Giving back is good for the soul, whether it be through volunteering or donating to charity – giving back is an important thing to do even as a student. Thanks to certain cosmetic and beauty brands with a passion for philanthropy, giving back has never been so easy. Here are a few places and products you can support that are doing good for the world and people, so your facemasks and foundation can do a little more than just make you cute. Now’s the best time to whip out the Ulta Beauty and Sephora gift cards you've been saving to make a purchase, or two.

Coco & Eve

The power is in the pink...jar. This hair mask will do more than rejuvenate your hair. During the month of October, Coco & Eve is donating 20 percent of its profits to the educational non-profit CoppaFeel, which encourages and promotes early detection of breast cancer. The "Like A Virgin Hair Masque” is a sustainable haven being totally vegan and cruelty-free. This hair mask lacks things like parabens, sulfates and animal testings, instead using natural ingredients like coconut to keep hair healthy. Plus, it's PETA approved. The mask is on the pricier end at $44.90 for one jar, but it also includes a “Tangle Tamer” and has amazing reviews, just FYI.

GlamGlow

Still, on the mindset of masks but in a different form, skincare brand GlamGlow has released a limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness bubble sheet mask. With this bubble sheet you’ll be able to keep your skin clean and clear while supporting a good cause.  This limited edition sheet mask has the same formula and effect, but with a charitable twist. For a limited time, 20 percent of the purchase price will support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. At only $9 per mask, it's a reasonable way to both take care of yourself and support a charitable, life-changing organization.

Estée Lauder

Estée Lauder is no stranger to philanthropy. Besides starting a major beauty company, the founder of Estée Lauder also founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Their new initiative, #TimeToEndBreastCancer, fundraises for @bcrfcure with each purchase of their limited-edition Pink Ribbon Collection items. Items like the Advanced Night Repair with Pink Ribbon Keychain ($98) and the Powerful Pink Color Collection, including lipstick and nail polish,($35) are part of this new collection benefiting the foundation.

Aveda

Whether we like it or not, cold weather is coming and bringing dry hands along with it. Philanthropy and skincare go hand-in-hand with Aveda launching their limited-edition Hand Relief ($26.50) moisturizing creme. As a company focused on developing cruelty-free products, they're giving back with that focus in mind. With every purchase of the hand creme, they will be donating $5 to support cruelty-free research through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. A good gift for any birthday or just to stock up for the cold weather, this pink bottled hand creme is an adorable winter essential.

Clinique

Clinique is doing something a little different this month. Instead of offering limited edition products for sale, they are challenging all of their customers and the entire beauty community to remove their makeup for a good cause. This idea stems from putting inner beauty before outer beauty. During the month of October, for every Instagram post featuring someone removing their lipstick, Clinique will donate $10 (up to a total of $250,000) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. All you have to do is post a video or picture and use the hashtag, #TakeTheDayOffChallenge plus tag @clinique on Instagram.

Avon

This skincare company, one that raises $800 million for breast cancer research every year, is super committed to ending domestic violence as well. Their company mission is to empower women - financially as well as physically/mentally. If you're looking for the most-loved product to start with, Avon's Love at 1st Lash Mascara is editor-approved and oh-so-perfect for getting luscious lashes.

According to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, about two million people were newly diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. Every little donation helps and  you can contribute to the cause while treating yourself this October with these special brand collaborations.

The First Teaser Trailer for 'Aladdin' Has Arrived & I'm So Hype For This Whole New World

It's almost time to head to a whole new world!

The first teaser for the live-action remake of Aladdin was released on Thursday night, quickly gaining a lot of traction with over 89 thousand likes on the movie’s main Twitter account.

Aladdin's first teaser takes viewers to Agrabah where Iago is seen flying above making his way to the Cave of Wonders, which heeds the warning, "Only one may enter here... the diamond in the rough." Then, Aladdin himself, who is portrayed by Mena Massoud, is revealed, attempting to pick up the magical lamp as the screen abruptly turns black.

The teaser comes one day after Will Smith, who will be playing Robin Williams’ wise-cracking Genie, posted a first glimpse of the movie’s poster. “LEMME OUT!! Can’t wait for y’all to see Me BLUE!” he captioned the image.

Aladdin will also star Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. The film is slated to be released in May 24, 2019.

Peach vs. Joe: A Look at the Villains on 'You'

It was obvious from the first few minutes of Lifetime’s You that bookstore clerk Joe (Penn Badgley) was a villain. He used the scant personal information Beck (Elizabeth Lail) gave him to track her down, insinuated himself into her life and seemingly made her fall in love with him. But as the show has progressed, it has become clear that Beck has many “villains” in her life. And this week, we clearly saw that her supposed bestie, Peach (Shay Mitchell), is one of them.

In "Living With the Enemy," we learned that Joe despises Peach and sees her as a destructive influence in Beck’s life. Now given that Joe has been lying to Beck, it can be hard to trust his perception of events. But the episode provided plenty of evidence that Peach is just as sinister as Joe, and while Joe’s actions (say, kidnapping and murdering Benji) may be more violent than Peach’s blackmail and put downs, both are damaging to the people around them.

Here’s a recap of the craziest things Joe and Peach have done, in only five episodes of You. And warning, spoilers lie ahead...

Episode One: Joe breaks into Beck’s apartment.

This show sure started with a bang when in the very first episode Joe had already managed to find his way inside Beck’s apartment. If this happened so soon in the series, you know things are only going to get crazier from here.

Episode Two: Joe steal’s Peach’s rare Wizard of Oz book.

This feels oddly tame compared to Joe’s other behavior throughout the series. He presumably steals this book just because... he can? Or maybe he wants to give it to his neighbor Paco? Who knows. But it sure does tick Peach off and makes her start to keep a closer eye on him.

Episode Two: Joe murders Benji.

We all knew this was coming once Joe put Benji in his basement prison, but it was still very unsettling to watch Joe have no reservations about killing someone in cold blood.

Episode Four: Joe follows Beck to the Charles Dickens festival.

It’s one thing to pretend to casually run into someone at say, a grocery store or coffee house and call it a coincidence, but a Charles Dickens festival? How do you explain that as a coincidence? Joe tries and Beck, once again buys into his story, as I scream at my TV. This really should have made Beck suspicious, but, nope.

Episode Four: Peach tries to track down her missing book at Joe’s bookstore.

Peach sure is determined to get that book back (even though I doubt she is reading rare L. Frank Baum novels on the reg). At this point it’s hard to tell if she wants her book back or if she wants to prove to Beck that something is wrong with Joe. So, she goes to Joe’s bookstore to get what is rightfully hers. But, instead of finding her rare book, she just finds Joe’s sweet lovable co-worker, Ethan. (Please don’t let anything happen to Ethan!)

Episode Five: Peach posts an old, unflattering video of her friend Annika on Instagram—anonymously.

Undermining her friends so that she can remain queen bee is where Peach thrives, and that was never as clear as when Peach posts an unflattering video of her friend Annika to Instagram as retaliation for an unflattering picture Annika posted of Peach. Using social media to attack people is just plain wrong and this reaction seems a little over the top, even for Peach.

Episode Five: Peach sets Beck up with a literary agent, who turns out to be a big creep.

Another case of Peach knocking down her friends to make sure they come crawling back to her. Initially it looks like Peach is helping Beck network to get her writing published, but instead she ends up sending Beck into the back of a limo with a creepy man. It’s time for Beck and Annika to realize that this isn’t how friends treat each other and cut Peach loose.

Episode Five: Joe steals Peach’s laptop to begin stalking her.

This whole sequence was confusing, but somehow, Joe gets a hold of Peach’s laptop and works his magic to uncover the secrets of her life (see below). When Peach comes to accuse him of stealing her laptop, he is able to somehow manipulate the “Find My Laptop” software to show that her laptop is right at home where she left it.

Episode Five: Peach is maybe obsessed with Beck.

In Joe’s exploration of Peach’s belongings and online footprint, he discovers that she might be more into Beck than she says she is. Now there’s nothing wrong with Peach being in love with Beck—love is love, people—but what is wrong is if Peach’s love borders on obsession. And given that she has photos of Beck stashed away (and Beck’s name is part of Peach’s password), I’d say that Peach is a little bit obsessed.

Episode Five: Peach—maybe—overdoses to get Beck’s attention.

Peach fakes an overdose to bring Beck’s attention away from Joe and back to her, which might be the craziest thing that has happened on this show to date. This is wrong on so many levels, but it is especially upsetting to see how Peach preys upon Beck’s connection to addiction to manipulate her.

Episode Five: Joe doesn’t even try to help Peach during her medical emergency.

During the hysterics with Peach, you might be wondering where Joe is. Well, he’s with Beck, of course! And when Beck asks him to find Naloxone, to aid Peach during her medical emergency, he takes his sweet time (which, of course, is not what you should do in any sort of emergency). Beck reprimands Joe for his action (or should I say, in-action) and lectures him on the consequences, but we all know that Joe isn’t bothered by this, because he would prefer it if Peach weren’t around. Which brings us to…

Episode Five: Joe tries to kill Peach on her daily jog.

At the end of the episode, Joe is once again following Peach on her daily jog. Only this time, instead of just following her, her hits her over the head with a rock. In the moments after this, we see Joe,for the first time, consider the consequences of his actions. But as he’s worrying about murdering Peach in broad daylight, he runs into Beck, who informs him that Peach has been hospitalized after being attacked.

In the preview for next week’s episode, it seems that Peach is okay and that she and Joe are once again at odds, competing for Beck’s love and attention. If I could give Beck a piece of advice, it would be to run. Far, far away from these people.

You airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.

After reports surfaced that Selena Gomez was receiving treatment at a psychiatric facility — where she's still continuing therapy to improve her physical, mental and emotional health — Cardi B added to the many people sending Selena support.

In an interview with E! News, Cardi discussed working with Selena on their recent single, "Taki Taki."

"When I met her, she was such a sweet, adorable person," Cardi said on the set of an upcoming project with Fashion Nova. "She's really what you see. She's really a sweetheart."

Cardi continued, "I just want to let her know, girl, you're beautiful, you're rich and hold on because even sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind. I just got to pray hard to God and get away from social media."

Selena actually announced last month that she was taking a hiatus from social media to live her life "present to the moment" she's been given. In the post, also encouraged her followers to remember that "negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings."

Cardi told E! News that she could relate to how Selena might be feeling. "You could go on vacation, you could go anywhere in the world but you can't escape your mind," she said.

For her, the best way to cope with anxiety or pressure from the public is being "surrounded with people that love you."

"Sometimes I go to my grandmother's house and I stay there for two weeks because they uplift me," Cardi said. "Sometimes I go upstate to my family's house and they pray for me. We do prayers for a full two hours and I feel uplifted."

In recent weeks, Selena was reportedly found to have a low white cell blood count — common for those who have received kidney transplants, like Selena did last summer amid her ongoing battle with lupus. She's still recovering while also dealing with depression, anxiety and panic attacks.

6 Mistakes Most High School Seniors Make When They Apply to College

The very phrase “college admissions process” can send high schoolers into a spiral of stress, anxiety and uncertainty. It’s a daunting concept, and on top of getting the grades and being involved in extracurriculars to get into your dream school, you still have to jump through the application hoops. These can include anything from tons of essays to even interviews. It’s important to be aware of some subtle mistakes that can jeopardize the college application process; these are mistakes that you may miss when you’re focused on the main parts of your application. Here are some of the most common errors most high school seniors make when they apply to college and how to avoid them.

1. You procrastinate

With the sheer number of tasks to check off when you apply to schools, it’s no wonder most seniors try to delay the inevitable as long as possible. But living in denial is only going to hurt you in the long run. According to Timothy Jaconette, a former admissions office employee at Stanford University and the founder of college admission consulting company Advanced Admit, it’s important to start the process early.

“If you wait until the deadline to write something, you may not be happy with your final outcome,” Jaconette explains. “I strongly believe the real key is to start on your application essays early and write multiple drafts of the essay. If you have a friend or professional admission coach who will hold you accountable for finishing your work early, you can create amazing essays.”

If you can, start preparing for college when you start high school. That way, you can go into your challenging courses with a goal in mind and start building up your resume, adding depth as well as breadth. High school is a busy and exciting time, but also full of hard work. Make sure it isn’t wasted by procrastinating on your application and not doing your absolute best.

“Even though you have so much happening in high school, acing your application truly could improve your educational outcome,” Jaconette says. “You spent so many years of your life studying, why throw it all away with an imperfect set of application essays?”

In the end, starting your applications well before the deadline, as well as being conscious of the application process before senior year, can set you on the path to success and lower levels of stress.

2. You don’t know what you want

Applying to colleges can be especially overwhelming if you have no idea what you want out of your school and your overall university experience. Investigate a variety of schools, even if you don’t think they’re right for you, and decide what factors are most important to you.

How big do you want your school to be? Do you want Greek life? How about sports? Private or public? What geographic region? Actually thinking about these questions and why they matter to you will make the selection process far easier. Additionally, remember the real reason you’re going to college: to continue your education. No, you don’t have to know what you want to do with your life, but try to explore subjects that could be potentially interesting to you and that you would want to learn more about.

“Go onto Google Scholar or go to a local university library and find the academic journals of your favorite subject,” suggests Jaconette. “Read a few of those articles. Find some concepts that interest you. Talk about them with your friends, your teachers and anyone who will listen to you.”

This is essentially what you will do in your college courses, and if you find subjects that spark your curiosity, look for schools that value these subjects, too.

3. You apply to the wrong schools

Without knowing what you want, you’ll inevitably waste time applying to schools that just aren’t right for you. A school might sound good at first – maybe it has a great reputation or awesome sports teams – but that doesn’t mean it’s the right fit for you. According to Dr. Bari Norman, a certified educational planner and Co-Founder and President of Expert Admissions, students sometimes underestimate the importance of a good fit before applying.

“I think seniors often craft their lists without a true regard for the importance of fit--both in terms of the impact on admissions decisions and overall happiness once you're actually in college,” she says.

Jaconette also suggests looking for schools that match your academic interests. “Look for a school with the undergraduate program you actually need,” he explains. “For example, even though it is a famous school, UC Berkeley does not have a nursing program. It simply won't get you where you want to go if you are trying to be a nurse anesthetist.”

You don’t have to go into college with a clear career path in mind, but if there’s something you’re even slightly considering, don’t limit yourself by going to a school that doesn’t even offer a program in it.

4. You take all advice personally

There’s plenty of information about college admissions, but sometimes you have to navigate the information overload to follow the advice that best fits you.

“There's a lot of information out there about college admissions,” Dr. Norman says. “It's a good thing because you have an enormous amount of information at your fingertips; and it's a not so good thing because it's a lot to sift through, it's not always accurate, and because advice and strategy is so individualized.”

Read everything with a grain of salt and think of the big picture. Is this relevant to you? “You can read something, and even if it's good, solid information, it doesn't mean it's the right advice for you,” Dr. Norman says.

Also, you probably are receiving advice from many different people. While they might have good intentions, make sure their stories are relevant to you, especially since they may not necessarily be based on expert knowledge. It’s important to surround yourself with supportive and knowledgeable advisors who have your best interests at heart.

5. You don’t take advantage of your resources

Your college counselor can offer you tons of valuable information and assistance. Most high schools have one or more college counselors whose primary job is to be there for you—to answer your questions, give you advice and make tailor this process to your specific needs.

“Students should have open and consistent communication with a trusted college advisor,” says Dr. Norman. “There will be a lot of voices out there giving you advice about this process; you need to know who you trust most.”

It’s your future, so it’s your choice and your responsibility to take charge of the admissions process. Just don’t be afraid to reach out for help if you need it. Not only are there advisors at your high school willing to help, but there are plenty of college admissions coaches and consultants ready to guide you. Admissions professionals, as well as admissions officers, want you to succeed.

“If you read all the emails I read from admissions professionals across the nation, you would learn about the amazing, selfless and truly caring nature of admissions counselors in America,” says Jaconette. “Many gave up high paying careers to help students find a fantastic match.”

Counter to what you may believe, they really are on your side and are trying to match you to a school best suited to you. They work behind the scenes to help you succeed at their schools.

6. You don’t act like yourself

How are you going to end up at the right school if you pretend to be someone else during the admissions process?

According to Dr. Norman, students will try to over perform in their essays, but it just creates writing that feels forced and inauthentic. Her one piece of knowledge to give to all high school seniors: “Let your guard down in your essay." Your essays are your chance to show who you are as a person, outside of your grades and your resume. Make sure it is a genuine portrayal.

As stressful as the college admissions process is, hopefully you now have an idea of what not to do and can then focus on what you need to do. Get a head start and ask for help from your support system if you need it. And in the end, if you’re looking over your application materials and wondering if it will be enough to get you into your dream school, remember to stay true yourself. You don’t have to have flawless grades and a laundry list of clubs and volunteer work as long as you apply to schools best suited to your needs.

In the words of Dr. Norman, “Perfection is rarely interesting or compelling.”

Shine Bright, Shine Far — 'Life-Size 2' Has a Premiere Date

Prepare to feel nostalgic this holiday season, because Life-Size 2 will premiere Dec. 2 on Freeform.

It's been 18 years since the first Disney Channel film — which featured Tyra Banks as a Barbie doll come to life, and Lindsey Lohan as a young girl still grieving the loss of her mother — so it's safe to say fans are excited for the sequel.

Banks announced the date on Friday in a tweet, with the caption referencing lyrics to "Be A Star" from the first film, "Are you ready to shine brighter and farther?" She also included a look at Life-Size 2's first poster.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the movie will follow a 25-year-old CEO named Grace (played by grown-ish's Francia Raisa) who inherits the toy company that produced Eve, who returns to help Grace navigate a quarter-life crisis.

Lohan won't be returning to the sequel due to production conflicts with her upcoming MTV reality show. However, Banks told EW that the film will feature "something beautiful" relating to Lohan's character of Casey Stuart.

"[It will] speak to die-hard fans," Banks said. "I can't say how, but you will see something."

Regarding Lohan's absence, Banks added, "It’s normal to have comfort, particularly with what you know, and the unknown is kind of fearful and kind of scary. [But] when [fans] see this movie, they’re going to be like, ‘Woah, this is a really good movie!"

Melania Trump Said She Wore the "I Really Don't Care" to Send a Message to the "Left-Wing Media"

In a new interview with ABC News, first lady Melania Trump changed her story on the infamous jacket she wore that said "I really don't care. Do U?" while visiting migrant children in Texas over the summer.

The jacket's bold statement was the subject of harsh criticism on social media as it was seen as insensitive. At the time, Melania's spokesperson Stephanie Grisham simply stated, "It's a jacket. There was no hidden message."

Grisham later doubled down, tweeting, "Today's visit w the children in Texas impacted @FLOTUS greatly," she tweeted. "If media would spend their time & energy on her actions & efforts to help kids - rather than speculate & focus on her wardrobe - we could get so much accomplished on behalf of children. #SheCares #ItsJustAJacket."

But according to Melania, it wasn't just a jacket — she wanted to mess with reporters who she claims pay too much attention to her clothes.

"I would prefer that they focus on what I do, and my initiatives, than what I wear," she said. "You know I often asking myself, I would not wear that if I would have so much media coverage. It's obvious I didn't wear the jacket for the children. I wore the jacket to go on the plane and off the plane. And it was for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticizing me."

Melania continued, "I want to show them that I don't care. You could criticize whatever you want to say, but it will not stop me to do what I feel is right."

She thought her point was proven because of "how the media got obsessed by it."

It's currently unknown why Melania would change her story, but it might have to do with the fact that President Trump initially contradicted Grisham's stance by saying the jacket was indeed meant to send a message to the media.

How to Stay Healthy When Everyone on Campus Is Getting Sick

When the new school year starts, everyone is excited to be back on campus and see their friends again. Everything seems fun and new — until you’re a month in and your nose starts feeling stuffy, or your body starts to ache. Now what do you do?

Almost all students will at some point suffer through some of the most common illnesses in college; these range from the stomach flu to the common cold to strep throat, according to Dr. Christina Johns, senior medical advisor for PM Pediatrics.

So how do you cope when you have a test to study for but don’t feel like leaving your room?

1. Use preventative measures

Even better than getting treatment for an illness is preventing yourself from getting sick altogether.

“The best defense against common college campus infections is a good offense,” says Dr. Johns.

Simple measures that you’ve been taught your whole life, such as washing your hands or covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze, still apply even though your mom isn’t there to remind you all the time.

Illnesses often thrive on college campuses because everyone is living in such close proximity with one another. If one of your friends is coming down with something, they will definitely understand if you keep your distance for a couple days until they get better, or at least carry around some hand sanitizer to kill any lingering germs.

“After class always make sure to wash your hands since you were sitting at a desk that you do not know who was sitting there before,” says Dr. David Greuner of NYC Surgical Associates. “Many times in college people always seem to be sharing things from utensils to drinks to toothbrushes even...I think the most common mistake is sharing items like water bottles, lipsticks, utensils, clothes, etc. If your friend is sick make sure to not share items with them.”

This gives BYOB a whole new level of importance — who knows how many germs can be lingering in shared Solo cups or bottles being passed around at bars and parties?

Above all, getting enough sleep and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, both for your body and your mind, are the best way to prevent illnesses.

“The biggest mistake by far that students make that results in sickness is letting themselves get run down,” says Dr. Johns. “Not getting enough sleep and eating poorly really plays a huge role in how well the body manages the inevitable occasional sickness that transpires from routine contact with circulating germs that cause illness.”

Stress also plays a huge role in staying healthy.

“Give yourself a break when life gets stressful,” says Timothy Jaconette, college admissions consultant and founder of Advanced Admit. “Very little in college is a life or death situation; constant stress and worrying can make your more prone to illnesses that will hamper your academic performance.”

2. Practice good hygiene

This doesn’t just apply to your hands, but where you live, too!

Keep your living area clean to keep yourself feeling healthy. Dirty clothes and sheets are a great way to let germs linger, and therefore increase your chances of getting sick.

“Do laundry regularly so that more germs aren’t hanging around in sweaty, dirty workout clothing,” says Dr. Johns.

Wash your sheets regularly, and don’t forget your pillowcases, too.

Additionally, be cautious about the cleanliness of anything you use around or on your eyes, like makeup or hand towels. Pink eye is extremely common on college campuses, so keeping anything that touches your eyes germ-free is your best bet to avoid it.

Besides just washing your hands, carry around hand sanitizer to use after class, before eating at the dining hall and after working out. Popular communal areas like classrooms and rec centers have so many people (and therefore so many germs) flowing in and out throughout the day, so it’s important to arm yourself against potential illness. It goes both ways, though — make sure you’re leaving spaces clean for the next use, like wiping down any gym equipment you use.

3. Take advantage of your student health center

Most campuses have student health centers catered towards taking care of their students’ health and well-being. Depending on your school, the services could include doctors and nurses for walk-in appointments, pharmacies to fill prescriptions or even mental health counseling. Investigate your resources before you get sick so you’re prepared for whatever cold and flu season throws at you.

In addition to student health centers, some dorms have programs to help you get well soon, too.

“Some dorms, such as those at UC Berkeley, have offered ‘health workers’ to students,” says Jaconette. “They are usually pre-med students who can help you out if you fall ill. Ask your RA about programs like this before you catch a cold.”

Even if your dorm doesn’t have a program like this, reach out to someone in the closest dining hall to you — they’ll usually give students “care packages” that include hot soup, cough drops and more.

4. Deal with your symptoms quickly

Once you start feeling under the weather, it’s important to figure out what exactly is wrong with you in order to properly treat yourself.

“Infections caused by viruses, like the common cold, mono, regular flu and stomach flu are all treated with just comfort measures and hydration alone,” Dr. Johns says. “Specific illnesses that are caused by a bacterial infection, like strep throat, need antibiotics.”

Don’t make the mistake of thinking you have to power through an illness on your own. The sooner you start treating your illness, the sooner it will run its course.

“Your body has already been pushed to the limit, or you were exposed to someone with a mean virus and that might be why you are sick,” says Dr. Ian Tong, Chief Medical Officer at Doctor On Demand. “Once that happens, slow down and don’t hesitate to see a doctor. Most viral illnesses are self-limited [meaning it will go away on its own] and need to run their course, but seeing a doctor and treating your infection early for the flu, UTIs, meningitis and sexually transmitted infections is critical to preventing further spread and getting you to feel better faster.”

Be sure to visit your student health center or a local doctor as soon as you start feeling sick!

At some point in your college career, you’re likely going to find yourself feeling too sick to go to class or even get out of bed. Feeling sick is bad enough, but don’t prolong illness by not taking the appropriate steps to prevent, shorten and get rid of whatever’s got you down. If you start feeling a little under the weather, take a moment to slow down, and make sure you get some rest. Your body and your friends will thank you!

Halloween is one of the most exciting times of the year, especially if you're in college. No, not because of the candy, but because we finally have the chance to get creative with our costumes on our own terms! But, some of us might not have the time to get super fancy, spending hours on hair and makeup, or tons of money on intricate costumes. So what are we to do? Luckily, in today's day in age, we have plenty of resources for quick and easy Halloween ideas. Here are seven cute and semi-easy Halloween makeup ideas, sure to inspire anyone in need.

1. An adorable deer

All you need is some black and brown eyeliner, lip liner, bronzer, and mascara. The white dots are def cute, but aren't entirely necessary for this look. But if you are interested, we'd suggest using white eyeliner to pop them on. Top it off with some adorable buns, and you've got Bambi! Who doesn't love this sweet and simple look?

2. Creepy, but cute

For this look, you need heavy black eyeliner, red lipstick, and blush to create what we call "creepy, but cute". Fake lashes are also a great idea to complete the aesthetic. This classic, unsettling doll can be completed with braids or pig-tails, hair bows, and any cute little dress. Perfect for a last minute costume!

3. The cutest kitty-cat

Are you starting to sense a theme? For this look, you really only need black eyeliner, however, we'd suggest using a liquid lip for the nose, because it's easier to paint on and lasts all night. You can also complete this look with some space buns and fake lashes to create that cute (and sexy) kitty cat.

4. A simple mime

If you wanna try out this makeup idea, you'll have the most unique costume in the room! Why? Well, because no one really thinks about being a mime for Halloween. But, it's simple, it's easy, and it works! All you need is some white face paint and eyeliner! Or, you can add red lipstick if you want to get fancy with it, and accessorize with a French beret!

5. The sweetest scarecrow

We'd suggest a coral-toned bronzer and a warm eyeshadow pallet to create the various parts of this makeup. This look can be created by blacking out the lips, adding some lines to look like stitching, creating a "patch" for your nose, and filling it in with a warm orange or yellow. (It probably looks harder than it is.) Finish it off with your favorite fall flannel and you're good to go!

6. A glittery alien

Glitter alien makeup will never go out of fashion. It is so unique, can be done a thousand different ways, and it looks great on everyone. Here's what you'll need: metallic shadow (from any colorful pallet), loose glitter, lipstick, and highlight.

You can base your aliens color scheme off of whatever you own. The best way to create the alien look is by contouring your face sharply with "out of this world" colors, then add the highlight and glitter to the high points of your face. Pin up those space-buns, and be on your merry way!

7. Comic book character

Pop-art makeup has been such a hit on Halloween because it's relatively easy to create. All you need to do is trace your features with black liner, black out your brows, and make them a little blocky, add some bright lipstick and eyeshadow – then you're a comic book character! The best part about this makeup is the fact that nothing has to be blended or perfect, it can all be blocky and exaggerated. It's a great costume for those of us with minimal makeup capability. However, you can spice this look up with colored dots and tear drops. Top it off with a funky wig and you're good to go!

So go ahead, and wait last second to come up with this years Halloween look. We've got you covered.

Melania Trump Said She Wore The 'I Really Don't Care' Jacket To Send a Message To The 'Left-Wing Media'

'Avengers 4' Directors Wrap Filming By Sharing Mysterious Glowing Photo

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo continue to tease us with cryptic photos and tweets about the upcoming “Avengers 4” movie. The director brothers, who also directed the third Avengers installment, “Avengers: Infinity War,” couldn’t help but tease Marvel fans even more by sharing a mysterious glowing photo, announcing that they had officially “#wrapped” filming for the next Avengers film.

The Russos tweeted a picture of a blindingly glowing object, and fans have been studying it to find any hidden secrets that will provide some clue about the upcoming Avengers movie, according to Deadline.

What could it possibly be? A glowing set light? Captain America’s coffin (since actor Chris Evans recently announced that he is done playing Captain America)?

Who knows what it could be, but it’s definitely giving me goosebumps.

via Giphy

The directors have teased us in the past with other cryptic photos on social media. Back in September, the brothers released a photo of Joe Russo working on a laptop on what appears to be a movie set. The caption read, “Look hard...”

Fans looked hard indeed, with fan theories materializing and some spotting four hidden A’s on the set. Some fans even hoped to find a hidden “Avengers 4” movie poster somewhere in the background of the set.

“Avengers: Infinity War” was Marvel’s most profitable film, grossing over $2 billion worldwide, so it’s totally understandable that fans are beyond excited for the upcoming installment.

According to The Huffington Post, the post-credits scene in the “Avengers: Infinity War” gave a nod to Captain Marvel, the newest superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), played by Brie Larson. Captain Marvel will officially enter the MCU on March 8, 2019, in her self-titled film. Her film will lead us into “Avengers 4,” which is set to release on May 3, 2019.

As we await the fate of our favorite superheroes (disintegrated by Thanos or not), we’ll continue to study the Russo brothers mysterious picture, looking for clues about the next Avengers installment.

6 Fun Ways To Stay In Touch With College Friends After You Graduate

They say you find your true friends in college, but what happens to the friendship after it’s all over? It’s understandable to lose track of friendships after graduation—life happens, you get caught up in the stress of officially being an adult and sometimes you just forget to check-in because you don’t see your friends every day around campus anymore. However, your friendships don’t have to dwindle away. Here’s a list of fun ways to keep your friendships fun and active, and ways to stay connected with each other, after college.

1. Create a group text or GroupMe

The fastest way of communication is with your phone. With today’s technology and smartphones being improved every year, everything is at your fingertips. A great way to keep in touch with your friends from college is by creating a group text, an iMessage group or a group on the GroupMe app. You’ll be able to talk, keep it updated every day and have your friends right at your fingertips. Apps like Instagram and Snapchat also have a group feature where you can send posts (and other posts from other people) to your group chat. And whenever you need some quiet time, utilizing the do not disturb feature on iMessage and turning notifications off on specific apps is easily accessible.

2. Celebrate each other’s birthdays

One big way that friends usually come together is during birthdays. Remembering and celebrating each other on the one day you call your own can become a special thing between friends as well. You can either plan something every year on each other’s birthday, or create a fun gifting tradition. Some ideas could include sending funny birthday cards that everyone signs, making handmade gifts or creating a box or basket full of their favorite things. Starting a birthday tradition will be one that everyone can enjoy and will remember for years.

3. Watch TV shows together

Now that almost everything we watch on TV can be streamed, a way to keep your friendship fun is to binge watch your favorite show, or something completely new you can explore together. If you’re close in location, have a weekly night to come over and watch the show together. Shows that run on cable usually have their own day of the week. Make it even more fun by adding food and wine, especially if it’s a TGIT night. If you and your friends are far from each other, set up Skype or FaceTime while the show is playing.

4. Create a monthly activity

Having a weekly night to binge watch shows can also be turned into a monthly tradition for other activities. Scheduling a wine night or a movie night with your friends every month can easily become a tradition that you can be consisten with. Anai Perez, a 2017 graduate of St. John’s University says, “My best friends and I all live on opposite sides of the country now that we've graduated (New York, California, Florida and Texas to be exact). We have monthly wine nights via OoVoo where we catch up with each other and we all even drink the same wine.” If you guys are foodies, Sunday brunches at new restaurants are always a fun way to spend time together. Even for the times where everyone is balling on a budget, cooking together at someone’s house or having picnics in a park will still bring everyone together to spend time with one another. For a healthy activity, invite each other to your favorite gym to exercise, or try doing yoga together.

5. Plan group vacations or make travel plans to visit each other

Adult life after college gets very stressful at times, and if you’re not careful, you could work yourself too much. It’s important to take time to relax and rejuvenate, and why not bring your friends along? A fun way to keep your friendships active is to travel and go on vacations with each other. Plan road trips to see each other or bigger trips out of the country. Make it memorable by taking pictures at every location and printing them out, or making sure to buy a souvenir from each place you go to. Shira Kipnees, a 2015 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, says, “We’ll do things like spend New Year’s Eve together (and make it a weekend) at one girl’s apartment and then spend some time in that city and have some fun parties. Another thing some of us do is to plan a once a year reunion in NYC and spend a day or together doing fun things and going out for a meal—this works out well especially when you have a mixed-gender group and is a great way to see each other.” Another fun activity to do together is traveling to different music festivals. There’s nothing like music to bring people together.

6. Plan to meet up at alma mater events

Even though you and your friends may not see each other everyday, there will always be one mutual place that is held deep in your hearts—your school! Now that you’re a part of the alumni club, getting together to go back to your alma mater can be a special time for all of you. Make plans to attend those first football or basketball games of the season together, or make homecoming a big deal by getting dressed up in your school colors and attending the game. There are also alumni events that you and your friends may find interesting to go to together. This is the place where you found each other and formed your friendship. Why not go back and visit together?

Maintaining your friendships after college may be a little harder, but it's not impossible if everyone makes the effort to keep it fun and active. Adding some of these activities into your friendship will definitely keep you connected and may even bring you closer together.

Ben & Jerry's is Hosting Halloween Tours of Their Flavor Graveyard & It Sounds Spooktacular

Graveyards are popular sooky destinations for Halloween time, and we’ve found the spookiest of them all. However, this isn’t your typical graveyard. It’s the graveyard of all Ben & Jerry’s “de-pinted” ice cream flavors. Cue the horrified gasps.

On October 9th, the ice cream company announced they would be hosting special spooky Halloween tours of their Flavor Graveyard later this month, honoring all of their “dearly de-pinted” ice cream flavors, Travel & Leisure reports.

Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Graveyard, near the company’s plant and headquarters in Waterbury, Vermont, is where all discontinued flavors go after they have passed on to “the great waffle cone in the sky.” Surrounded by a white picket fence, the Flavor Graveyard is currently home to 40 discontinued flavors — including Wavy Gravy, Rainforest Crunch, Peanuts! Popcorn! and Ethan Almond — that were either removed from shelves to save space or were just major no-no’s against ice cream science.

Each flavor has its very own granite tombstone and features cheeky epitaphs.

“Ben & Jerry’s is known for outrageous, chunky, funky flavors,” Flavor Guru Eric Fredette said in a press release. “But experimentation comes with risk, and not everybody likes our edgier ideas. Like everything else, ice cream flavors have a beginning and an end.”

Now this year, when visitors take a tour of the Ben & Jerry’s factory and the Flavor Graveyard between October 29 and 31, they will be treated to a special treat. Guests will be treated (not tricked) with a special tasting of a limited edition pumpkin pie ice cream available only in Waterbury, Fox News reports.

Sounds absolutely spooktacular! Because what’s better than having some ice cream after walking through a spooky graveyard?

For more information on the Halloween tours of the Flavor Graveyard, visit Ben & Jerry’s website. If you can’t make it to Vermont to pay your respects to flavors of days past, you can take a virtual tour.

Saudi Arabia Threatened to Retaliate Against Any Sanctions the U.S. Imposes Over Missing Journalist

As international pressure mounted against Saudi Arabia over the disappearance of Washington Post journalist and Saudi royal insider-turned-critic, Jamal Khashoggi, the kingdom came out swinging on Sunday, threatening to retaliate against the United States if it were to implement sanctions.

Khashoggi, who is a columnist for The Washington Post, went missing after visiting the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2 to obtain paperwork that would allow him to marry his Turkish fiancée.

Turkish authorities have said they believe 15 Saudi men who arrived in Istanbul on October 2 are connected to Khashoggi’s disappearance and possible death. Some of the men appear to have connections in the Saudi government.

A source familiar with the investigation into the journalist’s death told CNN that Turkish authorities have audio and video evidence that Khashoggi was killed in the Saudi consulate.

The journalist’s disappearance has drawn condemnation from the international community, with President Donald Trump warning Saturday that there could be “severe punishment” if the Saudis are behind Khashoggi’s death.

via AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin

Germany, Britain and France demanded a “credible investigation” on Sunday, saying “light must be shed” on Khashoggi’s disappearance.

“Germany, the United Kingdom and France share the grave concern expressed by others including HRVP [Federica] Mogherini and UNSG [Antonio] Guterres, and are treating this incident with the utmost seriousness. There needs to be a credible investigation to establish the truth about what happened, and -- if relevant -- to identify those bearing responsibility for the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi, and ensure that they are held to account,” the countries said in a joint statement.

“We encourage joint Saudi-Turkish efforts in that regard, and expect the Saudi Government to provide a complete and detailed response. We have conveyed this message directly to the Saudi authorities.”

British foreign minister Jeremy Hunt, in a separate statement, called on Saudi Arabia to explain what happened to Khashoggi at the consulate, saying, “If they have got nothing to hide, then they will and should cooperate.”

“If, as they say, this terrible murder didn't happen, then where is Jamal Khashoggi? That's what the world wants to know,” Hunt told UK Pool.

In a press release Sunday from the official Saudi Press Agency, the kingdom rejected any political pressure of economic sanctions, saying it would “respond with greater action.”

In an op-ed published later Sunday, Turki Aldakhil, general manager of the Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya news channel, warned the United States that if it imposed sanctions it would “stab its own economy to death,” causing oil prices to skyrocket and leading Saudi Arabia to allow Russia to have military base in the city of Tabuk, CNN reports.

“The information circulating within decision-making circles within the kingdom have gone beyond the rosy language used in the statement,” Aldakhil wrote, referring to Saudi Arabia’s earlier comments.

“There are simple procedures, that are part of over 30 others, that Riyadh will implement directly, without flinching an eye if sanctions are imposed,” he said.

“If US sanctions are imposed on Saudi Arabia, we will be facing an economic disaster that would rock the entire world,” he added.

In the fallout of Khashoggi’s disappearance, international companies have already withdrawn from a high-profile investment summit that was set to take place later this month Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, The Huffington Post reports.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo declined to confirm on Saturday if U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will be attending the Future Investment Initiative conference being hosted by the Saudi Crown Prince later this month.

“I think we need to continue to evaluate the facts and we'll make that decision -- I talked to Secretary Mnuchin about it last night, we'll be taking a look at it through the rest of the week,” Pompeo told reporters in the Oval Office on Saturday.

The Saudi Embassy in Washington D.C. tweeted a statement on Sunday, writing, “To help clarify recently issued Saudi statement, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia extends its appreciation to all, including the US administration, for refraining from jumping to conclusions on the ongoing investigation.”

How She Got There: Leiliani Sanchez, Influencer Campaign Director at Stargazer

Name: Leiliani Sanchez

Age: 23

Job Title & Description: Influencer Campaign Director. I execute successful campaigns for clients by identifying areas of opportunity to promote the brand, while maintaining performance results and recruiting new customers.

College Name & Major: International Business and Marketing at Florida International University

Website: https://stargazer.co/

Instagram Handle: @stargazer.co

Social media has a significant role in the average college student’s life—it’s almost a routine at this point. Either you wake up and your first instinct is to mindlessly scroll through Instagram, or you’re clicking on news links via Twitter throughout the day. Social media has become such an integral part of our lives that recently, it’s been parlayed into careers. Social media influencers, flaunting their fabulous lives all over our Instagram feeds (cue jealousy), are becoming an increasing number among online celebrities these days. This growing number is inspiring the creation of influencer marketing companies—including Stargazer, a new start-up devoted to the branding of influencers.

Leiliani Sanchez, the Lead Campaign Director for Poshmark at Stargazer, talks to Her Campus today about the importance of good team chemistry, letting go of perfectionist tendencies, and how it feels to have a leadership role at Stargazer at only 23 years old.

Her Campus: What does your current job entail? Is there such a thing as a typical day?

Leiliani Sanchez: Every day is usually different at the office, but my typical tasks include checking emails, chatting with influencer managers, and delegating tasks to my team. As a start-up company, we are always learning and growing, which makes every day a new adventure.

HC: What is the best part of your job?

LS: The best part of my job is definitely the co-working environment. Our company, Stargazer, is based out of The LAB Miami, which is an awesome creative working space for entrepreneurs and creatives. My company really thrives off of working as a team and interacting with the other businesses in the office. I love constantly being around fun and hard working people.

HC: What was your first entry-level job in your field and how did you get it?

LS: I actually started off as an intern at Stargazer. After working for two days, they offered me a full-time position. Six months later and I was promoted to my current role as the lead campaign director for Poshmark. I got my internship by being persistent and following up with the company’s CEO.  I would advise any college graduate to always follow-up after an interview.

HC: What words of wisdom (well-known quotes, an anecdote from your boss) do you find most valuable?

LS: My boss Antoine Forest always says “done is better than perfect.”  As a perfectionist, this was hard to grasp at first, but being part of the start-up community the challenge is getting everything done because there are so many little things to get done and accepting everything can’t be perfect is the only way.

HC: What is one mistake you made along the way and what did you learn from it?

LS: When I first became the lead campaign director for Poshmark, I got overwhelmed with pressure to maintain the success of the campaign. With the support of my team, I realized that I couldn’t do everything on my own, especially for such a huge campaign. It was important that as a leader, I learned how to delegate tasks effectively and communicate with my team.

HC: What has been the most surreal moment of your career thus far?

LS: Becoming the lead campaign director at 22 was a pretty surreal moment. If you work hard enough in your career, you can achieve anything.

HC: What do you look for when considering hiring someone?

LS: Aside from skills, we look for individuals with a positive attitude and great mindset. It’s really important at Stargazer that our team clicks and is able to work together happily.

HC: What advice would you give to a 20-something with similar aspirations?

LS: As a 20-something myself who is going after my dreams, I really believe in the power of manifestation. If you really want something, it will happen.

HC: What's the one thing that's stood out to you the most in a resume?

LS: The other day I came across a resume that was lacking organization and grammar skills. Learning how to communicate is extremely important, especially in the influencer marketing field. Always make sure you are putting your best foot forward in person and on paper.

Trump Adviser Says We Shouldn’t “Panic” Over Recent Climate Change Warning

A top economic adviser to President Donald Trump responded to a recent U.N. climate change report warning that drastic action must be taken over the next 12 years to prevent irreversible consequences, saying of the report: “I think they overestimate.”

Larry Kudlow, director of the White House National Economic Council, in an interview with ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on “This Week” Sunday said, “We're always studying these things. The issue here though is magnitudes and timing. Personally, I think the U.N. study is … way, way too difficult. I won't say it's a scare tactic but I think they overestimate.”

The U.N. report by 91 scientists from around the world said we must take “rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society” to try to stop environmental damage, including significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

Kudlow said he wasn’t “denying any climate change issues,” but questioned the accuracy of report’s findings.

“George, I'm just saying, do we know precisely? And I mean, [is it] worth modeling things like how much of it is manmade, how much of it is solar, how much of it is oceanic, how much of it is rain forest and other issues?” Kudlow said. “I think we're still exploring all of that.”

“I don't think we should panic,” Kudlow continued. “I don't think there's a, you know, imminent catastrophe coming, but I think we should look at this in a level-headed and analytical way.”

In a separate interview on “This Week,” Sen. Bernie Sanders said Kudlow’s comments were “so irresponsible, so dangerous that it’s just hard to believe that a leading government official could make them.”

“We are in crisis mode,” Sanders said. “And you have an administration that virtually does not even recognize the reality of climate change and their policies, [like] working with the fossil fuel industry, are making a bad situation worse.”

When asked about the Republican Party’s approach to climate change, Republican Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona told Stephanopoulos that he thinks the party is going in the wrong direction.

“There’s been more recognition among Republicans, [but] the administration hasn’t taken the view of the some of us that this is something we really need to deal with,” Flake said.

“I hope that we can move along with the rest of the world and, and address this,” Flake said. “Obviously that report that came out is, is pretty dire, but there are things that we can do and should do, and I think Republicans need to be at the forefront if we want to keep ... our place and keep our seats.”

Jared Kushner Paid Little to No Federal Income Tax for Years

Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Donald Trump and White House adviser, paid little to no federal income tax between 2009 and 2016, according to a New York Times report.

The publication reviewed tax bills and found what it calls a “common tax-minimizing maneuver” that allowed Kushner and his real estate firm, Kushner Companies, to mark losses on forms without actually losing money. While the White House adviser did not break the law, when he marked his losses through depreciation, it allowed his company to deduct a portion of the cost of its buildings from its taxable income.

The Times spoke with 13 tax accountants and lawyers who agreed that Kushner likely didn’t pay much — if any — federal income tax.

This latest report comes after a massive report from the Times that accused Trump of “outright fraud” in regards to his own tax schemes.

In regards to the report on the president, James Gazzale, a spokesman for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, said the department is now “reviewing the allegations in the New York Times article and is vigorously pursuing all appropriate avenues of investigation.”

Kushner Companies was recently fined $210,000 in August for lying about rent-protected tenants.

Chief of Staff John Kelly’s Leaked Emails Reveal Sexist Comments About Sen. Warren

A recently leaked email from White House Chief of Staff John Kelly has drawn criticism for sexist remarks against Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

BuzzFeed News reported that a February 2017 email exchange between Kelly, who was the Secretary of Homeland Security at the time, and Kevin Carroll, a senior counselor for the department.

In the email exchange, Kelly mentioned a phone conversation he had with Warren  regarding the Trump administration’s travel ban, saying it was “most insulting conversation I have ever had with anyone.”

“What an impolite arrogant woman,” Kelly wrote about Warren. “She immediately began insulting our people accusing them of not following the court order, insulting and abusive behavior towards those covered by the pause, blah blah blah.”

As Buzzfeed News reports, Warren, who was one of several public officials who opposed the travel ban, had contacted Kelly about constituents who had been barred from entering the U.S. as a result of the ban.

On Friday, Warren took to Twitter to say that Kelly had been ignoring her calls at the time about the travel ban, and had refused to give her his office number. The Massachusetts senator eventually got ahold of his cell phone number and called him to confront him about the travel ban.

“Was I tough on John Kelly in that phone call? You bet I was,” Warren wrote. “Apparently he thought I was an ‘impolite arrogant woman.’ ‘Blah blah blah’– that’s all he had to say when he was called out for breaking the law and destroying lives.”

Warren said that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and President Donald Trump “can’t shut [her] up,” and neither can Kelly.

“There are some men who can only hear “blah blah blah” whenever a woman’s talking,” Warren said of Kelly’s sexist remarks. “But there’s nothing impolite about people’s right to speak out and hold their government accountable. And sometimes, people are right to be angry.”
