The 11 Things You Forgot You Were Obsessed With In 2009

0
0

Instagram feeds are flooding with posts of pictures from 2009 vs. 2019 and it’s a very humbling trip down memory lane for all. Known as the #10YearChallenge, everyone from your middle school crush to Chrissy Teigen are taking part in the viral trend–and, yes, the glow ups are real.

It’s both hilarious and amazing when you remember that “TyPiNg LiKe ThIs WaS CoOl~” or that you so desperately wanted to live your best GTL life with Bumpits. After all, times were simpler when your hardest decision was whether you were #TeamJacob or #TeamEdward. I rounded up 11 of the weirdest yet most amazing things from 2009 you were once obsessed with. You can thank me later, but for now get ready for a wave of nostalgia (or regret).

1. Planking

Before there was the “In My Feelings” Challenge, there was this. Planking was the social phenomenon, and it was nearly impossible to walk into a room and not see someone in position.

2. The 2009 VMAs

From Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi performance to Kanye interrupting T-Swift’s “Best Music Video” Award acceptance, the 2009 VMA’s were hard to get through.

3. Quotes on photos

Forget VSCO or whatever editing app you might use, it was all about Picnik in 2009. Nothing said cool like an overly edited photo with quotes all over it with your bestie.

4. Camera mirror selfies with the flash

Before iPhones were the only obvious way to get a profile pic, you could probably be found in your middle school locker room snapping a mirror selfie.

5. Jersey Shore

2009 was the premiere of the show that gave us “GTL” and “DTF” Jersey Shore.

6. Twilight

Although the movie technically came out in 2008, Twilhards were out and about in '09, especially when New Moon hit theaters—which added to the Team Edward or Team Jacob debate. I mean, Edward left Bella, so how could we not swoon over a shirtless Jacob?

7. Shutter Shades- AKA Kanye Glasses

Nothing like shutting out the haterz back in the day with some shutter shades.

8. Scene Bangs

Rawr xD. Enough said.

9. Studded Belts

Who else remembers hitting up their local Hot Topic to pick up this must have accessory?

10. Bumpits

Embracing the Snookie lifestyle one pouf at a time.

12. Silly Bandz

Ah, I can vividly remember begging my mom for these. Nothing was more exciting than opening a new pack of Silly Bandz. Bonus points if the whole squad was rocking the same one.

#Blessed that Instagram wasn’t a thing back then.

Miley Cyrus Just Gave an Egg-cellent Response To Those Pregnancy Rumors

0
0

On Wednesday, Daily Mail announced that Miley Cyrus is pregnant with her and now-husband Liam Hemsworth’s first child—but there’s no need to cry happy tears just yet (and no need to panic if you’re still holding out hope that Liam will marry you instead). As confirmed by Miley herself in the best way possible, the rumors are most definitely not true.

Miley took to Twitter to debunk the rumor by photoshopping the now-viral World Record Egg (you know, the one that has more likes than Kylie Jenner) onto her stomach, and responded to Daily Mail’s tweet with a series of perfect puns proving that she and Liam will not be having a baby anytime soon.

“I’m not 'Egg-xpecting' but it’s 'Egg-celent' to hear everyone is so 'Happy For Us'....we’re happy for us too! 'Egg-cited' for this next chapter in our lives.... Now, can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg,” she wrote.

Her humor definitely helped us get over the heartbreak of realizing that there won’t be an adorable baby Hemsworth coming to the world any time soon. But don’t worry, the two have only been married for 25 days (their wedding date was December 23), so there’s plenty of time.

Parkland Survivors & Families Are Suing School Security Officials With Varied Results

0
0

In December, Judge Beth Bloom struck down a lawsuit filed by Parkland survivors which claimed the school district and sheriff’s office failed at their responsibility to keep students safe after a school shooting claimed the lives of 17 students and faculty on Valentine’s Day. The judge’s reasoning behind the shocking dismissal was that the students were not technically in the school’s custody.

Students were particularly upset by the actions of armed security guard Scot Peterson, who remained outside the school while the shooting took place, and Andrew Medina, the campus monitor, who never confronted Cruz as he arrived on campus.

According to The Sun Sentinel, Bloom explained the logic of her Dec. 12 ruling by focusing on Cruz being “a third party, and not a state actor.” She wrote that “the critical question the Court analyzes is whether defendants had a constitutional duty to protect plaintiffs from the actions of Cruz.”

Patricia Padauy-Oliver whose son Joaquin was killed in the Parkland shooting expressed her anger over the issue on Twitter.

However, before you sink too deeply into a cynical funk over the state of the world, know the fight is far from over.

The survivors’ lawyer Kristoffer R. Budhram sent an emailed statement to The Sun Sentinel saying “We are exploring all of our options for ensuring that they get their day in court, including appealing Judge Bloom's decision."

As Bustle reports, this case represents just one of many lawsuits filed by members of the Parkland community after the Valentine’s Day shooting. As Lani Sleelinger writes in the conclusion of her piece on the dismissal, “This one court case may have been dismissed, but the matter of who's to be held responsible for so many lost lives is far from settled.”

Another lawsuit, a wrongful death suit on behalf of the family of slain student Meadow Pollack, is also moving forward. Pollack's family's attorneys are arguing that MSD security monitor Andrew Medina failed to stop the shooter by properly initiating a "code red," or lock down, in the school. Medina has reportedly said that he recognized the shooter and was at least somewhat aware of what he was capable of doing, referring to him as a "crazy boy."

“He has about two minutes to do the right thing, your honor, the reasonable thing under the circumstances, the simplest thing, get on the radio and call a code red,” David Brill, the Pollack's attorney, said.

'West Side Story' Remake Cast High Schooler Rachel Zegler As Maria & She is Insanely Talented

Rachel Zegler may only be 17-years-old, but she is taking the theater world by storm as the West Side Story remake casts her as the iconic Maria. And based on her immense amount of talent, Zegler was absolutely born for this role.

According to Bustle, director Steven Spielberg and his team were dedicated to finding new Latinx talent and put out a casting call last January to find Latinx actors to play the roles of Maria, Anita and Bernardo. The Colombian-American teen, who played the role of Maria in a 2017 production, impressed the crew with her rendition of Tonight and Me Siento Hermosa (I Feel Pretty), securing her the role out of the 30,000 submissions received.

Following the announcement of Zegler receiving the role, the teenage actress took to social media to express how much it meant to her to take on such an important Latinx role.

“When I played Maria on stage a few summers ago, I never could have imagined that I'd be taking on the role again in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story,” Zegler wrote on her Instagram account. “As a Colombian-American woman growing up in this day and age, strong roles like Maria are so important.”

when i played maria on stage a few summers ago, i never could have imagined that i’d be taking on the role again in steven spielberg’s ‘west side story’. i send a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this incredible dream a reality— i never could’ve done it alone. i am so honored to join the legendary @TheRitaMoreno, @ansel, @arianadebose, @davidalvarezofficial, @joshandresrivera and more in telling this impeccably poignant story. as a colombian-american woman growing up in this day and age, strong roles like maria are so important. to be able to bring that role to life— a role that means so much to the hispanic community— is so humbling. i hope you’re all as excited as i am. ♥️✨

A post shared by rachel zegler (@rachelzegler) on

In a statement to Variety, Zegler said she was honored to take on the role: “I am so thrilled to be playing the iconic role of Maria alongside this amazing cast. West Side Story was the first musical I encountered with a Latina lead character... I am humbled by the opportunity to play a role that means so much to the Hispanic community.”

But Zegler already has quite the following, with over 80,000 subscribers on her Youtube channel alone. And the actress gained a lot of admirers after a video of her singing the Lady Gaga’s hit Shallow from A Star Is Born went viral, CNN reports.

“Your voice is insane. Now sing all the songs,” actor Zach Braff tweeted in response to Zegler’s video. “Congrats on being chosen by Mr. Spielberg.”

In a statement, Spielberg told Variety why Zegler was the right person for the role of Maria.

“When we began this process a year ago, we announced that we would cast the roles of Maria, Anita, Bernardo, Chino and the Sharks with Latina and Latino actors,” Spielberg said. “I’m so happy that we’ve assembled a cast that reflects the astonishing depth of talent in America’s multifaceted Hispanic community. I am in awe of the sheer force of the talent of these young performers, and I believe they’ll bring a new and electrifying energy to a magnificent musical that’s more relevant than ever.”

Spielberg’s remake of the original 1957 Broadway musical — a Romeo and Juliet-inspired love story between Tony, a former member of the Jets gang, and Maria, the younger sister of the leader of its rival gang, the Sharks — will be filled with lots of other talent as well.

Joining Zegler is Broadway veterans Ariana DeBose as Anita, David Alvarez as Bernardo and Hamilton national touring cast member Josh Andrés Rivera as Chino, according to CNN. Opposite Zegler, Ansel Elgort will play Tony.

Rita Moreno, who won Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her work as Anita in the original 1961 film, will play Valentina, “a reconceived and expanded version of the character of Doc, the owner of the corner store.”

We wish the best of luck to Zegler in this incredible role, and we just know that there will be many more amazing roles coming her way.

The bells of Notre Dame are ringing, as Disney announces it will be making a live-action remake of the beloved classic The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

According to Deadline, who first reported the news of Disney’s latest live-action film, the movie will simply be called Hunchback and will be produced by Mandeville Films and Frozen’s Josh Gad. Tony-winning M. Butterfly playwright David Henry Hwang, who also worked on Disney’s animated Tarzan, is set to write the script, WDW News Today reports.

Alan Menken, a Disney legend who actually composed the original score for the animated film, will be joined by Stephen Schwartz to compose the music for the live-action adaptation.

While no formal casting announcements have been made, it is rumored, according to Deadline, that Gad may play the role of Quasimodo.

The live-action remake will draw from the 1996 animated film and the Victor Hugo novel that was first published in 1831, PEOPLE reports.

David Hoberman, who runs Mandeville with Todd Lieberman, had been dreaming of making a live-action Hunchback for more than 30 years, going back to when he was Disney film president, Deadline reports.

The film is still in its early stages and is not yet on Disney’s release calendar.

This latest film is one of many films that are getting the live-action treatment from Disney, including Beauty and the Beast. Some of the upcoming live-action movies from Disney include Aladdin and The Lion King, which is set to hit theaters in May and July, respectively.

HC Wake-Up Call: Trump Postpones Pelosi's Overseas Trip, Number of Federal Workers Seeking Aid Doubles & Prince Philip Uninjured After Car Accident

Good morning, Her Campus! With a break-neck news cycle, there is no possible way for you to stay on top of every story that comes across your feeds—we’re all only human, after all.

But, life comes at you fast. So grab a cup of coffee and settle in for this quick and dirty guide to stories you might’ve been sleeping on (like, literally. It’s early.)

President Trump Postpones Speaker Pelosi's Overseas Trip After She Calls for State of the Union Delay

In a continuing standoff between President Donald Trump and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Trump has postponed Pelosi’s overseas trip to Belgium and Afghanistan – denying her access to a military aircraft - after she requested that the president delay his State of the Union address until the government shutdown is resolved, ABC News reports.

“Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed,” Trump wrote in a letter to Pelosi, released Thursday afternoon. “We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over.”

In the letter, Trump expressed that he felt “it would be better” if Pelosi was in Washington D.C., continuing to negotiate with him “and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the shutdown.”

“Obviously, if you would like to make your journey by flying commercial, that would certainly be your prerogative,” Trump added. “I look forward to seeing you soon and even more forward to watching our open and dangerous Southern Border finally receive the attention, funding and security it so desperately deserves.”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted out the letter.

When asked why Trump sent the letter out to Pelosi, Sanders said, “We want to keep her in Washington. If she leaves she guarantees that the second round of paychecks to workers won’t go out.”

Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, Drew Hammill, responded to Trump’s letter via Twitter, debunking the president’s claim that the trip was merely a “public relations event.”

“In Brussels, the delegation was scheduled to meet with top NATO commanders, U.S. military leaders and key allies–to affirm the United States’ ironclad commitment to the NATO alliance,” Hammill tweeted. He added that Pelosi was to also to “obtain critical national security & intelligence briefings from those on the front lines” in Afghanistan and thank the troops for their service.

According to The Huffington Post, Trump issued the letter only an hour before Pelosi was set to depart, and the letter exposed a trip that had relatively been kept under wraps for security reasons.

The president’s letter came one day after the speaker, who traditionally invites the president to Congress to give the annual State of the Union to a joint session of Congress, issued a letter requesting that the January 29th appearance be postponed until after the shutdown was resolved. Pelosi cited security concerns, as the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security had to furlough some workers and require other to work without pay during the shutdown, HuffPost reports.

As of Thursday, however, Pelosi told reporters that she had not yet received a response from Trump regarding the delay of the annual address.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who was supposed to join Pelosi’s congressional delegation to Afghanistan, said Trump’s decision to postpone the trip was “completely inappropriate.”

“We’re not going to allow the President of the United States to tell the Congress it can’t fulfill its oversight responsibilities, it can’t ensure that our troops have what they need whether our government is open or closed," Schiff told reporters after meeting with Pelosi in her Capitol office.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who has often been an ally of Trump’s, criticized the tit-for-tat between Trump and Pelosi, calling it “sophomoric.”

Although Graham had said in a statement that Pelosi’s request to delay the annual address was “very irresponsible and blatantly political,” he called Trump’s move to postpone the trip “also inappropriate.”

Number of Federal Workers Seeking Aid Doubles

The number of furloughed federal employees seeking unemployment benefits has doubled, topping 10,000 individuals during the week of January 5th, the Labor Department said Thursday.

According to AP News, federal workers who are not working during the government shutdown are eligible for unemployment benefits, but not those who are working without pay. The Labor Department has said that those who receive unemployment benefits will have to repay those funds if they end up receiving back pay when the government shutdown ends.

The shutdown, which began on December 22nd, caused approximately 420,000 federal employees to work without pay, while another 380,000 workers are not working and not getting paid. But, according to AP News, those numbers have altered slightly as some agencies, such as the IRS, have called some workers back to work.

Unemployment applications rose over the last week in states that have high numbers of federal contractors, including Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland. And more applications for unemployment benefits could come in in the weeks ahead.

Prince Philip Uninjured After Car Accident

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth, was “involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle” on Thursday afternoon but was not injured, according to Buckingham Palace.

“The accident took place close to the Sandringham Estate. Local police attended the scene,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said.

Prince Philip, who was staying at Norfolk retreat where he and the queen usually stay during the winters, was driving his Land Rover when it was involved in a crash with a Kia at around 3 p.m., the Norfolk Police Department said in a statement.

According to USA Today, the female driver of the Kia suffered cuts and a female passenger sustained an injury to her arm. Both females were treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn and were discharged.

A witness to the crash told BBC News that the SUV had overturned on the driver’s side and that broken glass was scattered on the road.

Since retiring from public life in August 2017, Prince Philip, 97, has been spotted driving cars periodically, usually while driving on one of the royal estates, ABC News reports.

While he has been retired from public life, Prince Philip did attend the wedding of his grandson, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle in May 2018, following a successful hip-replacement surgery. Prince Philip was last seen in public when he attended the wedding of his granddaughter Princess Eugenie of York in October.

The Complete Guide to Makeup for Acne-Prone Skin

0
0

Acne is a skin condition that a huge chunk of the population deals with, so of course there are many treatment and concealment options available. Choosing the best products for you is all about taking the time to uncover what works best for your skin.

You might have an entire medicine cabinet filled with acne-fighting concoctions, but it’s nice to be able to rely upon those few holy grail makeup products that always, always work. That’s why we’ve partnered with bareMinerals, the creators of clean beauty, to bring you this complete guide on everything you need to know about makeup for acne-prone skin – from what causes breakouts to the buildable foundation you should be using ASAP.

Acne, and what causes it

The first thing you should know is that breakouts aren’t created equal, and there’s actually a difference between the different kinds of acne, acne and your usual spatter of zits, including the ways you treat and conceal them.

Mild and moderate acne – mostly blemishes in the form of whiteheads and blackheads – have to do with hygiene and can result from clogged pores or even wiping your face on a dirty towel. These causes are easy to narrow down and then combat with fixes like exfoliation and spot treatment.

But more severe acne is usually caused by genetics or hormones. We’re talking about the hormonal acne that pops up around your chin and jawline every month, or the angry pimples caused by cystic acne. These are tougher to treat, because even if you’ve gotten rid of one pimple, the breakouts often reoccur in the same place.

Alleviating acne

Some of the best-known acne-fighting ingredients are salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, which work fast against blackheads, whiteheads and hormonal acne. But these ingredients certainly don’t treat all kinds of breakouts, and in the case of cystic acne, you may even need a prescription option. Ultimately, your dermatologist will be the best source to analyze your skin and help you come up with a regimen that works for you!

There is one thing we know for sure though: Being kind to your skin – choosing nurturing ingredients, maintaining a gentle routine, concealing without congesting – is going to go further.

Love on your skin

“Acne-fighting” can sound so aggressive, as if your skin is something that needs to be subdued and manipulated into perfection. So, instead of resorting to products with harsh chemicals and unnecessary additives to banish your breakouts, it’s important to find skincare and makeup formulas that alleviate acne, while also soothing skin – instead of just declaring war on your face.

Obviously, breakouts and dry patches put a bump in the road of your daily makeup routine, and the ultimate goal is to find balance between something that conceals without irritating your skin further. Before grabbing a new foundation or concealer, stop and read if the product has essential ingredients like salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid, minerals, or sulfur. All of these will combat acne – and then you want to look for soothing botanicals (like chamomile), which are still gentle enough to moisturize and minimize acne issues.

Essential makeup

How the heck do I find makeup that works magic on my zits and makes me feel good? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with some of our bareMinerals faves guaranteed to do the trick.

For over 20 years, bareMinerals has been bringing clean, natural minerals and good-from-the-earth ingredients to our beauty routines. Now, they’re here to help us calm, clear and cover breakouts with the first (!!!) clean makeup for treating acne. Introducing Blemish Rescue, a complete set of acne-fighting coverage products that have been clinically shown to clear acne in as little as three weeks*.

This innovative collection focuses on formulas containing soothing ingredients that nourish the skin and maintain moisture, instead of drying out your breakout patches. Finally, there’s a way for us to feel relaxed and comfortable in our own skin, without sacrificing buildable coverage and quality product. This is exactly what’s needed for when you need to cover a breakout for a date or interview, but still improve skin with lasting benefits over time.

Take a look below for all the ways natural mineral makeup will help create fresh, glowing skin, even on those days when you wake up to a breakout.

Foundation

Looking for an acne treatment and foundation in one? This Blemish Rescue foundation for acne-prone skin is a full-coverage, loose powder foundation formulated with salicylic acid to resolve breakouts, plus oat protein to soothe and nourish skin.

To use, simply swirl the powder onto your application brush, then buff the foundation into your skin in a circular motion, using a little additional powder on any problem areas. The best thing about this makeup is that it’s skin-clearing, which means you’re working towards improved skin texture every time you apply your daily makeup. It honestly sounds too good to be true, but trust us, this is real.

Concealer

This multi-tasking concealer does more than just clear acne – it also covers redness, optimizes against bacteria, and fades acne scars because of key ingredients like salicylic acid and licorice root extract. Yes, really.

Just apply the concealer to any raised bump areas, patting in with index finger to blend, adding a little more concealer on areas that are particularly red. This can layer under or over foundation, but if you’re going light on the face-makeup, simply use as a spot treatment on areas you want to cover and heal.

Brush

This makeup brush is made with special fibers infused with activated charcoal and antibacterial silver ions to keep bacteria away. Unlike other brushes with a charcoal coating that can wash off with use, this one is designed to stay cleaner for longer – which means you’ll spend less time worrying about breakouts and more time loving your skin.

When it comes down to it, true and consistent results happen when you prioritize loving on your skin with natural products and good-for-you ingredients like minerals and skin-soothing botanicals. Another thing to consider: When you shop natural, clean makeup, it makes a wider impact on your community and the world because your makeup choices can actually help the environment.

So, the next time you’re makeup shopping, instead of combatting acne by drying out your face with harsh chemicals or piling on a cakey, heavy foundation until your pores are congested, stick to gentle products that keep your skin nice and comfy. It’s the ultimate way to stay clear, real and love your naturally beautiful skin.

A 1950s Western Totally Predicted The Rise Of Donald Trump & It's Scarily Accurate

0
0

These are crazy times we are living in. Before the 2016 election, most people probably did not expect that the host of The Apprentice would one day be the President of the United States or that any sitting President could so flagrantly break the law to achieve his power—and get away with it, too. But one episode of the 1950’s TV western, Trackdown, seemingly predicted the craziness of our current political reality with uncanny accuracy.

According to IMDB, Trackdown chronicles the adventures a Texas Ranger named Hoby Gilman, played by actor Robert Culp, as he hunts down criminals. The show ran from 1957 to 1959, but the episode in question, aptly titled “The End of the World,” was released in 1958.

As Alex Hirsh wrote in his now-viral tweet about the show, “The End of the World” is “about a conman who grifts a small town of suckers into building a wall.” Even crazier? The conman on the show doesn't just share the current President’s beliefs, they also have the same name: Trump. While such wild coincidences may seem too good to be true, the fact-checking site Snopes verified that the episode was indeed made 61 years ago, well before the current state of American politics.

A widely shared highlight reel of the episode reveals even more detailed parallels between TV Trump and President Trump. Not only does TV Trump encourage the townspeople to build a wall but he also claims that he is “the only one” who case save them, mirrored then-candidate Trump who claimed in 2016 that only he could solve America’s problems.

In another scene, Ranger Hoby Gilman goes to see if the town sheriff can stop TV Trump from taking over the town. The sheriff demands proof of Trump's wrongdoing, to which Gilman replies, with incredulity, “it’s obvious.”

This exchange echoes the public’s growing frustration over President Trump’s imperviousness to punishment, worsened by the contrast between the ever-mounting evidence of shady dealings in his campaign and the agonizingly slow churn of law and bureaucracy.

The reel ends with Gilman confronting Trump, announcing that he’s under arrest. Though whether that part is just as accurate as the rest of it remains to be seen.

I Successfully Became a Morning Person — Here's How I Did It

This article has been syndicated from Uniquely Mickie, an InfluenceHer Collective Member. Read the full post here

In a perfect world, we would all be morning people who wake up at the break of dawn every day and ready to start the day off in a positive mood. Unfortunately, this isn't a perfect world and most of us have a super hectic schedule the moment our feet touch the ground. Let’s get real: it’s a miracle if I get out the door on time, eat breakfast, take my dog out, and be motivated for the day. Usually, I’m a grumpy mess who’d rather be cuddled up in my bed, instead of going about my day.

But even though, I am a creature of habit waking up early has always intrigued me. I’ve always wondered if I could become a morning person so that I could be more productive and motivated in the morning. With that, I've found some top tips that have been super helpful in becoming a morning person.

Create a routine

IIf you stick to a routine, your body will naturally adapt to the change and allow you to become sleepy around the same time every day. One nighttime routine to try is to drink some tea or read a book 30-45 minutes before bed. However you choose to relax, make sure it’s something that you can repeat every night to make sure you get a good night’s sleep.

Wake up to natural light

By waking up to natural light, you’ll be woken up with a gradual light instead of a blaring alarm that you ended up hitting snooze a few times. Waking up to natural light allows you to feel more rested and ready to start the day because it’s the world’s way of waking you up.

Work out first thing in the morning

I know this doesn’t sound like the best plan of action, but I promise you working out in the morning will get your mind right and your juices flowing. Now I know working out is usually put on the back burner, especially when it’s already hard to wake up early or your schedule is already busy enough but doing a quick 15-30 minute routine will release any of those bad toxins and allow you to start your day on the right foot.

Working out early in the morning will allow you to feel more productive and be more inclined to eat healthier throughout the day. A lot of people attempt to work out in the evenings after work, but you’re already physically and mentally exhausted that working out is the last task that you’ll want to do.

Do something uplifting

Once you wake up, do something that you enjoy or gets you in a positive spirit, like listening to a motivational podcast. It’s a proven theory that if you wake up with motivating thoughts, you’re more likely to have a better day and be more productive. It can be as simple as reading a motivational article or drinking a cup of coffee.

Changing any habit takes time and practice, so don’t rush the process. I wouldn’t say I’m always a morning person, and that's okay. Just take it one day at a time and don’t forget that things happen that might not allow us to go to sleep early or wake up early every morning.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’: 19 Reactions I Had to Midseason Premiere ‘Shelter from the Storm’

0
0

You would think that by now, a solid 14 years since Grey's Anatomy premiered and a good eight since I started watching, little they do these days would surprise me. They're recycling tropes, everyone is either doing it or dying, and Meredith can only be torn between two men so many times, right? Welp. I guess I'm just easy, because last night's mid-season premiere had me on the edge of my seat once again, wondering if Betty would finally go to rehab, expecting our new maintenence friend to die, anticipating the fury of Catherine Fox (yet to come), and still it left me with a healthy dose of laughter before all was said and done.

Honestly, what will we do without Grey's? Where else will I get my weekly fix of crazy cases, awkward moments, and reactions like the 19 below?

When Glasses and Nico are really out here having sex in the ambulance while the world quite literally crashes down around them.

When you meet this guy who's is in charge of the whole building (for the very first time?? Where was he when ceiling tiles were falling into open patients and everyone was getting electrocuted?), and you just know that he's going to A) be immediately likeable and B) he's gonna die.

When you realize that you might... just might... like DaLuca now?

When you think about how someone is gonna lose their damn JOB for spreading Catherine's medical information all across the damn hospital.

When Helm begins to panic in the elevator and you think about how George never would have stood for this.

When Jo is drunk but still wanting to help everyone—a MOOD.

When you know right off the bat that Betty is acting suspiciously, but Webber is giving her the benefit of the doubt.

When Owen's sticking his hands in a chest cavity without gloves, which is either incredibly brave or incredibly reckless.

When you realize that you DEFINITLY like DaLuca now???

When Owen removes the license plate from the patient's chest and then uses it to crack open the patient's chest.

When Meredith conveniently speaks fluent Italian after 3 years of it like 20 years ago.

When the elevator starts moving and you're already envisioning the maintenence man being sliced in half.

But then you remember that elevators don't work like any of that.

When this strange doctor we've never seen before doesn't have any interest in even attempting to save his colleague's legs???

When Betty is exposed.

When Cece starts to crash AGAIN.

Then suddenly Meredith is telling Cece’s corpse how happy she is.

When Maggie and Avery go to tell Webber about Catherine and you remember once again that SOMEBODY has to be losing their job soon.

And finally, when DaLuca and Link are the actual embodiment of Derek and Finn.

Who Did Noah Centineo Just 'Fall In Lust' With On Instagram? An HC Investigation

If you’re reading this, you most likely have a crush on the one and only Noah Centineo. Trust me,same. Everything from the smirk, the swoon-worthy one-liners, and the iconic hand in pocket spin has all of us falling in love with our internet boyfriend. The best part...he is totally single.

But, it looks like Centineo has his eyes on a certain someone. Centineo caused quite the stir on Friday, after he tweeted about hoe he hates falling in lust with people on Instagram.

“I genuinely detest when I fall in lust with someone on Instagram,” he tweeted. But who is this mystery person?

Of course, Twitter users couldn’t help but feel the same way about Centineo.

Some even claimed to be the unidentified indivudal.

Others just really wanted to know who he was talking about. To spare you the trouble of combing through Noah’s Instagram history while your friends question your obsession with the YA heartthrob, I did it for you! I deep-dived into his Insta-likes and Twitter posts from the last few days to narrow down some potential suspects in no particular order. Here is what I found:

1. Selena Gomez

It’s no secret that Noah Centineo has nothing but “love” for Selena Gomez. In a September interview with Seventeen, Centineo opened up about his celebrity crush.

“Selena seems like one of the coolest people ever," he said. "And she’s an activist, as well. And clearly she loves love and is a loving person. I don’t know if it’s clear because I don’t know her, but it feels that way.”

When manager Nick Styne recently posted a throwback of him and Selena, Centineo couldn’t help but further profess his feelings for her.

“Bahhhhh she’s gorgeous,” he commented, along with a baffled emoji.

He also told Entertainment Tonight that his dream date with the “Back to You” singer would involve lots of yoga and some good conversation.

“[We could do] some yoga, go on a hike to the Wisdom Tree. You know, maybe go overseas, do somethings,” Centineo said.

As much as Centineo proclaims his love for Gomez, the actor revealed he has yet to slip into the singer’s DMs. “That’s all love, man. That’s not in the DMs, you know? I respect the woman,” he said. *Swoons.* He also added that he also thought Gomez is “absolutely” gorgeous. “It’s hard not to crush on her.”

Selena Gomez could possibly be the mystery individual, and a fan was even quick to point this out. The actress and singer has recently broken her social media silence, after a four month hiatus.

For all we know, this could just be Centineo's way of finally making a move. #Gomentineo

2. Lily Collins

It’s important to note that at the time Centineo posted that tweet, he only liked one post—Leonardo Dicaprio’s. The actor posted a side by side image of the Rondonia region of Brazil for the 10 year challenge, and Centineo liked it. But, it also seems like Centineo has a trend of not liking a ton of posts on Instagram and really only liking artsy photos, memes, and tagged images.

Centineo, however, broke that trend and liked a photo from Lily Collins a couple hours prior to the tweet.

A few hours later, Lily Collins also liked a photo of Centineo and his friend.

The two have previously hung out in Los Angeles, where they were photographed together at an EMMY’s party. Fans also spotted the pair enjoying a day out together before grabbing a quick pic with them.

Coincidence or low-key the start of something new?

3. Someone We Probably Don't Know

Centineo’s stayed kind of quiet in regards to his own relationship status. According to JustJared Jr., he was previously in a relationship with model Angeline Appel, but it ended sometime after 2016. Since then, he’s been a free-agent and he's recently been unafraid to talk about his crushes on social media. Like this:

And this:

And also this:

The mystery individual could just be someone he happened to stumble upon on Instagram. It can happen. One minute, you're scrolling through Insta's explore page and then next, you "fall in lust."

I still have so many questions such as why all the secreacy, Noah and who is the special someone you're pining after? For now, we will have to wait for confirmation of who this mystery person is from him.

President Trump Announces An Immigration Compromise That Probably Won't Reopen The Government

As the government shutdown quickly moves towards the one-month mark, President Donald Trump proposed on Saturday live from the White House a plan to reopen the government. The immigration compromise would expand protections for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and extend the legal status of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients. This offer would be made in exchange for the $5.7 billion that the president has pushed for to fund his border wall.

According to Bloomberg, Democrats have rejected similar compromises and most likely won’t sign off on this one. Prior to the announcement, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement that the House wouldn’t pass Trump’s proposed plan

“Initial reports make clear that his proposal is a compilation of several previously rejected initiatives, each of which is unacceptable and in total, do not represent a good faith effort to restore certainty to people’s lives,” Pelosi said. “It’s unlikely that anyone of these provisions alone would pass the House, and taken together, they are a non-starter.”

In his speech on Saturday, Trump asked for hundreds of millions of dollars in funding for “urgent humanitarian assistance” and for “drug detection technology to help secure our ports of entry.” He also demanded for an additional 2,750 border agents and 75 new “immigration judge teams” to reduce backlog of 900,000 immigration cases.

Trump also proposed “three years of legislative relief for 700,000 DACA recipients” as an extension to “give them access to work permits, social security numbers and protections from deportation.”  A similar three-year extension was proposed for TPS-holders.

As well, the president argued that the compromise’s ideas were “proposed by Democrats themselves” in the past. As Politico reported, Pelosi and other Democrats don’t think it’s a legitimate compromise to reopen government. Democrats also have insisted that they wouldn’t negotiate immigration and the border wall while the government remained partially closed.

Despite the opposition to the proposal, Politico reported that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Saturday that he will move forward on the legislation in Senate this week.

“With bipartisan cooperation, the Senate can send a bill to the House quickly so that they can take action as well,” McConnell said in a statement. “The situation for furloughed employees isn’t getting any brighter and the crisis at the border isn’t improved by show vots. But the President’s plan is a path toward addressing both issues quickly.”

Boo, an adorable Pomeranian that captured the world’s heart and claimed the title of the “world’s cutest dog” through internet fame, has passed away, likely from a broken heart, according to Boo’s humans.

Boo, who was 12-years-old in human years, passed away in his sleep Friday morning, according to a statement from his owners.

“With deepest sadness I wanted to share that Boo passed away in his sleep early this morning and has left us to join his best friend, Buddy,” the statement read. “Our family is heartbroken, but we find comfort knowing that he is no longer in any pain or discomfort. We know that Buddy was the first to greet him on the other side of that rainbow bridge, and this is likely the most excited either of them have been in a long time.”

Dearest friends of Boo, With deepest sadness I wanted to share that Boo passed away in his sleep early this morning and has left us to join his best friend, Buddy. Our family is heartbroken, but we find comfort knowing that he is no longer in any pain or discomfort. We know that Buddy was the first to greet him on the other side of that rainbow bridge, and this is likely the most excited either of them have been in a long time. Since starting Boo’s FB page, I’ve received so many notes over the years from people sharing stories of how Boo brightened their days and helped bring a little light to their lives during difficult times. And that was really the purpose of all this...Boo brought joy to people all over the world. Boo is the happiest dog I’ve ever met. He was so easy going that we never had to bother with training. He made the manliest of men squeal with delight over his cuteness and made everyone laugh with his quirky, tail wagging personality. Over the years Boo met some super cool people, a lot of crazy talented people, but most of all so many kind people...friends who gave him endless love, people who prioritized his comfort over getting that perfect picture, partners who understood that Buddy ALWAYS had to be included, and last but definitely not least, the amazing doctors, therapists, and staff at Adobe Animal Hospital and Sage Veterinary Centers for the countless hours of care and dedication they poured into Buddy and Boo. I brought Boo home in the spring of 2006 and so started the greatest, most heartwarming friendship of all time. Shortly after Buddy died, Boo showed signs of heart issues. We think his heart literally broke when Buddy left us. He hung on and gave us over a year. But it looks like it was his time, and I’m sure it was a most joyous moment for them when they saw each other in heaven. Boo, we love you with all our hearts and will miss you until the day we meet again. Have fun running around with Buddy and creating adorable mischief wherever you guys go. Thank you to all of you for following along on their silly adventures over the past 10 years. They sure had a LOT of fun. With love and our deepest gratitude, Boo’s humans

A post shared by Buddy Boo Blue Benny (@buddyboowaggytails) on

Boo, who, according to USA Today, became a social media superstar with over 16 million Facebook followers, was often photographed alongside his pal and fellow Pomeranian, Buddy.

According to Boo’s humans, Boo developed some heart issues after Buddy passed away in 2017, which his owners suspect was due to Boo being heartbroken over the loss of his close friend.

“Shortly after Buddy died, Boo showed signs of heart issues. We think his heart literally broke when Buddy left us. He hung on and gave us over a year. But it looks like it was his time, and I’m sure it was a most joyous moment for them when they saw each other in heaven,” the statement continued.

According to The Huffington Post, Boo rose to fame on social media in 2009, and his owners released multiple books written about him, including Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog, which was released in 2011.

The adorable Pomeranian was also featured on TV shows like ABC’s Good Morning America, USA Today reports.

“Boo brought joy to people all over the world. Boo is the happiest dog I’ve ever met. He was so easy going that we never had to bother with training. He made the manliest of men squeal with delight over his cuteness and made everyone laugh with his quirky, tail wagging personality,” his owners wrote in the statement.

And Boo sure did bring joy to people around the world, as fans poured in messages of love.

Rest in peace, Boo.

Thousands of Protesters Rallied Together for the 2019 Women's March With Messages of Unity Amid Controversy

Thousands of women across the United States came out in full force on Saturday to take part in the 2019 Women’s March, its third year for the annual demonstration, to fight for women’s rights.

The demonstration, which began as a response to the then-incoming President Donald Trump and first took place the day after his inauguration, featured messages of unity amid the controversy surrounding the leadership of the Women’s March Inc.

According to ABC News, the leadership has faced accusations of anti-Semitism and racism this past year. The allegations of past controversial comments made by some of the march’s leaders were brought about in an article published by the online Jewish magazine Tablet, becoming heavily discussed and criticized.

Women’s March co-president Tamika Mallory had been criticized for her relationship with leader of the Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan, who has been accused of anti-Semitism. Appearing on ABC's The View, Mallory drew more fuel to the fire when she defended her relationship with Farrakhan.

“As a leader, as a black leader in a country that is still dealing with some very serious unresolved issues as it relates to the black experience in this country, I go into a lot of difficult spaces,” Mallory said. “Wherever my people are, there that’s where I must also be.”

The following day, however, the NAACP and the Democratic National Committee withdrew as partners of the annual demonstration, but Planned Parenthood remained as a partner.

But at the march on Saturday, Mallory appeared to be all-inclusive, saying to the crowd gathered on the National Mall, “To all my sisters, I see you. To my Muslim sisters, I see you. To my Latina sisters, I see you. To my Asian sisters, I see you. To my Jewish sisters, I see all of you. I see your pain. And to my black sisters, I SEE YOU!”

Despite the march being mired in controversy, the message of unity still appeared to be strong.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a rising star in the Democratic Party, urged on the crowd to “uplift all of our voice,” and noted that now was the time to act after the Democrats gained a majority in the House of Representative in the recent midterm election.

“It is so incredibly important to uplift all of our voices. And to make sure the least among us advocated the most. That means we will not be quiet when it comes to the rights of black women. That means we will not be quiet when it comes to the rights of trans women. That means we will not be quiet when it comes to the rights of poor women. And middle-class women. And working-class women. And all women in the United States and in the world,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“Last year we brought the power to the polls, and this year we need to make sure we translate that power into policy,” she added. “That means we will not let anyone take our rights away. In fact, we will expand them.”

According to The Huffington Post, the freshman congresswoman listed priorities such as the Equal Rights Amendment, paid parental leave and equal pay for women.

Appeared at another march location in New York, Ocasio-Cortez emphasized that justice was a real-world issue that has consequences, HuffPost reports.

“Justice is about the water we drink. Justice is about the air we breathe. Justice is about how easy is it to vote. Justice is about how much ladies get paid,” she said. “Justice is about making sure that being polite is not the same thing as being quiet. In fact, oftentimes, the most righteous thing you can do is shake the table.”

While campaigning for president in Iowa on Saturday, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand appeared at the Women’s March there and condemned anti-Semitism.

“I will make this very clear. We know there is no room for anti-Semitism anywhere in our movement. We know this. We know that our movement is empowered when all of us lift each other,” Gillibrand said.

Speaking inside the Iowa State Capitol, Gillibrand called the first Women’s March in 2017 “the most inspiring moment of my political life,” according to CNN.

“Two years ago, the most inspiring moment of my political life happened, the women’s movement was reborn,” Gillibrand said. “The first women’s march didn’t look like any other women’s movement that we have seen before. It was people of all races, religions, gender identities, socio-economic background and ages in hundreds of cities across America.”

Gillibrand urged the crowd to “keep marching” and to not give up in the face of some of the recent difficulties in our society.

Other lawmakers also joined marches, including Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Debbie Dingell (D-MI), Katie Hill (D-CA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), The Washington Times reports. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined the Women’s March in San Francisco.

HC Wake-Up Call: Trump Lashes Out at Pelosi for Rejecting Shutdown Proposal, CBP Says Wall is Key Part of Border Security & Native American Veteran Harassed by Teens

Trump Lashes Out at Pelosi for Rejecting His Shutdown Proposal

In a series of tweets on Sunday morning, President Donald Trump lashed out at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats for rejecting his government shutdown proposal, which offered temporary protections for undocumented immigrants in exchange for the funding for the border wall.

Claiming that Pelosi was behaving “irrationally,” Trump wrote on his personal Twitter account: “Nancy Pelosi has behaved so irrationally & has gone so far to the left that she has now officially become a Radical Democrat. She is so petrified of the ‘lefties’ in her party that she has lost control.”

During an address on Saturday from the Diplomatic Room, the president presented a “compromise” bill that would extend protections for some young immigrants in exchange for border wall funding, and bring the government shutdown to an end, ABC News reports. However, Democrats quickly shot down the proposal, saying the offer was not good enough to end the shutdown.

Pelosi said the proposal “unacceptable,” calling it a “non-starter” that would not pass in Congress.

The House Speaker said Trump’s offer did not “represent a good faith effort to restore certainty to people’s lives,” especially since the proposal only offered temporary solutions for DREAMers.

“It is unlikely that any one of these provisions alone would pass the House, and taken together, they are a non-starter,” Pelosi said.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer dismissed the proposal, saying it was “not a compromise but more hostage taking.”

“It’s clear the president realizes that by closing the government and hurting so many American workers and their families, he has put himself and the country in an untenable position,” Schumer said. “Unfortunately, he keeps putting forward one-sided and ineffective remedies. There’s only way out: open up the government, Mr. President, and then Democrats and Republicans can have a civil discussion and come up with bipartisan solutions.”

Responding to Pelosi’s and other Democrats’ criticism of his proposal, Trump accused Democrats of being blinded by the upcoming 2020 election, and that they “should do the right thing for the country & allow people to go back to work,” USA Today reports.

“Nancy Pelosi and some of the Democrats turned down my offer yesterday before I even got up to speak. They don’t see crime & drugs, they only see 2020 - which they are not going to win,” Trump wrote in a tweet.

Trump also defended his proposal on Sunday after some conservatives had accused him of offering amnesty.

The president said amnesty “is not a part” of his shutdown proposal, and that there will be “no big push” to remove undocumented immigrants. However, seeming to refer to potential deportations, he ended his tweet by threatening Pelosi, writing, “Be careful Nancy!”

Amid the government shutdown, Pelosi also requested that Trump postpone his State of the Union address, but on Sunday, Trump said he is looking at “so many options” for the address, including delivering it on Capitol Hill.

Nancy, I am still thinking about the State of the Union speech, there are so many options — including doing it as per your written offer (made during the Shutdown, security is no problem), and my written acceptance. While a contract is a contract, I’ll get back to you soon!” Trump tweeted.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Says Wall is Key Part of Border Security

A border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border has been a promise the President Donald Trump has held since he was on the campaign trail, and the reason for the recent government shutdown as Congress and the president continue to be unable to reach an agreement on a funding deal.

Trump announced a new proposal on Saturday in an attempt to bring a resolution between Republicans and Democrats to end the government shutdown, with the president asking for $5.7 billion to build an additional 230 miles of a steel-barrier system along the border in “high priority locations,” according to Vox.

While apprehensions at the border have decreased over the past two decades, there has been an increase in the past year, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), but it isn’t necessarily considered a trend.

ABC News Chief Global Affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz spoke with CBP San Diego Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodney Scott about the situation at the border. Even though the border wall wouldn’t be a complete solution, Scott said CBP needs more areas with barriers to “slow down illegal entries.”

“We cannot effectively control the border without barriers to slow down illegal entries,” Scott told Raddatz. While he said the wall wouldn’t necessarily stop the flow of drugs, which typically come through at legal port of entries, the wall would allow Scott “to free up personnel to focus on that threat.”

While Scott said he feels compassion for individuals who try to come across the border, he also “feel[s] compassion for the several thousand people that have been in line at the San Ysidro port of entry for several weeks, waiting to do it right, and those people literally just cut in line in front of them.”

But for some immigrants who are fleeing violence and wish to seek asylum in the United States, a border wall wouldn’t stop them, according to ABC News.

Native American Veteran Harassed by Teens Wearing MAGA Hats

In a video that spread across the internet over Saturday and Sunday, a group of teens, mainly from an all-male Kentucky Catholic school, wearing “Make America Great Again” hats, appeared to mock and chant over a small group of Native Americans that were singing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. at the conclusion of the first Indigenous Peoples March on Friday.

Video posted online shows a group of teens surrounding Nathan Phillips, harassing the Native American Vietnam War veteran as he the American Indian Movement song, ABC News reports.

In particular, one teen is seen standing directly in front of Phillips, smirking at him for the nearly three minutes that he stood mere inches away from Phillip’s face. But Phillips remained composed during the distressing confrontation.

The Indigenous Peoples March happened to take place on the same day that the pro-life March for Life rally took place, and some students had attended the rally, The Huffington Post.

In an interview following the confrontation that was posted to Instagram, Phillips said he wished the teens would put their energy into something important, like feeding the poor.

“I heard them say, ‘Build that wall, build that wall,’ you know?” Phillips said in the interview. “This is indigenous lands, you know. We’re not supposed to have walls here. We never did. Before anybody else came here we never had walls. We never had a prison.”

“We always took care of our elders, took care of our children,” Phillips added. “We always provided for them, you know? We taught them right from wrong. I wish I could see that energy of the young men to, you know, put that energy to make this country really great. Helping those that are hungry.”

As fury began to boil over as the videos quickly spread, users were able to identify the teens as students from Covington Catholic school in Kentucky based on the insignia on their clothing, HuffPost reports.

Confirming that the students were from Covington, The Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington said in a statement Saturday, “We condemn the actions of the Covington Catholic High School students towards Nathan Phillips specifically, and Native Americans in general,” the statement, obtained by WLTW, said. “The matter is being investigated and we will take appropriate action, up to and including expulsion.”

In a statement Saturday, Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes called the videos “horrific.”

“In spite of these horrific scenes, I refuse to shame and solely blames these children for this type of behavior. Instead, I turn to the adults and administration that are charged with teaching them, and to those who are silently letting others promote this behavior,” Lundergan said. “This is not the Kentucky we know and love. I call on the Covington Catholic High School to denounce this behavior. As a proud alumnae of a Catholic High School, I hope a school that stands for ‘Building Minds. Living Faith.’ would not stand for this.”

“This Veteran put his life on the line for our country,” Rep. Deb Haaland (D-NM), one of the first Native American women to be elected to Congress, said on Twitter. “The students’ display of blatant hate, disrespect, and intolerance is a signal of how common decency has decayed under this administration. Heartbreaking.”

Tomi Lahren (Mistakenly) Came for Cardi B on Twitter & Her Response is Hilarious

Tomi Lahren is no stranger to Twitter feuds. She's gone head-to-head with Wale, J.K. Rowling, Kathy Griffin, and as of Sunday, Cardi B, too.

Lahren, a notorious conservative commentator, was apparently not a fan of Cardi's recent Instagram video in which she condemned President Trump's demand for a border wall and the ongoing government shutdown. "I know a lot of you don’t care because you don’t work for the government or you probably don’t even have job, but this sh—t is really f—king serious," Cardi said. "Our country is in a hellhole right now, all for a f—king wall. And we really need to take this serious. I feel like we really need to take some action; I don’t know what type of action because this is not what I do, but bi—h, I’m scared."

Shortly after Cardi posted the video, Lahren made her feelings clear about it in a tweet.

Cardi responded on Sunday with a simple message.

Of course, Lahren couldn't resist taking a dig at Cardi's intelligence again.

But Cardi came back at her even harder, saying she was merely "blinded with racism."

Cardi further discussed the matter on Instagram Live Sunday night. She explained that she genuinely loved learning about history and politics, and even took AP courses in the subjects in high school. "It wasn’t studying to me, it was like a passion because I love to read about American history," she said. "I like to know about politicians, I like to know how everything is getting ran... I went to college for this shit. It really gets me upset when people be like, 'oh, you’re dumb.' I’m not dumb at this sh—t!"

Noah Centineo is Facing Backlash After He Voiced Support for Controversial YouTuber Logan Paul

0

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star Noah Centineo is seemingly cool with YouTuber Logan Paul despite his (long) history of f—k-ups, which includes everything from mocking suicide to making a number of homophobic and racist comments.

Logan posted a tweet before the new year reflecting on the "son of a b—ch" year that was 2018, explaining that he'd grown as a human being. "Point is, we did it," he wrote. "Chapter closed. Dear 2019... let's get this fkn bread."

In a since-deleted tweet, Noah responded with a sweet message voicing his support for Logan's message. "Beautiful man," Noah wrote. "It's not just about overcoming adversity, it's about overcoming yourself in the face of adversity. We can all learn a lot from this growth."

However, some fans weren't happy with Noah's ability to look past everything that he's done.

Noah hasn't yet addressed the backlash.

Fox News Accidentally Aired a Graphic Saying Ruth Bader Ginsburg is Dead

Fox News issued an apology on Monday after a graphic ran during the morning show Fox & Friends that said Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is dead.

The graphic showed a photo of Ginsburg with the dates 1933-2019, similar to typical in memoriam formats.

"We need to apologize. … A technical error in the control room triggered a graphic of RBG with a date on it,"Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy said later in the show. "We don’t want to make it seem anything other than that was a mistake. That was an accident."

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt also apologized, calling the move a "big mistake."

A Fox News spokesman told The Hill that it was a "technical error that emanated from the graphics team."

Ginsburg's health has been in the news since December, when she underwent surgery to remove cancerous nodules. Just this month, she missed oral arguments on the court for the first time in her 25 years on the bench. Ginsburg is, however, expected to return soon.
