good. This type of statement could cause a misunderstanding between you and the employer: Maybe you’re referring to your willingness to take on new tasks, and the employer is thinking you’re flexible about your potential salary or hours. Be specific about what you mean!

Antonelli suggests bringing up a past instance to back up this statement. “Maybe during an internship, you were asked to stay late and work on a project they needed extra hands with,” Antonelli says. “An example like this is the perfect type to bring up if you want to prove your adaptability.”

Aside from showing your flexibility in terms of taking on extra work hours, you might also want to mention an instance when you were given a new task that you were unfamiliar with but eager to learn about. Employers will be delighted by your willingness to try new things.

3. “I’m highly qualified for this position.”

While you may in fact be highly qualified for the position, it’s really up to the employer to decide how good of a fit you are, so try not to come off as if you’re doing the employer’s job for him or her. Rather than definitively saying that you’re qualified, prove it by explaining why you want the job and what skills you can bring to the table.

Dagger says the best way to prove your qualifications is by bringing up past work experiences and explaining why they’re relevant. “Before you go in to the interview, ask yourself, ‘If I were the hiring manager, what skills would I be looking for?’ and make a list of them,” Dagger says. “Then, take that list and ask yourself how you got those skills, and think of anecdotes to use as proof.”

If the job description lists being a quick learner as a required qualification, think back to a moment that best demonstrates how fast you can take on new tasks. Perhaps at an internship you were asked to fill the position of someone else at the very last minute, and you had to quickly learn the ropes in order to successfully complete his or her tasks.

4. “Like” and “um”

Okay, so these aren’t exactly phrases that relate to the skills you want to show off, but they’re words you want to avoid repeating over and over. Naturally, many of us feel extremely nervous during interviews, and that can lead to us injecting filler language into the conversation. Repeating words like these may not necessarily ruin your chances of getting the job, but they sure can be distracting.

Antonelli says you may always be nervous, but you can “try your best to avoid using words like ‘um’ by practicing beforehand, since you can never have too much interview practice.” Many schools’ career centers offer mock interviews, and you can even find free tools online that simulate an interview. If the tool involves recording what you say, you can listen to your responses and see what words you’re repeating too often.

Even just practicing with a friend and recording your voice on your cell phone can help, according to Dagger, who also believes practice is the best solution to reducing filler language. “If your awareness of potential interview questions is high, then you should have a high awareness of what you want to say,” she says. “So if you have an idea in your mind of how to answer, you won’t be grasping as hard for ideas in the interview.”

5. “I really admire (company name).”

By the time you’ve made it to the interview, it should be a given that you show interest in the company—otherwise, why are you applying? Of course it’s important to praise the company, but you don’t need to say it in such a formulaic way that employers can see right through it.

“You need to be able to give some concrete examples if you want the employer to truly see that you’re interested in the company,” Antonelli says. “You want to do your research beforehand and find something unique you like about the organization without regurgitating all of the latest company news.”

Once you set your interview date, take some time to thoroughly research the company, which entails more than just reading the “About” page of its website. Take a look at the company’s social media pages to find out not only what the brand is all about, but also to see what the latest news may be. Who knows? The employer may even ask you if there’s a recent project you’re especially interested in.

While you want to mention anything about the company that caught your eye, refrain from making any criticisms. You want to praise the company, not bash it! To make yourself stand out even more, research other industry competitors and bring up something this company does that the others don’t.

6. “Awesome” or “you know?”

Casual language can impact how an employer perceives you. Antonelli says that words like “awesome” almost naturally come out because we use them so often with our friends in a casual environment. “Even if the employer is more laid-back and might even be using slang, you still want to stick with the more professional side,” Antonelli says.

When an employer is doing the talking, perhaps when she’s describing the position more in-depth, and there’s a brief pause in the conversation, you may feel the need to respond. This is where you might subconsciously pipe in with a “sweet” or “nice!” Instead, Dagger advises using full sentences and saying something more along the lines of, “That sounds great to me.”

When it comes to using statements like, “you know?” the question-like tone makes it seem as though you’re unsure of yourself. “A lot of us have a tendency to end statements with ‘you know?’ and it makes you come off as unconfident, which is something you never want to happen in an interview,” Dagger says.  Again, practicing being interviewed is a great way to see if you have this tendency and be mindful of it when the real thing happens.

Just the thought of having to talk about yourself to potential employers may make you cringe, but don’t get too anxious! Use our tips to steer clear of these dreaded phrases, and you’ll be able to prove to the employer how amazing you really are.

5 Reasons He Won’t Commit

$
0
0

We’ve all been there: You meet a cute guy and everything is going perfectly. You text each other all day long, he walks you to class and you’ve met each other’s friends. But just when you’re ready to officially call him your boyfriend, he starts backing off. What gives?!

Now, before you start complaining to all of your friends about what a D-bag he is, read this. We spoke to some college boys and Scot McKay, the CEO and founder of dating company X&Y Communications, about what’s REALLY going on. Believe it or not, there are some valid reasons why the guy you’ve got your eye on has commitment issues!

1. He’s haunted by his ex-girlfriend

Ladies, we aren’t the only ones who have had bad experiences in relationships, nor are we the only ones to long for our exes months after we’ve broken up.

Chris, a recent graduate of Rider University, says his old relationship has held him back from new relationships, due to “still liking her, the mistrust I'll have for the new person and fear of rejection.”

Then there are the guys who are reluctant to start a relationship because an ex left them scarred. “In my last relationship, my girlfriend was extremely clingy. It got to the point where she didn’t even want to let me have an hour to myself,” says Stephen, a senior at Rutgers University. “Now that the relationship is over, I still have that memory in the back of my head, and I fear it would happen again.”

Don’t fear though, collegiettes; McKay says that “if you view a new person through the lens of the past, that's myopic and a bit immature.” If you are the right girl to change this boy’s ways, he’ll know! Show him that you care by letting him share his feelings about his past. It’s no fun to hear him talk about other girls, we know, but by listening to him and showing him you can take it, you are showing him your maturity. Plus, you’ll learn what his ex-girlfriend did wrong, and you can assure him that you’re not like that!

2. He doesn’t want to be tied down

No matter how great you are, boys will be boys, and some just don’t want to be tied down. “College is my time to experiment and have fun––I don’t want all my memories of college to be the same as my memories when I’m 50,” says Mark, a junior from Michigan State University. “Even if I meet a great girl, I want to have fun with her, but I can’t promise to be with just her.”

It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you and it doesn’t mean the guy is a jerk––he just isn’t ready to settle down. Even if he has feelings for you, he may not be ready for a relationship.

“It’s messed up, but I actually broke up with my college girlfriend because I felt like I was missing out on all the fun my single friends were having,” says Alex, a recent graduate of the University of Delaware. “She was great, but I have my whole life to settle down with one girl.” If a guy has this mentality, the last thing you want to do is cling to him. Have fun with him, but keep your options open as well!

3.  He feels pressured

In a college boy’s mind, “boyfriend” is often a terrifying word. The dreaded label can create unnecessary pressure for a guy.

“I feel like girls have been only interested in the title of ‘boyfriend/girlfriend,’ and that’s a big turnoff,” says Patrick, a recent graduate of West Chester University. If you are constantly asking your guy to clarify what you are to each other, it could push him further away.

Matthew, a student at the University of Virginia, says, “I once was seeing a girl that asked me after only a few weeks when we could be ‘Facebook official.’ It turned me off from her completely––I’m not going to date a girl that is using me just to make herself look cool on social media!”

If a guy feels as if you are expecting too much out of the relationship, it makes the situation too serious. This doesn’t mean all guys are terrified of labels. “The ‘label’ issue goes away magically when the right person comes along... believe me,” McKay says. Don’t pressure him about it––he might come to the decision of wanting a label all on his own.

4. He just wants a physical relationship

So you’ve been hooking up with a guy and you’ve become emotionally attached. He doesn’t seem to be making any further moves––and unfortunately, it isn’t likely that he will.

“He feels as if he'd be settling were he to end up with her, but doesn't want to give up the regular sex while he's waiting for a better option to come along,” McKay says. “For obvious reasons, he's NEVER going to tell her this.”

Generally speaking, once guys start hooking up with a girl, that can become all they want. “If there's a physical attraction, that may be all he wants,” says Chris. “If you feel like you can't tell them things you would to a girlfriend, that's a reason to keep it strictly sexual.”

This doesn’t mean that friends-with-benefits situations never result in something more. But in college, if a guy seems to be keeping things physical, it’s probably exactly the way he wants it. If you want more than that, start looking for a guy who wants to take you out to dinner––not just to the bedroom.

5. He’s just not that into you

Remember that scene in He’s Just Not That Into You when Gigi is over-analyzing every move of her date to figure out why she didn’t get a call, and Alex bluntly stated those six jaw-dropping words? Unfortunately, they’re likely true if a guy isn’t making any moves.

Ashley*, a senior at Hofstra University, chased the same guy around for almost four years. “I tried everything I could to get him to like me, and I finally came to the realization one day that he is just never going to,” she says. “Once I accepted that and truly started to move on, I got a sense of happiness I never felt in all of those years trying to make him commit to me. We’re still friends to this day!”

So what if he still doesn’t like you? That’s completely his loss, and although sometimes we collegiettes forget it, we DO deserve somebody who will make us feel special, and not someone who we have to change for. It doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you if this guy doesn’t want to commit, it just means someone else out there is more right for you.

Trying to figure out what is going on in a boy’s head is one of the most confusing parts of college. If he’s not willing to commit, it’s not necessarily that he’s just a jerk; guys have issues too, just like we do. Who knew?

You’ve stuffed your face with turkey, and now it’s time to take on the fashion tornado that is Black Friday. This chic chaos is not for the weak—only the most committed and prepared fashionistas will be able to battle the crowds and stay focused enough to scoop up the best deals. We’ve thought your outfit through from head to toe, so you can focus on what really matters—your wardrobe's next additions.

The top: Deep V-Neck Sweater, $13.80 from Forever 21

This is a great layer. It will keep you warm under a jacket outside, but is thin enough to comfortably wear inside. Add a cami underneath so you can slip it off if the store is overheated from the crowds—or if you want to try something on without waiting in line for the fitting rooms.

Why You Shouldn’t Worry if You’ve Never Dated Anyone

It’s safe to say that most of us have a love/hate relationship with exercise. We want the perfect beach bod, but we also want to lay on the couch eating pizza and watching movies all day. The struggle is all too real. But there is no other physical activity we have more mixed emotions about than running. Here are every girl’s thoughts when going on a run.

1. “What a beautiful day it is. Maybe I’ll go for a run.”

2. “Oh, good - I can finally put these extremely expensive running shoes to good use.”

3. "Do I have enough layers on? What if I get cold?"

4. “This isn’t so bad. Why don’t I run more often?”

5. "I THINK I'M DYING OF A HEAT STROKE. I didn't know it was possible to produce this much sweat."

6. “Why is there a hill here? Who in their right mind thought it’d be a good idea to put a hill here?”

7. “I don’t think I can breathe.”

8. “My legs hate me. They’re about to just give out; I know it.”

9. "I'm definitely almost done. I've easily been running for 30 minutes..."

10. "WHAT?! I only left 10 minutes ago?!"

11. “Am I dying? Is this what it feels like to die?”

12. “Flat land. There is a god.”

13. "This is my jam! Let's go! I'm unstoppable."

14. "Wait, why is Josh Groban on my running playlist...?"

15. “Is it over yet?”

16. "Is anyone looking? No one will notice if I take a quick walking break, right?"

17. "Oh, shoot - another runner. I should wave. Am I even capable of smiling right now?"

18. “Note to self: I hate running.”

19. "I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Time to sprint. I've got this!"

20. “Maybe that wasn’t as bad as I thought it was… I guess that’s why they call it runner’s high.”

21. *Next time running* "Lol jkthis is horrible."

5 Ways to Get Back on Track After Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving break is a magical time of food, football and fun. After you’ve gorged on casserole and slept off the turkey coma, it’s easy to wallow in the fridge of leftovers and elastic pants. But it’s important to get back on track with healthy eating after the day of splurging and stuffing, especially before the stress of finals hits you. Getting back on track is easy with these five simple steps.

1. Remember your goals

After stuffing your face for a few days at home, it can be easy to throw in the towel and forget about your health goals for the remainder of the semester. But just because you indulged doesn't mean it’s impossible to get back on track!

After you get back to school after Thanksgiving, make a list of small, manageable health goals for the next week ahead. Don’t pressure yourself into upping your gym routine to impossible heights—the little efforts count too. For example, pledge that you’ll nix dessert for five days out of the next week, or that you’ll do an extra 10 minutes of cardio three days of the next week.

“For me, it's about not losing sight of your goals during the holiday season,” says Nikki Stoudt, a senior at North Carolina State University. That way, you have no regrets and no problems getting back your motivation. So take your holiday with no self-hate, and remember that it’s never too late to get back into the game.

2. Portion your leftovers

Of course you don’t want to turn down the leftovers your mom is sending you back to school with—you can’t say no to Aunt Jenny’s pumpkin pie. But it’s important to portion out your leftovers.

Separate the food into meal- or snack-sized containers so you aren’t tempted to eat all of it in one sitting. Consider using this plate method while planning out meals to keep your portion sizes are in check: fill one half of your plate with veggies, one fourth with lean protein (like turkey) and one fourth with a healthy carbohydrate. Also, only bring three or four meals back to school with you instead of an entire fridge-full.

3. Banish the booze

After a hearty diet of carbs, one of the easiest ways to cut back on calories is to eliminate excess drinking. One beer has 154 calories—which is basically half a slice of pumpkin pie (323 calories for a full slice). Cutting out drinking when you first return to school is a great way to rebalance your caloric intake and avoid weight gain.  It will also keep you from feeling sluggish, giving you the energy to recharge and hit the gym (or the library, since finals are creeping up).

If you do end up drinking, check out our list of the 10 highest- and lowest-calorie drinks so that you can make healthier choices and know what to watch out for.

4. Detox

It’s easy to only want to come back to school armed with pie, but make sure to bring back greens, too. Salad, kale, broccoli or whatever else you enjoy are great options.  After a carb overload, load up on veggies and fruits and cut back on carbs and sweets and get out of the food coma rut. Swap out fruit juices and other sugary drinks for water, and make sure you’re drinking plenty of it.

Cutting salt from your diet will definitely help fight the bulge, so the more you can prepare your own meals instead of dining out, the better off you’ll be. Also, try to add foods high in potassium into your diet. They flush out excess sodium, helping you to flatten your stomach. Bananas are a great source of potassium. Mix them into smoothies, yogurt or oatmeal for a healthy meal or snack.

5. Accept the holiday

Don’t spend the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas beating yourself up. Let it go. You indulged, you enjoyed—and it’s okay. Getting back on track isn’t any easier if you’re mad at yourself. You need to think back on Thanksgiving and smile, but then prepare yourself to make adjustments to return to a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Once you get back on track, it’ll be easy to phase into your normal diet and lifestyle. It’s not a bad time to get a head start on New Year’s resolutions andget to the gym after Thanksgiving. Get back on a balanced meal schedule and sleep schedule before finals and just be thankful that winter break is only a few weeks away!
